2017-05-20: The Scattered Bones

- Summary: Takes place during the invasion of Adlehyde. The Scattered Bones roll out, both to help the people caught in the crossfire with the Metal Demons, and to use the chaos to dispose of less savory individuals without resistance.
As all hell breaks loose in Adlehyde, masked figures navigate through the chaos. Seen in every corner of the city, these black and brown-draped assassins, wielding all manners of bladed weapons, leap in from the shadows to save the worthy, and take the opportunity to leave the unworthy to die.

For every child or woman pulled away from a Metal Demon, for every invading grunt put down by the assassins, they also seem to turn around and do the unthinkable -- merchants with long histories of screwing over people find themselves tripped and left for dead, corrupt noblemen trying to escape at the expense of others find themselves with a knife in the back and used as bait to buy others time, selfish and greedy officials never even make it out of their houses, and so the pattern goes.
It is clear that they are not in league with the Metal Demons, as the assassins will target the invaders to help the innocent where they can. On the other hand, the death toll will be that much higher, as they seize the opportunity to rid Adlehyde of a list of individuals whose presences were detrimental to the people. If cornered, the assassins merely introduce themselves as the Scattered Bones before pulling out. Though they try their best to stay out of the light, given the chaotic nature of the attack many of them end up spotted.
In the event a kill is witnessed, the words "May these weary bones find peaceful rest." are always uttered by the assassins.
