<Pose Tracker> Seraph Lanval has posed.

Though there were a few close calls, and the return trip from the location was a fair bit annoying, the Fox Company (plus their friend, Lemina) return triumphant from the Flooded Cavern. The first order of business... well, there's a lot of ordered business, in an informal order. Let's just go to the most fun one.
The nth order of business is resting and relaxing somewhere about Meribia early in the evening, some decent cafe out in the parts of Merchant's Row, to the soothing sounds of the sea in the distance that are drowned out by the merchants who still yet have energy to spare at this hour in securing business and silver coins.
What is not an itemized order of business is having Lanval pass out underneath a table in a growing pool of pure water, which is sort of a thing that happens with worrying frequency just about anywhere. The way he's snoring, he's sure sounding pleased with himself.
Or maybe just lacking the appropriate amount of shame, all the same.

<Pose Tracker> Talise Gianfair has posed.

Talise didn't sleep all that much overnight. When the sun had come up, she'd gone out into the city to do a little shopping.

She didn't find what she was looking for, of course. Nobody in Meribia sells musical equipment anymore. That's illegal now. Replacing her lute would be impossible.

She couldn't even apologize to Uncle Piet. No ships are going to Dalton, and he's certainly not here.

Sitting in a place like this without music puts Talise on edge - especially after what happened last night - but she does her best to bury it and try to look inconspicuous. Her armour's been packed up in favour of her red tunic and cream-coloured slacks, and she's favouring a tall mug of something entirely too non-alcoholic for her preferences, finding more of interest in her thoughts than in the contents of the drinking-cup.

"I wonder why things changed," Talise murmurs, more to herself, as she looks out through the merchant throngs towards the water. "The spirits still sing. If it's not a sin for them, I don't understand why it is for us."

<Pose Tracker> Layna Manydays has posed.

It was a pretty nice cafe, all things considered. They didn't have Layna's favorite drinks, but considering that those were largely(okay, almost entirely) alcoholic in nature, that was not too surprising. She isn't really too concerned about Lanval's current state. Right now, Layna's attention is focused on a certain book - 'Going Hunting: A Traveler's Guide to Aifread's Hunting Ground'.

Layna was not actually that interested in hunting, unless it was treasure. ...And that was what her current interest in this book was.

She looks up from her reading, glancing over to Talise.

"Good question. If the Goddess told 'em, you'd think they'd listen, aye? Maybe they didn't get the memo, and kept doin' what they've always been doin'." She replies with a shrug.

<Pose Tracker> Sephilia Lampbright has posed.

Sephy hums the tune absently. "I don't get it at all. It's so weird and it doesn't make any sense!"

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Lanval has posed.

There's a spirit right there who might be a valuable font of spiritual legal information as it regards the Goddess' decree and apparent existing exemptions whom merrily flaunt their voices and movements outside of the prying eyes and ears of mortals.
The portly phantom rolls over on his back, exposing his own eyes and ears to the world above with uncanny timing considering the nature of their conversation, complaints, and curiosities!
"Mmmmmmph." Maybe he has a useful answer! "Iiiiii'm," hiccup, "'m... shure they woulda sheen Her decree. I did, from where I wash... ya couldn't sleep through it. I didn't! N-Never would..."
Evidence suggests the contrary, knowing him!! He sniffs, wiping his sleeve across his mouth and beard as he starts to sit up.
"I mean... that wash the Goddessh hershelf! Wouldn't know 'nother shoul who'd turn the other way when she shpoke...."

<Pose Tracker> Talise Gianfair has posed.

"It just doesn't make sense. I wish I understood it." Talise sighs and presses her hand to her temple, closing her eyes for a moment. "Ugh, whatever. It's gonna bug me for weeks, I bet."

When Talise opens her eyes, she shrugs back at Sephilia and Layna. "Maybe we'll figure it out when we go to Glenwood. Who knows. But that's historically outside the Barrier, so maybe the spirits sound different there. More in Lanval's vein, since that was the place Althena set the Seraphim over...."

Speaking of Seraphim, Lanval speaks up from under the table, and Talise looks down discreetly, trying to keep her voice down so that no one thinks she's talking to herself.

"No... you couldn't miss it," she murmurs. "I was in Dalton at the time and she was in the water out in the harbour."

Talise scratches the back of her neck, shifting her legs to cross one ankle in front of the opposite. "Lanval," she asks, "if the Goddess says we can't drink and can't sing, why are you so okay with us drinking and singing? Aren't Seraphim supposed to be Althena's heralds?"

<Pose Tracker> Fei Fong Wong has posed.

Fei walks past the cafe. He hears some familiar voices and he turns to look, tilting his head. Of course, the person he first sees is Seraph Lanval who is embarrassingly drunk. He isn't really the sort to usually judge this sort of thing but he can't help but stare and try to coherently sort his thoughts and, more to the point, coherently sort Lanval's words. He gets about 60 percent of it. Maybe 70.

Fei says, "From what I heard, Althena loves singing and dancing." He walks over. "Or at least loved it. Something changed her mind but if it's the malevolence...it sure isn't going away."

He looks over to Layna for a moment and gives her a small nod before his gaze passes on towards Sephilia.

He blinks a few times. "Huh?"

Blink. Blink.

"Sephilia!" Fei says, eyes widening. "What are you doin' here? Didn'tcha see the posters?"

Wait, he thinks. Talise ... Talise has a point doesn't she?

"...Though..." He says, more aloud. "When you mention it like that... I'm pretty sure a lot of Seraphs just do whatever the hell they want."

He looks back to Sephilia. "But you gotta see your parents. They're worried sick! I told them you're alright but...they really need to see you for themselves."

<Pose Tracker> Sephilia Lampbright has posed.

"Fei!" Sephilia says excitedly. "We didn't see the posters, actually! It was really kind of weird, we went alllll the way back to my home and then found out that Dad and Mom had come all the way out this way but--Oh you've--you've talked to them! You hafta come with us to come visit them, then--when we finish up here, of course!" Sephy is excited as heck. "You can show us just where they are, right? Oh, and this is Lanval, he's...he's weird. Do you know Talise and Layna already?"

<Pose Tracker> Layna Manydays has posed.

Layna glances toward Lanval. This might probably look a little strange, to any other patrons of this cafe. She listens as Lanval explains...then shrugs.

"No idea, then." She comments, then glances toward Talise.

"Aye. I was on the sea when it happened - me crew and I saw her all around us." She agrees with a nod. She has a good question, though. Why was he okay with it? ...Why was he okay with doing it himself?

She glances over to Fei who approaches them, and Layna sends him a slgiht wave of greeting.

"Can't really say, m'self. Only met two of 'em, myself, and the first one I met was particularly devout." She explains.

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Lanval has posed.

"Drinkin'... ha ha! No one knowsh more 'bout that than meeee~" Lanval laughs and boasts drunkenly, and that's true enough. That might even be all he's good for! As evidenced when he helped himself to the full ration of the Quartermaster's Stash set aside for that last expedition. As evidenced as to how he'll help himself to ANYTHING one can drink if a drink has the misfortune of being in eyeshot, and in reach. It's not a subject as light-hearted as he seems to be - it's a tough question Talise puts out that demands a better answer than him laughing and boasting about his drinking prowess.
"Well... you shee," Lanval lurches upwards to a stand with the help of a nearby table before promptly flopping himself over a counter, arms dangling on the other side as he eyes the lack of drink selection. He rolls to the side to face upwards when it seems more like the sort of thing that demands at least a real effort to maintain some kind of eye contact, "'ve watched mortalsh drink for... a long, long time... I figure, I'd know besht if it were really gettin' outta hand. Beshidesh!" He throws his gourd up.
"Worshe comesh to worshe!! There'sh no shafer place ta put all the shtuff other 'n me! Ha ha!" It is true, if there's any alcohol that gets in his grasp, iiiiiit's not going to ever be seen by the light of day ever again. "I'm shtill Her humble shervant! 'm doin' my paaaaaart~" Hic!
...But what about singing? He doesn't quite answer that, does he.
Oh hey, is that another someone that can see him? Lanval curls his fingers around an imaginary mug, maybe a practiced reflex, and raises it up on high in greeting - even in the face of a kind of less-than-kind observation about his kind. He mostly just laughs drunkenly, obnoxiously, until...
"H-Heeeey... uhhh. What'sh thish 'bout... Glenwood?"

<Pose Tracker> Talise Gianfair has posed.

A flicker of surprise cuts across Talise's face as she realizes who's strolling up to them. "Oh hey," she says, unable to keep from grinning a bit. "It's you. Get manhandled out of any more prisons lately?"

Talise very much remembers how she met Fei. Oh yes.

She lets the grin pass to a more rueful smile as she leans back again. "Althena did love singing and dancing. All the stories say it. You could fill entire libraries with her songs and litanies. I mean, I'm gonna keep singing. Whatever she may say now, I can't... separate my feelings for her from music, somehow." She shrugs. "Maybe it's how I grew up."

Fei mentions the posters. Talise presses her hand to her face and sighs. "Goddess, the posters. Please don't remind me. Ugh. We got run out of here before we could spot 'em. Sephy!" She straightens up. "Before we go, we're gonna get you back to your mom and dad."

When Lanval speaks up, Talise tilts her head to the side by a couple of degrees, not quite looking straight at him. Fortunately Fei's more or less there so she can act like he said something interesting. "...Yeah. Yeah, you'd know a thing or two about drinking, wouldn't you," she agrees, before frowning a bit as Lanval changes the subject to Glenwood.

She gestures to Layna.

<Pose Tracker> Fei Fong Wong has posed.

"Yeah I know 'em." Fei says, pausing to look back to Talise. "Hey...Glad you made it out of there by the way." He smiles at her. "If you ever want to talk about it, hit me up." He leaves it vague like that.

He blinks a few times before adding, "Oh uh. Not lately, no. A lot's happened since then honestly." He pauses for a moment before adding, "But be careful, alright? Most people can't see him but they can see you."

He frowns thoughtfully at the mention of Glenwood but adds, "Probably better if I avoid it." He won't though because that would be the smart thing to do.

Fei smiles back at Sephilia. "Sure. I doubt they went anywhere, so just lemme know when you're good to go and I'll lead the way."

MARTIAL ARTIST FEI FONG WONG HAS JOINED THE PARTY AS A GUEST MEMBER

His gear is presently unremovable, though he doesn't even have a weapon to begin with and his accessory slot is a ??? anyway.

<Pose Tracker> Layna Manydays has posed.

Layna laughs good-naturedly at Lanval's response.

"Can't help but envy ya, lad! That's my kinda job." She responds, and then nods toward Talise when she gestured to her. Layna closes the book she's been looking at and gestures to the cover.

"Near Rolance's capital, Pendrago, there's this place they call 'Aifread's Hunting Ground', aye? They say the infamous pirate captain of legend frequented it, hence the name...and, what's more, they say that he hid his greatest treasure there." Layna replies. "...Now, I don't know about that, but I wager there's somethin' related to him there still. As a pirate m'self, I wouldn't mind seeing it, aye? You could say I'm a bit of a fan."

"Been there a few times in the past, but I was never able to get too far in. But now that I've got stronger friends? Well, I think we may just have a chance, aye?" She says with a wide grin on her face.

She glances to Fei with a nod as he volunteers to lead them to Sephilia's parents. She had to admit, she was interested in meeting them.

<Pose Tracker> Sephilia Lampbright has posed.

Sephilia beams excitedly. She's not overloading anyone with chatter for the moment, at least! "I can't wait for you all to meet my Dad and my Mom! They're REALLY nice, you'll see! Fei, I'm so happy you met them and told them that I'm safe already, they must have been REALLY worried!" Okay, little bit of chatter.

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Lanval has posed.

"Mmmhmm~" The shamelessly sauced Seraph says in agreement with Talise's own about his claims and Layna's envy. Somewhere in this momentary downtime, he has himself another swig of whatever's in that gourd that seems to keep changing between 'something delicious' and 'something the various monsters and other obstacles don't like having splashed on them' which, on reflection, may not be mutually exclusive concepts.
This tranquility, this silly swaying, seems to come to a gradual stop the longer Layna describes where they're going and why. His eyes, often always closed, go right open to show off those aquamarine eyes of his that seem much too alert for how he's been acting the last few hours (or, well, ever).
"Y-You're goin' down to Glenwood?" The pacing of this speech slows, quieting closer to a whisper. "That'sh..."
He slumps down the side of the counter he's currently sprawled about, holding the gourd close to his mouth in both hands worriedly. "That'sh a dangeroush place... I've... I've never been there before, uhh... hrm, hrm... hmmmmmm... hrrrrm." He nurses the gourd's contents closely, extending a shifty glance as Sephilia's joy overtakes her about meeting her parents agah.
"H-How 'bout we go meet her family! Y-Yep! Shwell idea!! Ha ha! We could keep havin' adventuresh all over Meribush with her father, too! That... that shounds like... like fun to meeee~! Ha ha..."

<Pose Tracker> Talise Gianfair has posed.

"Yeah. Hey, uh. Any time." Talise smiles at Fei broadly, pushing a hand through her hair. "Would love to actually get to know you better - I mean, we've only ever talked in passing, it feels like. And don't worry about me! I've shoved plenty of Guard in my time."

She declines to reveal that they shoved back.

Layna explains her destination of choice. Glenwood's territory less familiar to Talise and in her heart she's hoping the trip is vanishingly brief, but getting there for Layna's sake is something. She scratches at one of her cheekstripes, nodding slowly.

"I heard there were like six Aifreads," she puts in randomly. "Or he was immortal. I've got Aifread stories from all over history, actually. It's weird."

Reaching down, Talise claps a hand against Lanval's shoulder and squeezes firmly. "Hey," she assures with a crooked smile. "You'll be with us, y'know? We won't let anything happen to you. Besides... that's not for a bit. Right now we've got Sephilia's parents to meet. That'll be fun, right?"

<Pose Tracker> Layna Manydays has posed.

Layna chuckles slightly as Talise mentions there being multiple Aifreads.

"Aye, aye. Well, the thing about that is, every pirate worth their salt wants to match his legacy, aye? So they take up his name, hopin' that it'll help 'em match 'is talent. I mean, hell, I did, at least for that one tournament." She explains. "Or at least, that's what I'm thinkin'. But who knows? Maybe he was. A captain so fearsome, he plundered his life back from death itself!"

Layna laughs, and then glances toward Lanval.

"Aye, that I am. I won't force you to go with us, lad, but this's somethin' I gotta do." She explains. Well, she didn't have to, but...what kind of pirate if she didn't? And also she'd already paid for the boat, even if they wouldn't be leaving for a little while yet.

But before that...

"Aye, that we do. I've been eager to meet your family, Sephy. And I'm sure they've been even more eager to see you!" She says.

<Pose Tracker> Fei Fong Wong has posed.

Fei Fong Wong relaxes faintly when Lanval agrees to go see Sephilia's family rather than, like, calling the fuzz or something. He'sn ot sure. He's a relative unknown even if the rest of Fox Company seems chill with him (and to the point, Fei doesn't know 'Fox Company' is a thing so there's that too).

He says, "Then we're all agreed, eh?" He looks to Talise. "I've been around Meribia. I'll let you know where I'm staying later and we can chat it up." Right now, though, he has a very important mission.

He focuses on Sephilia for a moment, grinning faintly. "Heh... I've already met 'em, Seph. And you're right. It'll make their day!"

<Pose Tracker> Sephilia Lampbright has posed.

Sephilia beams! "Okay, I'm totally ready! Chauncey's excited too!"

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Lanval has posed.

Lanval is comforted by the firm grasp of a strong friend. He looks like a pathetic little lump, the way he's curled into himself. Layna reassures it's something she has to do, that she can't force him to come. Fei's inner thoughts would be interesting to speculate over aloud - why wouldn't he go call on the Guard, the most faithful and capable among mortals in Her service?
"Sh... shure... ha ha." His laughter seems nervous, but he's been bought some time to have another distraction! Time to go and meet Sephilia's family, after she's been separated for as long as she has.
Rising up again with a stagger and maybe with help from Talise, he sways back against the counter he's slouched against one last time before he's about as reasonably upright as he's going to get.
"Okaaaaay... let'sh go meet yer folks...!" He hiccups again.

<Pose Tracker> Talise Gianfair has posed.

"Yeah. It's true, a lot of people on the Lunabelle loved to tell Aifread stories. Not so much Captain Goldhand," Talise admits with a crooked smile. "He used to get crabby 'cause he took it to mean people were holding him up to some impossble Aifread standard."

Talise stands and picks up her pack, the armour within creaking subtly around the padding she's stuffed in with it. The sword hanging from it sways, albeit harmlessly; she's peacebonded it for the trip into town. Smiling at Fei, she agrees, "Yeah, sounds good."

Some less-than-innocent thoughts occur to her. She sets them aside by reminding herself Fei belongs to Elly.

Taking Lanval's hand, Talise helps the Seraph up, then pats him briskly on the back, not caring all that much if anyone sees. "Alright!" she says with good cheer. "Time for a family reunion."

<Pose Tracker> Sephilia Lampbright has posed.

It's a house by the docks that Sephilia's family is staying in. An older woman answers the door, and regards everyone present in shock. She seems to recognize Fei, of course, but the real surprise is evident that Sephilia Lampbright herself is standing before her. "Oh my!" she exclaims. "They're upstairs--go, hurry!"

Unlike when Fei visited before, the old widow is not bustling around and being a busybody--she knows when something important is going on.

Up the stairs, there's another door, to an apartment. Sephilia rushes up, then, hesitates, nervous. "What...what do I say?" she asks, worried.

<Pose Tracker> Layna Manydays has posed.

"Aye, I can understand that." Layna comments with a chuckle. It was hard to live up to, after all. But the important thing was trying!

And with that, they decide it's time to go visit Sephilia's family. Layna nods and stands up, tossing some silver onto the table before following everyone.

Layna takes a moment to appraise the house by the docks, but it isn't long before the end up in front of the door to the apartment where her parents are presumably staying.

Layna smiles down at Sephilia and offers her a reassuring hand on the shoulder.

"Don't say anything. Just go in there and give 'em a big ol' hug." She suggests.

<Pose Tracker> Fei Fong Wong has posed.

Fei seems oblivious to Talise's less than innocent thoughts, but he does seem genuine in his desire to talk to Talise. In a drifter lifestyle, sometimes shit takes a while to get to because you just don't run into someone for a while. It's an interesting kind of life that Fei is still not entirely used to, but he tries. He is quietly relieved that Talise seems to be doing better than from the last time he saw her.

But he smiles at Sephilia. "They love you. They'll be overjoyed no matter what."

He gives Sephilia a small headpat. "They're proud of you."

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Lanval has posed.

"Ahhh, hmmm, errr, you shee," Lanval thinks to himself as he rubs that chin that may not be a chin so much as it is a giant beard, "I've never, uhh, came... home... to anythin', shoooo~"
So he has nothing useful to say, as is the norm. He's a Seraph, maybe it's not entirely his fault that some of these matters are a bit beyond his comprehension versus his nature and long lifespan, so maybe he'll step aside and--
"Oh! Oh. Jusht shout 'MOM' and 'DAD' a bunch! I've sheen lotsha happy people do that, jusht shout namesh and run on in...!" He spews ideas that may or may not actually be that terrible, but there is a small something that seems to nag at him.
Ah, what the hey, it'll probably be okay!

<Pose Tracker> Talise Gianfair has posed.

"Goldhand had his own pretty excellent stories. I'll tell you some sometime," Talise offers Layna with a smile.

Talise probably told her a few already, but she would've been drunk and on Filgaia at the time, so Althena knows if she remembers.

Fei's observations aren't wrong: Since arriving on Lunar, it's seemed like an immense weight has lifted from Talise's shoulders. The dreadful depression that gripped her back on Filgaia after the events at the Guardian Temple has been replaced by her usual mental toughness and generally good disposition. She even looks a little more tanned and lively these days.

She smiles back at Fei before reaching out to rest her hand on Sephilia's other shoulder. "This is one of those times where words don't mean as much as what's in your heart," she says, voice soft. "Just do what feels right."

<Pose Tracker> Sephilia Lampbright has posed.

Sephilia hesitates just a moment longer, then knocks at the door. There's a noise from within and then it opens, and there stands George Lampbright. The familial resemblence is immediately apparent. He sees his daughter, and his eyes well with tears. "Oh, Sephilia!" he exclaims. Then there's a rush and he's hugging his daughter. A moment later, he is joined in that hug by Ofelia Lampbright--a small woman, and again the resemblance to Sephilia is immediately apparent.

Sephilia herself is overcome by emotion as well! After several moments of hugging, George looks up, spotting Fei among the gathered faces. "You've brought our daughter back to us," he says. "All of you. Please...it'll be crowded, but please come inside. Let's talk."

<Pose Tracker> Layna Manydays has posed.

The door opens, and standing in the doorframe is someone who can be none other than George Lampbright. Layna says nothing, just watches as a familiar, long torn apart, is finally together once more.

There's a sort of sad, wistful smile as she looks upon the scene. It was lovely, but at the same time...that kind of feeling wasn't one she could relate to anymore. George invites them in, and Layna nods.

"Aye, of course." She replies. She'll follow inside, at least once the others are in.

<Pose Tracker> Fei Fong Wong has posed.

Fei says, "Heh. I'd like to take credit, but it seems she was already on her way back." That's a lot of pats on Sephilia so Fei pulls his hand back. Aside from that brief comment, he brings his hands back and watches it happen. He's smiling. He's genuinely in a good mood. Even the wail of malevolence seems a distant consideration.

"If you'd like." He steps inside but doesn't force his way in. He does give a small concerned glance towards Lanval though. He does seem to have good intentions, however. He leaves it be.

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Lanval has posed.

As it so happens, Lanval helps himself in. It's nice that he's staying out of the way of a most precious moment for Sephilia - meeting back with her parents after being away for so long! Who knows how many things like this the Seraph has seen. Would it still touch his anatomical equivalent of a heart to see it all transpire?
On the other hand, he just flops onto a table on his back uninvited while it's all going on. Kind of rude, if he were someone that could be seen by them...

<Pose Tracker> Talise Gianfair has posed.

Huh, Talise realizes at the door opens. Sephy really did take after her dad.

That's the last clinical thought she's managing right now. As Sephilia rushes into her parents' arms, Talise brushes a hand over her eyes as if to wipe away a tear preemptively. She's smiling a wide, happy smile.

Against all odds, after she'd thought for sure that they'd lose the sweet young girl to the Pyre Witch, after losing half their friends on the way there and experiencing horrors no fifteen/sixteen-year-old should ever experience... they did it. Sephilia is home.

"Thank you," she answers the Lampbrights politely, bowing her head and taking a couple of steps forward. "Sephilia missed you both very much."

<Pose Tracker> Sephilia Lampbright has posed.

Sephilia, finally letting go of her parents, pulls out her journal and presents it to her father. "I've been keeping a journal of my adventures!" she explains. "Oh Dad, you wouldn't believe some of the things I've seen! Oh! This is Talise, and Layna, and you know Fei, and that's Lanval. You might not be able to see Lanval, he's a Seraph."

George raises an eyebrow. "Layna Manydays, is it? The famed pirate captain? And...hmm, something about the name Talise rings a bell. Impressive sword you have there."

"Dad, Dad, you won't believe this but--! That sword--"

"Have you been eating healthy, Sephilia?" asks Ofelia, looking her daughter up and down and clucking her tongue. "I hope you haven't missed meat pies too much. Do they have meat pies on the Blue Star? Mr. Fei told us that's where you were."

<Pose Tracker> Layna Manydays has posed.

Layna leans up against the wall of the room, arms folded in front of her as she watches Sephilia proudly present her journal to her parents. Her friend introduces her, and Layna offers the two a slight wave.

"Aye, the very same. I'm flattered you heard of me." Layna remarks with a grin. And also that they're not immediately trying to run her out of the room. That may be the gratitude, though.

She chuckles to herself as Sephilia's mother interrupts her, then looks between George and Ofelia.

"Good to finally meet both of you. Sephy here's told us a lot about you." She comments.

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Lanval has posed.

As Lanval is introduced, he turns and flops right off of that table and face-flat on the floor.
This is a holy spirit servant of Althena, everyone. That lump of 99.999999% ABV.

<Pose Tracker> Fei Fong Wong has posed.

Fei just kind of enjoys the moment. Moments like these are rare. He needs to appreciate them or he'd go nuts. It's all very sweet, sweet enough to make him miss-- Miss what, exactly, Fei Fong Wong? He's not sure, but seeing the mother, the father, the daughter--something about it just hits him in the gut. He pauses for a moment and raises his hand and wipes at his eyes.

Huh?

He looks at his hand. It's a little wet. "..."

He looks back towards Talise. They're both natives from Lunar, he realizes. "Guess more folks came from Lunar than I realized." He admits.

<Pose Tracker> Talise Gianfair has posed.

Talise smiles crookedly, letting out an almost-shy chuckle and shifting the sheathed Rastaban over her shoulder. "Ah heh... I don't know if I'm as famous as Layna... but it's nice to meet you. And thanks. I'm fond of the sword too." Her cheeks actually take on a soft, rosy blush.

She nods back to Fei with a crooked smile. "Sephilia was the first person from Lunar I really ran into up there. I wanted to make sure her and Chauncey got home safe. Just took a little longer than all of us would've liked!" She laughs sheepishly, moving towards a chair and resting a hand on the back of it.

She gives George and Ofelia a respectful nod and a smile. "I'm sorry we didn't find you sooner."

<Pose Tracker> Sephilia Lampbright has posed.

George Lampbright shakes his head wryly to Talise's apology. "It looks from this journal like Sephy wouldn't have come straight home anyway," he says. "She takes after her father that way," Ofelia adds.

"I'm just glad that she had such wonderful friends. Please, let me go to the market--all of you will be our guests for dinner tonight. I'll make Sephilia's favorite meat pie!"

Sephy looks like she's over the moon with happiness at that prospect.

"Even for the Seraph," Ofelia adds, bowing in the general direction of Lanval. Can she see him, or did she just get the hint that that's where he was?

<Pose Tracker> Seraph Lanval has posed.

There is muffled laughter from where Lanval lies face down, throwing up the gourd-bearing arm to a muffled but still quite loud...
     "FEEEEEEEEEEAASHT!"

<Pose Tracker> Fei Fong Wong has posed.

"Mission complete," Fei comments to Talise, grinning. Whatever happened before is already over.

"I think I heard mention of this famous meat pie." Fei says. "I'm never one to turn down home cooking!"

It's true! It's canon!!

<Pose Tracker> Talise Gianfair has posed.

Talise grins gently back at Fei. "Yeah... yeah. The fame of the meat pies has preceded them. I'm with Fei here!"

    > Fei gained +1 Talise rep.
