DESCRIPTION:	Response to an emergency request filed through the Smith & Luio Agency by one 'Sofie Anning' led me to Little Twister, where I engaged the Quarter Knight Berserk with the assistance of several drifters.
PRE-EVENT SUMMARY:	The Smith & Luio Agency forward an urgent request from a Baskar woman named Sofie Anning, who claimed she was being pursued by metal demons and hiding out in the frontier town of Little Twister. As the closest agent in the field I dispatched immediately to investigate the integrity of the claim.
EVENT SUMMARY:	Upon arrival in Little Twister, made immediate contact with Anning and noted her to be in possession of a 'sealing rod' the like of which has been used by drifters in past operations to ensure guardian statues are protected from further damage (phenomenon still under research by R&D). Shortly after contact, the Quarter Knight Berserk landed in the town square and was engaged by myself, Gwen Whitlock, an Etone (name unknown), and unknown drifter (name unknown). The presence of Whitlock and others is considered coincidental at this time, but Berserk's focus on Anning was clearly with the intention of recovering her rod. It proved difficult to contest the Quarter Knight in a sustained engagement without an appropriate complement of Gebler-trained personnel. Sealing rod came into Berserk's possession after dispatching Anning (Status: Alive, whereabouts unknown). A combined effort was unable to incapacitate Berserk or retrieve the rod before he fled the scene. He also appeared to recognize my use of ether and effectively adopted counter-ether tactics, suggesting he has fought Solarian forces in the past.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:	The fact that the metal demons have acquired a sealing rod suggests that they could potentially develop a counter against the current practice of sealing statues, potentially compromising not only future statues but current ones as well. We should consider additional methods to secure and protect the statues from harm in keeping with orders from high command.
