  • Log: Miss Ragnell, I Implore You!
  • Cast: Riesenlied, Noeline, Seraph Ragnell
  • Where: Old Petra
  • Date: 11th June, 2017
  • Summary: Riesenlied continues her Seraph-sensing training and... also her teasing-resistance training.

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Between the topic of Malevolence and sensing it, and between the topic of the Guardians and defying them... it has become clear to Riesenlied that she needs to try to find a way to hone her senses -- as she so desires, to be able to understand Malevolence, to be able to empathise and connect... but that is not so easy a feat to achieve.

The winged commander is standing atop one of the many cliffs overlooking Old Petra, her wings spread as she extends her hands to either side. A small stream of photon particles exude from her wings, as she concentrates on her inner self, the way Cetiri has alluded to her, the way Kalve has explained... and two of her Pinions have deployed and bobbed by her side, as she concentrates on omitting outside distractions and looking inwards.

Could what is essentially a machine achieve such a result? Try as she might, Riese's light is merely that -- a byproduct of proton decay resulting in a positron and a neutral pion, further decaying into two gamma photons. It is not a light of the divine, a light of understanding...

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Ragnell has posed.

Ragnell came to Old Petra... not with the /intent/ of learning, but that's ultimately how it turned out. There's nothing wrong with that--Ragnell is an endlessly nosy, curious sort of Seraph who enjoys learning new things and meeting new people--but for the time being, it's mostly been watching Metal Demons who can't see her patching each other and themselves up and being shell-shocked that humans aren't the squishy pushovers they've been led to believe. It's a little pitiful. Ragnell soon chose to ditch the town to follow Zed out, and /that/ was a fun time until it abruptly wasn't, but now she's returned.

She *did* agree to help Riesenlied develop her spiritual senses, too, didn't she? Although that was mostly 'occasionally be within Riese's sight so she has a chance of seeing and hearing her' rather than actually doing anything, which suits Ragnell just fine because it's not her job to do this for Riese. As for whether she could or not--hell, if Zed can, why *not* Riese?

So currently she approaches behind Riese where she stands on one of the cliffs overlooking Old Petra, boots crunching on the ground beneath her feet. Riesenlied might or might not be able to hear it. She watches as those Pinions float, then turn into light. "Hmmm..." she murmurs. "How *do* you do that? The whole. Floaty-thing turnin' into light kinda thing."

Ragnell doesn't really expect an answer, but this is part of the agreement, after all. Besides, how will she know if Riese has made any progress if she doesn't talk at her for a while?

<Pose Tracker> Noeline has posed.

Having accompanied the commander thanks to a combination of curious interest and distinct worry that she'd never admit to publicly - not to mention the fact she's the bodyguard and it's technically her /job/ - Noeline waits nearby. Sat rather haphazardly with her legs dangling off the cliff, she's leant back on her arms, watching the other demon's attempts to find spirituality with a keen sort of attention. If she's cold from the breeze, she doesn't show it, though a couple of her ribbons are threating to unravel, and she has to fix them every so often.

"... do not try to force it too hard. If anything, I would call the sensation - the habit - an instinctive one. Tie it into your ability to read people," she suggests, her voice light but carrying a serious undertone. She needs no such practice, of course, 'blessed' with an aspect of a Guardian's power - and while her ability to sense the Seraphs isn't anywhere near fully-formed, it's certainly enough for her to pick out their presence in a relatively distinct manner.

As such, her head suddenly snaps up at Ragnell's statement. The motion is a little delayed, as if there's an inherent lag involved, but at least she can finally pin a meaning to the feeling that's been edging along the outer range of her senses. "... sense anything?" she asks of Riesenlied, her gaze trained on the rough space where Ragnell stands; she tilts her head in what is probably meant to be a greeting, but doesn't seem to want to break the other demon's concentration just yet.

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Riesenlied trembles just for a moment, as her wings furl inwards as the last of the particles disappate into the empty air and the stems of her Pinions reattach back onto her wingspan. She places both of her hands to her chest, jittering a little harder. "I felt... something shift in the air... it was very faint, but... tinged with a sense of curiousity?"

Her eyes open very gently. "I felt as if I could sense an emotion... ever so briefly."

She lowers her head and shakes her head, slowly settling onto her knees by Noeline's side, following the cant of her companion's head. "... is there... something there?"

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Ragnell has posed.

Ragnell's seen Noeline around, too. Although they've never spoken for various reasons, she *does* remember her from the Adlehyde Exhibition; she'd been with Zed and Odjn. Color her totally unsurprised that the 'Crimson Noble' is actually a Metal Demon putting on airs. Not that Ragnell disapproves, necessarily. The red-and-black ruffled dress suits her.

She does look at Noeline with curiosity when she gives Riese her advice, and even moreso when Noeline shoots Ragnell a look upon her speaking. A slow smile starts to uncurl on her lips, but she doesn't speak until Riesenlied answers.

"Sensing emotions... That's actually pretty good, for a beginner," she remarks. She locks eyes with Noel, or does so to the best of her ability when she's staring at someone who can only see her in blurry blob form. "What d'you think--Noeline, right?"

<Pose Tracker> Noeline has posed.

The realization that someone is actually there with them does change Noeline's stance just a little - it's difficult to pick out, but she carries herself that little bit more pridefully, her Crimson Noble impersonation in full display. "There is," she confirms for Riesenlied with the start of a lightly fanged grin. "I assume that must be the Seraph you mentioned - Ragnell, was it not? I suppose we can say that your training is bearing fruit," she adds with a pleased hum to the girl next to her, her fingers splayed at her lips as she grins back towards the drifting image of the figure.

A moment's concentration causes an ever-so-light flare of power - if Ragnell is the sort to feel it, Noeline just carefully touched a little of the Hades Guardian's medium in hopes of making her image of the Seraph a little clearer. "... well, really," she sighs as she touches at her forehead. "When it comes to emotions, Riesenlied is the one with the ability to empathize more than any in Old Petra. I may be a scholar when it comes to the subject, but I don't partake quite as often as I should."

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Riesenlied blinks just a few more times, tilting her head. "O-oh, she was here?" She glances around, following Noeline's sightline, furrowing her brow ever so slightly as her wings flex and furl inwards once more. "Hello, Miss Ragnell. I am afraid I cannot yet sense or listen to you, but I hope that your trip through the base has been insightful...?" A pause, as she looks towards Noeline with ever so fond a little smile. "This is Noeline... I imagine she would have much more capability to sense you out, as a Crimson Noble."

She places her hand to her cheek. "... ah, if you require anything -- I imagine you could tell Noeline, and I shall do my best to accomodate." Riese you're not running a hotel here

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Ragnell has posed.

At least, Ragnell *assumes* that Noeline is in reality a Metal Demon. Given that she hands out with Riese, Zed, and Odjn, apparently works for Riese, and has been hanging out at a Metal Demon Camp, that seems likelier and simpler to Ragnell to be the case than if a real, legendary Crimson Noble was just hanging out for funsies. But it *is* an assumption. Hell, she'd assumed Dezel was a young Seraph, or at least younger than she is. *That* sure turned out to be wrong.

"Yup, that's me," Ragnell tells Noeline, even if she's actually addressing Riesenlied. Being essentially a nature spirit, formed of magic, she *does* sense the use of magic within Noeline, which gets her a curious look. Huh. She'd been under the impression that Metal Demons didn't have magic. Then again, Siegfried had been able to see her fine. Maybe Noeline's of the same class he is?

"Funny skill for a Metal Demon to have," she observes. "'Specially when it comes to humans." She half-smiles at Riese, who introduces her properly--and then specifies that Noeline *is* a Crimson Noble. Ragnell blinks at that. Huh. Huh! Of course, Riese could be lying, but... what would be the point of that now? All the same, she wonders, half to Riese, half to Noeline, "Oh, so she actually is one? I completely thought you were a Metal Demon faking it." A beat. "My bad," she offers.

Does she require anything? "Nope. I just wandered by to see what you were up to. The camp's interestin' enough, I guess, but," Ragnell peers down the cliff at Old Petra, "I think you're much more interestin'."

<Pose Tracker> Noeline has posed.

There's a polite pause from the faker Crimson Noble in the wake of Riesenlied's greeting, but after a moment her brow starts to furrow; the way Riese speaks towards the open air, the unfocused look on her face... "... please hold on a moment," Noeline chips in as politely as she can towards the Seraph, given that her sense of curiosity threatens to overtake the rest of her thoughts - and then rounds on Riesenlied with a disbelieving huff. "How-- how /exactly/ did any of you learn that the Seraph had come to Old Petra in the first place?"

She sags immediately afterwards, letting out a long and put-upon sigh that is pretty obviously fake. "... you really do manage to surprise me at times... in any case, yes - Noeline Carver, at your service," she adds as her gaze shifts back towards Ragnell with another tilt of her head, her expression picking back up to an amused smile in the space of an instant. "And-- well. Riesenlied has always preferred to settle matters as fairly and as kindly as she can, rather than simply run over things. In that respect, I must say I'm glad for her rather unusual perspective."

"--ah, are you surprised?" she adds a moment later, her bright grin making the subject matter pretty clear; Riese has seen her make this sort of face before, the grin of someone who gets to play around with her vampire persona. "It would be an odd Metal Demon who could sense you, don't you think?" Lying by omission: still great. "Riese is a long-time friend of mine, after all, and I am her link to those people she's left behind in Adlehyde. Helping out around Old Petra seemed the natural thing to do."

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Riesenlied looks just a bit confused, tilting her head. "Ah, that was because K.K. introduced me to Miss Ragnell." Still with that 'Miss' habit! "It was they who pointed me the first keys to understanding how to sense them... to expel all external desire and thought... I wonder if there is such a sense within me? It feels as if it would defy what I was constructed to do, and yet I cannot deny that I felt the inklings of something just now..."

She glances to Noeline for a moment, lowering her head. "... we have been friends for a very long time, yes." The way she kind of leans naturally against her, especially in her still tender moments, is a bit telling, though.

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Ragnell has posed.

"If you were, you wouldn't be the first to be able to. Hell, you wouldn't even be the second," Ragnell tells Noeline, of Metal Demons being able to sense her. Perhaps frustratingly, she doesn't elucidate further on these matters, though in fairness Noeline *does* ask for a moment to translate and also to ask Riesenlied WTF. Meanwhile Riese continues to call her 'Miss' Ragnell, but Ragnell doesn't care enough to correct her again; if she wants to be polite, hey, she can knock herself out.

Besides which, there's something much, much more interesting here. Ragnell sees that lean, hears that fake put-upon sigh, and half-smiles. "'Friends,' hmmmmm," she drawls. "Well, well. Nice meetin' ya. And yeah--it's these differences that make the worlds go 'round."

She pauses, also, at Riese's mention of having been constructed. Then she goes on conversationally, "So is it true that Metal Demons don't reproduce through sex? What's up with this 'Mother' thing, then?"

<Pose Tracker> Noeline has posed.

"--really?" asks Noeline first and foremost towards the Seraph, so taken with curiosity that she manages to flub her translation immediately and leave Riese with too little in the way of details. If nothing else, that seems the way to lead the Crimson Noble best; her eyes have lit up as she grins brightly. "I wonder who it was... Zed? I would assume he would be one of them, the way he is. The other, hmm..."

She has trailed off into thought by the time the Seraph's next questions come along, one arm having slipped around Riesenlied's waist. The easy way in which she accepts the task of supporting the other demon makes her own feelings on the matter pretty clear - though to her credit her response to the rather abrupt questions is not a Riese-style panic so much as a sudden amazed and surprised cackle that comes out in a rush.

The colour on her cheeks surely does not go unnoticed, though she does try to bull through it. "Aah... --well, really, you are the expert when it comes to fostering understanding," she comments towards Riese, struggling to hold back a grin. "Have the Tainted ever worried about what they were constructed to do, rather than what they /could/ do if given the chance?"

She clears her throat, and tilts her head towards the 'empty' air with a huff. "--I very much /doubt/ most Metal Demons think about that. I should certainly hope that Riese doesn't, at the very least," Noeline adds, a spike of grump clear in her voice.

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Poor Riesenlied has to kind of fill in the blanks here! She blinks in that soft, innocent way of hers, tilting her head to one side. Why Noeline just burst into a cackle is a bit of a mystery, though she doesn't reject Noeline's arm around her waist at all. "W-what did Miss Ragnell ask? I certainly think about a great many things..." unwittingly walking blind into eggshells here.

"And... that's true. The Tainted do not worry about what their purpose is, for the first great hurdle to overcome is not that you can't do, but what you can still do... you are right..."

Her hand's reached for Noeline's for support at this point in time, squeezing it tighter.

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Ragnell has posed.

Oho, so Noeline doesn't know which Metal Demons can see Seraphim. That's interesting. "Why don't you ask Riese?" Ragnell suggests, smiling. "She'd know, wouldn't she?" And if she *doesn't*, that's definitely worth knowing, too. Goddess, though, these two are handsy with each other, aren't they? Ragnell sure doesn't disapprove... but her gaze goes distant for a moment. Not that either of them would notice.

But then she asks her next question, and Noeline cackles and insists on a rather ~pure~ answer, which gets Ragnell cackling right back, especially given Noeline's blushing and huffing afterwards. "Oh, I bet you /do/," she drawls, delight and mischief obvious in her tone. "That way you can teach her all the ins 'n' outs yourself, hmmm? But go ahead~ Answer Riese's question! After all, you're the translator here!"

As for the Tainted--hmmm. Ragnell doesn't think she's heard that term before. There's some obvious implications from the word itself... but rather than give Noeline an excuse to latch onto a different subject, she holds off on asking about it. For now.

<Pose Tracker> Noeline has posed.

One brief huff and glower later, and Noeline is an odd mix of signals - one part possessive and protective, even going to far as to tug Riese a little closer to her, another part mischievous and unable to hold back the amused little light in her eyes. "That-- what I think on the matter is neither here nor there, /obviously/," she grumbles as she tries her best to be prim about it, flicking out a twintail for dramatic effect.

She hesitates, just for a second, and then evidently steels herself - but her deadpan is too perfect for her not to be enjoying herself on some kind of level. "--the Seraph would like to know where you stand on sex, Riesenlied."

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Riesenlied jolts just a little more, as Noeline suddenly tugs her in; the warmth and flush on her cheeks are a little bit evident at this point, as she realises they're being a little close around a guest -- something she was just doing out of instinct, given how fragile she'd been last night.

"E-eh?" A pause, as her horns suddenly wiggle up and down in a fervour. "W-wh-- how did this topic even suddenly arise?! I-- goodness, Miss Ragnell, please, I implore you!" she stammers, stumbling on her words as she tries to get up in a bit of what they in the business call a right tizzy.

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Ragnell has posed.

"/Oooooobviously/," Ragnell drawls, the twinkle in her eyes like guidelights in the night. The fact that Noeline's torn between offended and amused herself just makes it better. However, she does gleefully see fit to point out, "Now that ain't *quite* what I asked, Lady Noeline! One might wonder if you want to know the answer to this differently-worded question for your own ends! An' I wonder what those ends might be~?"

This is especially so given that Riese is getting embarrassed by Noeline's possessiveness. Would it matter if she thought Ragnell wasn't there? Her right tizzy just sends Ragnell into another roar of laughter. "There, y'see? You're givin' her the wrong idea!" she says gleefully. "Or did you just want to hear her beg? I can't blame ya--" And here she takes a couple of strides over towards Noeline, grin wide and toothy as she leans her lips in towards her ear to purr, "She's *damn* adorable when she begs."

Riesenlied are you sure Seraph-sensing is a power you want to develop

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Riese whimpers with a right >_< face as she says, "M-Miss Ragnell, do not think I cannot feel your delight and glee! Goodness, but you are enjoying this a bit much, are you not?!"

<Pose Tracker> Noeline has posed.

Noeline does at least do her best to keep up her prideful composure, in spite of the assault upon it. Sounding out a light huff, she does not appear to intend to let Riesenlied go any time soon, her touch definitely trending towards the possessive as she flicks out her hair once more. "--and so what if I do?" she challenges, her face lit up in a pout. "My ends are supporting Riesenlied, in any way I can - we are /at least/ that close, and have been through more besides," she grumps. It's basically a confession, but as much as face might light up from it, her words are at least steady.

At the whisper, though - well, that's more than enough to send the Crimson Noble into a jealous sort of spike, her twintails practically spiking upwards out of their own power. "--how-- and just how on Filgaia would /you/ know /that/?!" she squawks indignantly, rounding on Riese. "Whatever did she do to you?!"

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Riesenlied looks between Noeline and empty air, whimpering just a little further as she-- bites her lip as she stares back at Noeline. "W-what? No, I-- I hope she's done-- is it just from the time the Trial Knight was here? Ohh, K.K. really did not kid when they said that I would rue that statement..." as she cups her hands to her face in embarrassment.

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Ragnell has posed.

A bit much? "/Never/," Ragnell retorts, grinning wide. Not that she expects that will be successfully translated over to her, all considered. Especially not after Noeline straight-up admits to twisting Ragnell's inquiries to her own benefit. Now generally speaking, she wouldn't mind this, particularly since it's a veritable /gold mine/ of material, but then Noeline practically spits with jealousy while Riesenlied is left more and more confused and discomfited.

Ragnell roars with laughter, slapping one knee. "Goddess almighty, Noeline, are you for real?" she crows. Lilting her tone up to imitate Riesenlied, she simpers, "'Goodness, Miss Ragnell, please, I implore you!' She LITERALLY begged me JUST NOW! Girl, you are /out of control/! Which, ha, means I gotta give you a word of warning--"

And all of a sudden, all of the mirth is gone from her face and her temperament. It'll be a striking difference to Riesenlied: Ragnell isn't angry, she isn't upset, but all of a sudden that glee just stops cold, leaving behind only a grim, steely resolution. Her red eyes narrow, and storms prowl across her face, as she murmurs, "If you get *too* clingy, you'll end up weighing her down. Is that really what you want, Noeline Carver? To be a burden too infatuated with her to let her do what she must? To do for her what she needs done?" She takes a step backwards then, a large one, enough to give the two their space. "If you can't avoid that," Ragnell concludes, wind howling in the canyons below, "then you're not worthy to stand by her side."

Several heartbeats pass. Then, with a calm that calls to mind the eye of a storm, she adds, "Now are you going to translate what I *actually* asked, or not?"

One might start to realize why the Trial Knight considers this capricious Seraph their companion.

<Pose Tracker> Noeline has posed.

For a moment, the fake-vampire almost misses the change in tone; it isn't that she's legitimately upset, so much as too busy pouting and grumping to really pay attention to the words at the first pass. She even opens her mouth as if to immediately retort - but then her mind actually catches up with her, relaying the words, and whatever she was about to say slowly dies in her throat.

It takes her a long and uncertain moment, and then she flicks out her hair once more, though this time in a slower and gentler motion as she straightens her back. "... if you knew anything about Riesenlied at all, you would know that no burden in this world would stop her from doing what she feels she must," is how she finally decides to lead off. "Whether for the sake of the Tainted, or the sake of her race as a whole, it does not matter. That leadership is what has brought her to this point, and earned her my respect."

A pause, and then she lets out another aggrieved sort of sigh. "And I am quite aware of the pain I might bring her in the end - quite aware of the possibilities and uncertainties around this whole situation, whichever angle you look at it from. Should I ever become too much of a burden, I will do whatever needs doing," she adds, her voice steel and her words reverberating with her promises of the previous day. "But until then - and especially now - there is time to rest."

She holds the moment-- and then lets it go all of a sudden, tilting her head. "... ah... the question came from a discussion around Mother, it seems. If there is no reproduction, why call her Mother - that is the thrust of it. I suppose I've always chalked it up to a mark of fealty and respect." She looks back to the Seraph, the previous talk not forgotten but certainly filed away. "After all, you have your Shepherd, don't you?"

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

If there is one thing Riesenlied doesn't miss, though, it's a change in emotion, and the way her expression kind of dies down at the shift rather indicates that she picked it up in the air. She looks towards Noeline as she speaks, biting at her lip and looking just a little heartened at Noeline's vouch of words.

She laces her hands together, looking that slight bit more fragile at the mention of Mother. "... Mother is a term not unlike how the Nissan Sect have their Holy Mother, I suppose. She is the Holy Mother, a saviour who brought us from our world far beyond the stars at our bleakest moment, to bring us to the promised land... until she was struck down a thousand years ago, during the war that our ancestors fought with the Guardians and humans for a reason that is still not yet clear to me."

She slides a lock of golden hair back, looking ever more pained. "... we still bear the scars of that war today, both in the world, and in the sentiments of those most long-lived." She looks towards Ragnell -- for a moment, it's as if she could home in on that expression of hers.

"You have heard what I espoused to the Trial Knight. I shall not back down from my convictions... and it is not alone that I will do so. Noeline understands me, more deeply and closely than any other, and I place all of my trust in her, explicitly..."

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Ragnell has posed.

Whether Noeline was upset or not, there are certain parallels Ragnell sees in her and Riesenlied--immediately obvious ones, though one might also blame projection for that. That's why she doesn't cut into Noeline's answer with snark or sarcasm; she gives her time to respond wholly and completely. A good thing, because there's a lot Ragnell would otherwise have to say about burdens to those with conviction. She hears the steel, and she nods.

"Good," is the sum of her reply. But there's a hint of approval in her tone.

When Riesenlied takes *her* time to respond, Ragnell glances over at her, slipping her thumbs to hook into the pockets of her jeans. "The 'one true goddess,' right?" she says, recalling what Siegfried had said during the battle on Adlehyde Castle. She'd been too busy at the time to think on it deeply, but it comes back to her now, bubbling up like trapped air from the bottom of a swamp. "I see. Makes sense. I was wonderin'. I'd like to hear about that war sometime, too; seems like it's got just about everythin' to do with the way things are now. But--" She shrugs. "Maybe a little later, huh?" She looks back at Noeline. "Anyway, the Shepherd's somethin' else entirely. From the sound of it, this Mother is more like the Dragonmaster or maybe even the Goddess Althena, in terms o' how she's seen by those who revere her."

Not she alone who will do so. For the moment when it seems like Riesenlied could lock eyes with the Seraph, Ragnell holds her gaze. All her trust in her, explicitly... She raises a hand to the brim of her hand and pulls it down just enough to shadow her eyes as she half-smiles. "...I see.

"Good. It's good t' have someone you can trust at your side an' to have your back."

She pauses, then pushes up her hat to look at Noeline again. "As for you--believe me, I understand completely wantin' to see the look on her face when you tease her. And jus' so you know, I ain't gonna try to get in between you, not for real. Any messin' around I do is just that: messin' around. I'm not serious at all." She chuckles and shrugs. "So don't let yourself get too carried away, a'ight?"

<Pose Tracker> Noeline has posed.

"... you know... I have to admit that I had your kind pegged as creatures that were more like the Guardians than anything else," Noeline admits first and foremost, her brow rather furrowed; the odd moment of tension is gone but not forgotten, something to chew over later. "... I suppose that initial impression was considerably off, in the end - as such, I apologize."

Whatever else is the case, the diplomatic moment seems to cool the Crimson Noble off. Her pride seems a little dented, given the way she grumbles softly under her breath, but she shrugs it away as if she were just a particularly tall cat - and preens to match. "... of course," she allows with a nod of her head, doing her best to be gracious about it. "I apologize for that, as well. As you can imagine, it has been rather a busy and stressful week attempting to get Old Petra up and stable - and the whole situation has left everyone on a bit of a knife-edge."

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

And in the end, Riesenlied is a sweet girl if nothing else, lacing her hands together with a warmer smile as Noeline also makes her apologies known. With the airs considerably feeling more cleared up, she dares venture a guess towards where she thinks Ragnell is again, saying, "I can speak more about Mother if you'd like... it seems that you are curious about her. But, ah--"

There's a loud rumble from her stomach.

"--... I feel like I can't remember the last time I ate... should we have something to eat and drink while we do so?" Riese you did kinda just throw yourself into work and forget about eating again

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Ragnell has posed.

"Hey, don't even worry 'bout it," Ragnell replies, casual and carefree as you please. It's like that sudden serious moment never happened, a squall that blew out as abruptly as it blew in. "When I first heard about the Guardians, I thought they sounded pretty similar to us Seraphim too. You got nothin' to 'pologize for--but hey, if you're *really* sorry, tell me more 'bout you Crimson Nobles. Never heard of y'all before I came to Filgaia. Dead interesting stuff." Har har.

A chuckle follows when Noeline addresses the *other* matter. "That's an excuse, but I'll take it. Y'all *did* just come back from a war. Apology accepted." ...So there *was* something worth apologizing for there?

A glance over to Riesenlied. "I definitely wanna hear more about Mother, an' the Guardians, and how y'all got to this point," she says, gesturing towards the camp below. "But hey, I could definitely go for somethin' to eat first, too. What's good 'round here, anyway?" What to Metal Demons even eat? What to Crimson Nobles eat, for that matter? Ragnell's pretty sure she's heard something about blood, but is that really *it*? Either way, she's keen to know.
