| PRE-EXPLORATION SUMMARY: | Irregularity noted by rumors regarding a 'shining valley' in Ignas; investigation proceeded but location difficult to approach due to light intensity. Shape of valley necessitated nocturnal on-foot approach. |
| EXPLORATION SUMMARY: | Upon arrival irregularity noted to be a result of metallic 'plant-life' grown wild throughout the valley. Unknown whether this will spread further. Hazards largely included the metallic 'plant-life' itself; nature of hazard varied from bladed 'foliage' to hostile 'trees'. 'Fruit' encountered; was determined to be inedible. A cavernous chamber was discovered near the end which attempted to crush us; once destroyed we were able to proceed further into the chamber and penetrate a storage room within, wherein we found the seeds. Notes suggest that the 'echo' variety can be used to duplicate objects in metal (though complex objects will require more than one seed) while the 'regular' variety can be used to reproduce the 'plant-life' located in the region. Samples of seeds collected have been sent to the labs. |
| RECOMMENDED ACTION: | It's possible this is related to the Metal Demons; I recall Kent and van Houten having encountered something similar. If van Houten were still alive she might have been able to tell us more. Further investigation of site recommended. |
