  • Summary: Rose and Alisha invite Layna over to help her interact with a Seraph for the first time. Mirielle volunteers, and is in prime spooky form.

======================<* November City - Hotel Renais *>======================

Hotel Renais is one of the largest hotels in November City. It is not the most posh, though. It is dedicated to moving a lot of business, and welcomes Drifters as a rule. The inside of the lobby looks nice enough, with wood paneling and gilded decor. The chairs and couches are plentiful. However, a dozen armed men patrol and keep a close watch to discourage barfights.

The rooms are spacious and welcoming, and enjoy luxuries only dreamed of in other parts of Ignas. Hot water and baths can give someone everything they need to have a little time to themselves, and some rooms even have small refrigerators.

<Pose Tracker> Rose has posed.

The invitation to come to Rose's room at Hotel Renais had arrived a little bit last minute, but clearly mentioned that she hadn't forgotten what she offered Layna, and that Alisha would be along. Mirielle had received one too, via Memory Cube memo, as she had been present for the adventure that prompted the offer... and they kinda needed a Seraph for this to mean anything.

Sure, there's Dezel, but he's grumpy and probably busy.
And oddly everyone else was out of touch.

There's no need to announce oneself, seeing as how Rose has left the door to her room wide open and even has cake on the table. It smells amazing and provides further reason to enter the room.

Alisha was called in early because Rose realizes a critical problem, which she confers with her about: "Soooooo... how are we going to do this anyway? I might have forgotten to ask Sorey how he did it besides the whole... hand-holding thing. It has to take more than hand-holding to share your Resonance with someone, right?" Well it's not Resonance sharing exactly but Rose wouldn't know that.

<Pose Tracker> Alisha Diphda has posed.

Alisha is already here -- not that she would turn Rose down. Her hand is at her chin as she listens to the question that Rose poses, and then her head tilts to the side. "Ah--well," she says, "I believe it was a way for Sorey to share his Resonance. But I wasn't sure what the mechanism in question was."

She looks up at Rose, then, and her face breaks out into a smile. "As such, I think it would be best to simply--well--try holding hands, first. If that fails, then..."

Then, they could see what other means they could try. Meditation, she wonders?

She leans back against the wall. The princess is in her white-and-pink uniform, but the plate armor and the tabard is off, leaving her in something less heavy.

<Pose Tracker> Layna Manydays has posed.

Layna had been keeping an eye on things, just in case. She hadn't forgotten that offer, either, and was a bit eager to see what it entailed. She seemed to have been running into a lot of Seraphim lately, though she doesn't immediately realize that it had been one of the same ones both times.

She's...actually dressed fairly casually today, rather than looking exactly like a pirate straight out of a storybook as he usually does. Even her hat wasn't currently present! It was for Rose's sake more than her own, really - she didn't want to get the merchant any more strange looks than she probably already got.

...It doesn't help that there are posters about here and there, mentioning that she's wanted for some light questioning. That was one of the perks of having a rather noticeable outfit!

She pauses outside the door, a hand resting on the frame as she peeks into the room. Something smelled delicious, and looking inside... Well then.

"Well, well, you sure go all out, don't you, lass?" Layna comments with a grin, strolling in. "Got your message."

She glances around the room, then and her eyes fall on Alisha. She offers the princess a grin and a light, casual wave.

Layna doesn't weigh in on the current subject, though. It's not like she'd know anything about how this works!

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Mirielle has posed.

Well, friends, when you want to contact the OTHER PLANE and speak to ghosts, there's really only one way to do it. A good old fashioned <s>seance</s>resonance sharing!

Which involves... Something? Probably going back to the save point and spamming your way through little mini cutscenes, including all your backlog you didn't really want to watch. Surely, there was SOME method of it! In terms of picking a Seraph to show up, though, maybe Rose should have placed a little more thought in her choice.

Mirielle was there, definitely, and her 'spiritual signature' lingered - nay, loomed - over the proceedings. But she wasn't there-there, lounging around. Clearly, Rose remembers her coming in, being spiritually attuned, but for some reason had 'lost' the Seraph in her hotel room.

The wind whistled and softly whipped past the window outside, though when everyone got here the weather was just fine and totally average. Each door and partition creaked agonizingly when operated, and the floor creaked something fierce...

Even when nobody was stepping on it, like someone hidden was padding around.

        You know, totally normal hauntings.

And then, a hand on Rose's shoulder, and a hushed 'Hey!'

"Are these them?" Mirielle wonders, from behind Rose, reaching forward to wick a bit of the cake icing onto her finger and pop it into her mouth. "Did you get the mirror, like I asked? It's important!"

<Pose Tracker> Rose has posed.

"Good as any place to start, yeah," Rose answers Alisha, just in time for Launa to arrive. The pirate is dressed casually - well, Rose is too, but then again she almost always is. If you can consider those five or six layers casual at all.

"Always!" she responds, because if there's one thing Rose can do it's go all-out constantly. This includes going all-out when she's being spooked. Which, courtesy of Mirielle being even better at hiding than the usual Seraph, thanks to her affinity, was bound to happen.

he hand touches her shoulder and she suddenly whirls about and practically trips on her own feet. "GAH!!" is all that needs to be said, considering. Rose points, accusingly, at the spoopy ghost.

"Don't do that! WHY is every Seraph in my life enjoying doing that?!" She isn't angry, she's comically miserable. It's not the same thing.

"This is the most thankless job every, I swear." A sigh, and she shakes herself back into shape. "Wait, why do we need a mirror? We can just... well, I THINK we can just let her see you. We've never... tried it, but how hard can it be for two Squires?" Possibly very, in retrospect.

<Pose Tracker> Alisha Diphda has posed.

Alisha jumps, a little, too when Mirielle appears like that -- and she wasn't the one that Mirielle snuck up on. (Leaning back against the wall helps with that.) She backs up with a soft yelp, and then she shakes her head, before she looks at Mirielle. She sighs. "Well... there is a mirror in the bathroom, at least," she says.

Then, she looks at Layna, and smiles once to her. She nods to the pirate captain -- who isn't dressed as such right now. "I do not know if this will work," she warns her. "For Sorey, it was easy, but we are not the Shepherd."

But, she had grown much stronger. Would it be easier? She can't say for certain. Rose had a lot more Resonance than her, for some reason. Alisha had diligence on her side, but that could only go so far.

She looks to Rose. "Should we go ahead? Or do we need that mirror first?"

<Pose Tracker> Layna Manydays has posed.

There's definitely something a little strange about the environment in the room when Layna walks in. Like something creeping at the edge of her mind, that shouldn't quite place... It wasn't significant enough for her to dwell on, but the feeling was there. The reason why becomes clear when Rose kind of suddenly freaks out at something...apparently Seraph-related.

Layna can't help but chuckle a bit.

"Think I've got a good idea already, lass..." She comments. If she was a Seraph, she'd probably do it all the time if that's how Rose always reacted.

Wait, a mirror...? She didn't hear anything about a mirror...she had to assume the Seraph was asking for one.

"No harm in trying, aye? I've got all night, we can try as many things as we need." Layna comments with a shrug. "Just let me know what you need me to do!"

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Mirielle has posed.

Mirielle just sort of stepped out from behind Rose with a tiny mischevious grin. She was, in fact, in her element here.

"Oh, the mirror is a backup, but also a focus, you see! Seraphs can appear to people in mirrors and other reflections if we focus on it. It's a useful shortcut. Unless you'd like to draw up a board of letters and a pointer for me? Also, really, I could breathe on the mirror..." The seraph pantomimes bringing a small plate to her mouth, and exhaling loudly. "And then scribble on it! It's a good trick. You know, writing things like 'Althena is disappointed in you' and little happy faces and random and less-than-random lengths of time to get humans all worked up into a lather of belief and drive!"

Mirielle is EXACTLY the type to scrawl 'FIVE DAYS' into a mirror in front of someone, it seems.

"Well, Rose, I think it's an important part of the experience. If I just showed up normally, people could take it normally. I have to be extra Seraphic tonight - you understand, yes?"

She throws a hand out, a 'sheet' of darkness like cloth snapping into magical reality before she sweeps it around her shoulders. "Alright. I'll be extra leaky, to try and help out. Sorry in advance..." She murmurs, settling in by the table and sort of staring at Layna. "Whenever everyone's ready, OK?"

<Pose Tracker> Rose has posed.

"Huh, really? I didn't know about that. Neat! ... and very creepy," Rose answers Mirielle, before she actually goes towards the desk and retrieves a hand mirror from a drawer. She does have one (or five, really) around for various purposes, one being to cut her hair every once in a while. She puts it on the table, and instructs Layna to sit in front of it.

"I don't think you'll have to do anything, it's all on us! ... try not to freak out and please don't hit me if you do," she then answers the pirate, before moving to her left. She motions for Alisha to join her on the right.

"You just have to hold our hands. If that doesn't work we'll... try to trace back how this is supposed to work." Lucky them, Alisha might remember that Sorey had to close his eyes and hold his breath at first, so she could relay the useful tip if they can't manage it as-is!

"... no but really, don't hit me if you freak out."
She feels the need to repeat herself.
        Thanks, Mirielle.

<Pose Tracker> Alisha Diphda has posed.

"Oh--that... rather makes sense," Alisha says, with a glance in Mirielle's direction. A focus to help would fit all the stories she heard, too, of ghosts appearing in mirrors or around objects. (That is may be a ploy to try to be spookier, really, is lost on Alisha. The princess doesn't quite have the guile to understand that.)

She nods, then looks to Rose. She holds a hand out for her to take, as she steps into position on Rose's right. Then, she holds her other hand out for Layna.

"Rose, if this doesn't work at first, we may need to cut our sensory input at first--ah, try closing your eyes. Then, if that fails, hold your breath," the princess says. "Sorey had to the first time. But, I think, once we can, it will get that much easier."

She hopes.

<Pose Tracker> Layna Manydays has posed.

With a nod toward Rose, Layna moves to sit in front of the mirror as indicated. She's a tad concerned that it was apparently 'very creepy'...but hey, she's a battle-hardened pirate. How bad could it be, really?

"Now why would I do that, lass?" Layna asks with a chuckle. What kind of person would hit someone just for showing them something new and interesting. They'd have to be pretty awful.

Certainly no one present in the room would do that.

"Alright. Let's do this, aye?" She says, then reaches her hands out to take Rose and Alisha's. She's not exactly sure what she's about to experience, but it was a little exciting! Though she did wonder exactly how they figured this out...this seemed pretty involved!

Hopefully they wouldn't have to go as far as holding their breath.

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Mirielle has posed.

Mirielle nods happily to Alicia, beaming as her long white hair falls around her shoulders. Her cloak even grows some small shadow-skeleton hands, which clap - a rattling, altogether clacking sound. "Exactly! It's important for Seraphs to be able to reveal themselves to people, a key skill for anyone. Now, let's see..."

Mirielle hops to her feet, looking around. Her cloak's skelly-hands disappear into smoke as she moves sharply. "Lightbulbs, lightbulbs... Ah! I learned how to snuff these awful things out by watching others!" She announces, before flicking the lights off decisively. The room plunges into MILD DARKNESS!!!

"There. Isn't that better? And it'll help you focus, I bet, too!"

The Seraph moves back to her seat at the table, sitting down crosslegged, her 'cloak' having disappeared (or melded) into the ambient darkness. "Ok. Ok! Yes, this is good. You all hold hands and I'lllllll..."

Mirielle then takes the hand mirror, removes it from the table, and scooches up to sit on top of it, loom-facing Layna and grinning down at her.

This looks goofy to Alisha and Rose, probably, but...

Shadows are all about the context. A treebranch can become a clawing hand, depending on the angle.

<Pose Tracker> Rose has posed.

.o(This is going to be a disaster.)o. Rose thinks to herself.
Or perhaps, communicates discretely into Alisha's mind via SHEPHERD MIND POWERS. Which may mean Sorey and the others, wherever they may be, hear a completely contextless line that isn't ominous in the slightest. Or they're out of range. Probably the latter.

Rose takes Layna's hand with one hand, and Alisha's with the other, so that the three of them form a nice, closed loop. She's not sure it matters but it can't hurt. She also takes Alisha's advice by closing her eyes to start, and immediatly skips a step to hold her breath right away.

We may be about to find out how long she can do that.

With enough focus, could Layna finally start seeing the vague outline that is Mirielle? ... more than likely she's about to see what Mirielle wants her to, and that might be worse.

<Pose Tracker> Alisha Diphda has posed.

Alisha takes both of their hands in turns. Then, her eyes shift to the Seraph -- and she jumps at the skeleton hands that her cloak made. How--how did she do that!? She knows the answer (it's magic), but it still leaves her feeling shocked. She stumbles, but she keeps herself upright, and lets Mirielle provide some instruction.

Even if she has her doubts.

She sends a thought back to Rose: <We can see how this goes... maybe everything will be fine?> But, she focuses -- and then she closes her eyes. After a moment, she holds her breath, too.

She squeezes them shut.

The outline begins to sharpen for Layna. Perhaps... literally.

<Pose Tracker> Layna Manydays has posed.

Suddenly, the lightswitch is flipped, darkening the room. Layna focuses on the mirror, and as Alisha and Rose close their eyes and hold their breath, something begins to take form...

She can see the outline of a vaguely humanoid form, and in the mirror, a grinning face behind her...

Now, Layna isn't the type that doesn't scare easy, but it does happen when things happen suddenly. When she's surprised, she has a tendency to get...punch-y. This is a little difficult with her hands held in Rose and Alisha's, though, so when the shadows almost seem to grow and reach out to her she kind of jerks backward out of her seat with a bit of a 'whoa'.

This may have the side-effect of accidentally bringing Rose and Alisha backwards with her.

"Wh-whoa, uh...sorry about that. That was...a little intense, aye?" She says with a normal chuckle.

"...Let's try that again?" She says, picking herself up off the ground.

"I saw something...just wasn't quite ready for it..."

It's okay, Layna, it happens to everyone.

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Mirielle has posed.

Mirielle gets her loom on, strategically placing the mirror in the way of selfie-taking spoopy ghost girls so that Layna gets a wonderful view of her! Potentially!

Her reflection is wavering normally, ephemeral and wispy, but thanks to the boosting presence of two squires, and her own focus on 'being extra visible', her reflection is there!

The unfortunate part is that she's extra spooky, and layering it on both passively and actively to boost her own visibility.

        And then she's seen aaaaaaand--

Mirielle fistpumps to herself, before realizing. "Oh, maybe... Maybe a little bit less?" Rose has her eyes all screwed up and Alisha is jumping at her sight. "Ok. Ok, I understand - it's my fault. I'll just..."

Mirielle shifts to in front of Layna, placing one hand lightly on both her shoulders, and gently rests her forehead against the pirate's. This is much more gentle! It's like a spiritual hug! Except hugging would be awkward with her hands tied up hanging on to two other people.

"I'm right here. Just listen for me. Search for me. I've always been here - we've always been here. Just beyond the corner of your eyes, or the limits of your ears."

The spooky scratchings, the creaking floors, the whistling of the wind, it all falls away, leaving a serene silence like that just before drifting off to sleep.

Rose should appreciate the different tack, at least.

<Pose Tracker> Rose has posed.

Possibly due to being tense, holding her breath and having her eyes closed, it's extremely easy for Layna to yank Rose back (definitely easier than yanking Alisha, anyway), which results in a tumble and a crash. This might also break the mood, and Rose whines a bit.

"This is fair. I deserve this," she says from her position on the floor, defeated, before rising again to reconnect their hands and try again. This time she'll mind her feet better!

Rose does, with that being said, highly appreciate the sudden shift in tone as Mirielle takes the matter a bit more seriously and makes the experience less spoopy. She can't vocalize that right now due to holding her breath, but it's definitely a fact.

<Pose Tracker> Alisha Diphda has posed.

Alisha stumbles. But, the princess has good footing -- and good reflexes -- so she doesn't just tumble, flat, onto her face. She does suck a breath in, before she decides to open her eyes and breathe again. She looks relieved, at first, except that she yelps a little at the way that Mirielle is suddenly there. And the way that she makes the floors squeak and shake under her feet.

The princess gasps, once, before she looks back at Mirelle. And, then, the spookiness all drifts away -- melting into the serenity that she, as one of Althena's faithful, came to expect of the Seraphim.

"Ah..." She smiles. "...Thank you, Miss Mirielle." She looks to Rose, then, and connects her hands to Rose's and Layna's. She takes a deep breath and--

--squeezes her eyes shut. As much as she wants to crack one open.

<Pose Tracker> Layna Manydays has posed.

Layna takes a moment to straighten herself out before getting back into position again, though she does flash Rose an apologetic smile before grabbing onto her hand again. Fortunately, Alisha was stable enough to not fall over like the two of them did. Somehow Layna would've felt worse about that.

The second attempt goes...so much better. She can feel a slight pressure against her forehead and on her shoulders. It's not an uncomfortable pressure. It was as if there was someone there, right in front of her. It was almost comforting, in a way.

The ambient sounds that had been occuring to this point fade away, leaving nothing but the Seraph's voice - faint at first, but Layna closes her eyes and focuses, and then she can hear it quite clearly.

Layna cracks a smile.

"...You're Seraph Mirielle, aye? Nice to finally meet you." She replies. "I had a feeling you guys were around...I just never thought I'd meet one, myself."

She chuckles slightly.

"It's funny...guess I just wasn't paying close enough attention, aye...? Was that you, at that town last night?"

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Mirielle has posed.

Great success! Excellent value! Total victory!

Mirielle pulls back, nodding. "Yes! That's me. Sorry for the, uhm... Extra-spooky stuff in town? It was the first thing that came to mind. I'm glad you're ok."

Mirielle moves to take a seat at the table, gettin some cake. "There's a lot of ways to come at Darkness - I suppose it was just trying to find the right way. Miss Rose, you can probably stop holding your breath."

Mirielle goes about munching on cake with small bites. "Just remember how you feel when you listen, when you see! Then you'll see a lot of neat things. And remember, it's not about what it is... but how you think about it, OK?"

Munch munch munch cake. "Big success, right you two?" She asks Alicia and Rose.

<Pose Tracker> Rose has posed.

"I can?" Rose complies. She keeps her eyes closed, just in case.

"Can you still see her?" The answer is probably yes, luckily, though all bets are off if Rose lsoes focus or lets go of Layna. Most likely the same is true of Alisha.

"This FEELS weird, it's like the opposite of when we pacted with Sorey. I don't mean it feels bad, it's just... giving power, instead of receiving it?" Best words she could find. "Well, I think... I THINK as long as you keep an open mind you should be able to develop the Resonance needed to see Seraphim on your own, over time. I don't really know how it works, but both the princess and I started seeing them better and better as time passed." Being stabbed kinda helped, but that goes unsaid. Thank you, Trial Knight!

"And no, other Seraphim aren't... MORE normal. Mirielle has to be the spookiest one I've met so far but believe me they all have some... unique quirks." Rose makes a face.

It might be the Excalibur Face.

<Pose Tracker> Alisha Diphda has posed.

Alisha, when Mirielle says that Rose doesn't need to hold her breath, stops. She takes a deep one, before she opens her eyes too. She smiles, a little, and then looks sideways at the Seraph. "That does make sense. It sounds like you have had some experience with this before, Mirielle?"

She smiles at her. It is, she thinks, a great success. She looks sideways at Rose, then. Her head tilts. "Mm, yes. I think it is different--in that case, it was something more serious. An oath. Here, we are lending part of our power."

She glances at Layna. "Temporarily, though. As you get accustomed to it, you will learn to see and hear them without trouble. It took me time, but..."

She nods. Though, she smiles a little wistfully. "Ah, but it was sort of fun--when I could only hear them."

<Pose Tracker> Layna Manydays has posed.

"Aye, it's fine. Worked well enough, didn't it? We couldn't've done it without you." Layna replies with a grin. It certainly spooked that Metal Demon well enough! She listens as Mirielle continues to speak, and nods. She just had to...keep listening. Keep an eye and ear out for the Seraphim. Easy enough, especially now that she'd made contact with one.

"It's...faint, but aye." Layna agrees with a nod and a glance toward Rose. She chuckles, then, as she mentions that all of them had their own unique things to them.

"In a way, I'm relieved to hear that. Makes them seem a little more...human to me, so to speak." She comments.

She nods toward Alisha, then.

"Aye, makes sense. That's well enough, I wouldn't want to have to rely on someone else all the time!" She says, and then chuckles again.

"It is an unusual experience. I can see why you might miss it."

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Mirielle has posed.

Mirielle shrugs at Rose's wondrance if the Seraph is still visible. If she can't be seen, at least, the breakthrough was there. "It's fine either way, isn't it? I didn't know the Shepherd could spread the pact around, actually - But I don't think I've ever met a Shepherd. I suppose it was never my purpose to be guided to one. The shepherd weilds a purifying flame - isn't it appropriate for such a light to have no need of Darkness?"

She gives a wistful smile. "We're all quite normal! For Seraphim, at least. It's important to remember you speak not just to a person..." She raises a finger. "But also to the element they embody. So, of course I am spooky - and I am sure that those of fire are both warm and comforting, and at times or when incensed, intense?"

Mirielle laughs at Rose's stank face. "I'm not that bad!"

Alicia says something that draws Mirielle's attention more directly. "Well, that's the normal way of things, a divine plan from Althena herself. Perhaps it was to create a... symbiosis, between the faithful and the faith. Belief is powerful, while fact can be take for granted."

The idea that seeing the Seraphim makes them more human gets a flash of a frown, which is smoothed over quickly. "Well, I suppose! I don't think many would appreciate the comparison, but I don't think it's untrue. But... I think it's also natural to rely on others, for humans? Huddling together in mutual trust is one of your greatest strengths. Pushing back the unknown, and standing strong together to find the truth within the dark, while a single person would flee... I wouldn't think that needing others is a flaw. Althena blessed you as you were."

<Pose Tracker> Rose has posed.

"I don't see the Shepherd as light. I think purification is something different from it. It's the counter to Malevolence, not to darkness. I'm... pretty familiar with darkness, you might say! Ahah~" But she leaves it as that, because she thinks far too many people know her second occupation already. 'Not all that bad' though? For that Rose has to answer Layna.

"Human. Sure," Rose says, incredulous. "I'd believe it if they stopped disappearing and reappearing all the time. Did you know they can GO INSIDE PEOPLE?!" She adds, seemingly agitated at the prospect.

A sudden, tiny wisp of green light leaves Rose's body and floats to her side. In a woosh of wind and green light, from feet to head, Dezel materializes with his arms crossed, looking grump. "No, that's just because you're a Squire. Don't make us sound like weirdos."
You can guess that Rose has already let go of Layna and Alisha to take some steps back and get screechy. "HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THERE?!"

Dezel shrugs. His curtains of hair prevent his expression from being seen. They do not, however, stop Rose from leaping behind him in a sudden burst of agility and lock an arm around his neck. She proceeds to drag him out of the room. "WE'RE GOING TO HAVE SOME WORDS, MISTER!" Chipperly, to the group: "I'll be right back, I just need to take out the trash~"

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Mirielle has posed.

"It's true. But it's also true that I can conjure skeletons - and there's one inside you right now!!!" Mirielle notes with wigglefingers. Mysterious wigglefingers.

        Ominous wigglefingers.

"A skeleton, that is." She clarifies.

<Pose Tracker> Alisha Diphda has posed.

Alisha glances in Rose's direction, at the mention of darkness not being all bad -- but nods. She looks at Mirielle, then, and blinks a couple of times. "Mm, that would make sense. But... I think Rose is right, too. I don't think of Malevolence as darkness--after all, it can be like fire and ice at once. It could be... ah, it could be a lot of things."

She glances at Layna, too, then--and she nods. "I felt the same. Oh, but... I may have to leave you all be for the moment. I do need to tend to a few things. I am glad that we could help! And, thank you for your assistance, Mirielle."

She nods, a slight bow, before she starts for the door. "Rose, Dezel, try to not get into too much trouble!" She cuts Dezel a look. "And maybe let her know, in the future. And--"

She gives Mirielle a confused look. Then, she sighs and waves, before she is through the door.

<Pose Tracker> Layna Manydays has posed.

"Oh, I think you're misunderstanding me! I meant just for this specifically." Layna replies with a slight chuckle.

"I'm a Captain, after all, and I'd be nothing without my crew. I need them just as much as they need me. My ship'd be nothing without all of us working together. Humankind's the same thing, aye?" She comments with a chuckle. "So, I know what you're talking about."

She glances toward Rose, then...when all of a sudden, someone emerges from her. Another Seraph, apparently. She can't see him properly either, but she can certainly see Rose's reaction, and it gets a laugh out of her.

Still chuckling, Layna sends Alisha a wave as she hurries off after Rose and Dezel, then looks back to Mirielle.

"Guess I should get going myself, Seraph Mirielle. But I look forward to working with you again in the future, aye? I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of spooky things you'll think up next." She comments with a grin, and stands from her seat.

...Apparently, Layna was the type of person who enjoyed getting scared. She offers her a wave, then turns to leave as well.
