2019-09-06: A Matter Of Concern

<Pose Tracker> Citan Uzuki has posed.

"I admit that this is rather short notice."

It'd been a simple request, asked of Fei and passed along to the other Black Wolves (and Black Wolves-adjacent) interested and/or available.

'I need to talk about what I have found in the mines. I believe you may be interested in what we encountered.'

And that was that. He'd found a small out-of-the-way ruin, a mostly-intact stone pavilion left over from some point long ago. It's out of the way, and even more importantly, off the beaten path, away from the road. If only there were a place with a little more privacy in Guadosalam or one of the travelers' inns... but it can't be helped.

Citan is already waiting there by the time the others arrive, a single roughly-square-shaped item in his hand. It's a photograph.

"I assume you did not encounter any trouble finding this place?"

    He's polite, as usual.

The doctor glances down once at the single picture he'd taken in the mines. Though blurry and at a decided tilt, the form of Angra Mainyu can't be mistaken for anything else. But it's not the Fiend that has his attention -- it's the half-obscured uniformed figure off and to the right of the creature.

He hands the photograph over to Leon, indicating the fallen figure at the bottom of the picture with a tap of his finger.

"That," he says, "is what I wanted to talk to you about. I understand," he pauses a moment here to readjust his glasses. "you have had more than a few encounters with Gebler in the past?"

Because the body in question, the one in the photograph, is someone unambiguously in a Gebler uniform.

<Pose Tracker> Leon Albus has posed.

Leon is familiar with Citan, of course. He helped treat them when they first came to Spira; helped bind their wounds and ensure they did not die. He may not have been a Black Wolf, but Leon considered him an ally nonetheless. When he wanted to speak with them...

...well, far be it from the Captain to refuse.

He comes in the buttoned up shirt, vest, and pants that he wears. He hasn't been able to replace his coat, and his vest is dark blue instead of grey. He has to live with what he can salvage.

He frowns, a little, as he looks at the photograph slid towards him. Leon leans over it, and peers at the body. His brow furrows -- and then he nods. "A Gebler soldier. And you say this is from a place on Spira, Doctor Uzuki?"

<Pose Tracker> Lunata Croze has posed.

Lunata's taken a very, very odd and meandering path through Spira... but it doesn't mean that she wants to cut all contact, especially when Gebler is involved. Because in the end, Gebler was part of how she inevitably got involved with Bart and the Black Wolves back when they were part of the Yggdrasil Alliance--

And even if she stayed with the ship rather than break off, it's hard to ignore things like this.

I assume you did not encounter any trouble finding this place?

    HALF AN HOUR AGO

"I have no idea how to read this," Lunata complains.

Shalune was probably on-hand to point out: "Lunie, it's upside down."

    NOW

"Nope, we found it real easy," Lunata answers, waving to Citan. "It's been a while, doc."

Since they probably, invariably, ran into each other at some point during the Yggdrasil days.

She stares towards the photograph and furrows her brow. "Where is that? That Fiend's... Spiran, no doubt."

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

Short notice. That's true. "No trouble," she answers simply enough, walking along with Leon for the moment. She's in a repaired armored jacket and long pants, a buttoned shirt beneath. Eyeing the photograph, Lily... frowns. Because of course the form is clear--but th euniform...

She nods to Lunata, as if of course there was no trouble, obviously, clearly, and--

"Putting it lightly, yes. We have had a few encounters with Gebler."

Lily's expression has that look of 'yes, very many' to it.

"What of them?"

<Pose Tracker> Shalune Amira has posed.

Shalune arrives with Lunata, all smiles at getting to see some old faces. She's gone at least a little native, spending her time in a Spiran robe that cuts halfway between 'swordsman' and 'shaman' - but the satchel over one shoulder is stuffed to the brim with tools and she's got a bit of an oil smudge on one cheek she hasn't completely wiped away, so she's obviously still up to her old tricks.

Especially given that it's the Thunder Plains. At a bit of a loss for what to do in Spira other than support Lunata, she's taken up the role of helping out in maintaining the lightning rods, and by now she's gotten pretty quick and accurate when it comes to fixing them up. So much so that what appears to be an umbrella at first glance can quickly be recognized as a miniature version of the pylons, providing her some shelter from the rain while--

    *KRAK-BOOM*

--letting lightning strike just above her head, grounding itself into whatever the odd contraption on top is. A flywheel starts lazily spinning, and something on the side makes a soft tone as a light turns green. With a hum of satisfaction Shalune removes a battery pack, hefts it in her hands, and then tucks the umbrella away without comment. Somehow this is the more sensible one of the pair.

At least it explains why her hair is currently fluffed up into tendrils, bits of it sticking up from the static as she peers over at the photo. "Hmm... but it stands to reason that they'd get sent over here too, right? I bet they wouldn't like Odessa muscling in on their turf, or somethin' like that."

<Pose Tracker> Fei Fong Wong has posed.

"We saw Loren too," Fei is compelled to point out, seating himself down nearby. "He uh, tried to kill us. And uh, he might be..." He trails off. "...But I am not sure how he came to be on Spira, or how any of Gebler came to be on Spira. Perhaps Odessa sent them over to? I could see that... but I am not sure why they'd be delving into that kind off ruin and risking their lives like that--not without some sort of objective, right?"

He looks to Leon for a moment, biting his lip nervously, before shifting his gaze back towards Lily.

He rubs at his neck and laughs at the understatement of the century.

Then Shalune--yeah. She sure has oa way of making an appearance.

He smiles towards her and Lunata, "Hey you two." He says lazily.

<Pose Tracker> Elhaym van Houten has posed.

Elly, who is an encounter with Gebler, looks vaguely - obscurely - haunted. "Yes," she says.

"He said that he was with others," Elly says, "and he wanted me to go back." She glances at Lily and Leon and sucks in a breath through her teeth -- striving to push back the vague reflex to burst into tears. "To them."

"It's possible that a unit ended up here, because of Rhadamanthus and the Sorcery Globe," Elly says, "and they're trying to find a way home while staying isolated. That's... one possibility, at least..."

<Pose Tracker> Citan Uzuki has posed.

The doctor had lent his assistance to the Black Wolves when they arrived on Spira just as always, but no more than that -- perhaps as a country doctor he has no taste for the soldier-of-fortune life.

Citan folds his arms over his chest and nods, just once. "Indeed. I encountered signs of Gebler, no, Solaris' presence in the Lapisera Mines. Not only the body you see here, but remnants of their technology. It would appear that this force may have been completely destroyed in the mines, but whether or not this is the extent of their presence here in Spira, I cannot say."

He glances at the lot of them -- at Lunata and Shalune, who he knows from the days with the Yggdrasil, at Lily who as with Leon and the rest he has come to know from Fei (and Elly's) association with the Black Wolves.

"Yes," he says with a nod when Shalune points out that fact. "That is what concerns me. Until recently," he glances at Fei when he brings up the subject of a certain Gebler captain's activities, "I was not aware of the presence of Gebler or Solaris here. I had thought it possible that they had not been transported with the rest of us. However..."

He regards Elly in silence for a long moment. "Yes. It is possible that there have been a number of them here all along. What they may be up to, and where they are concealing themselves, however..."

<Pose Tracker> Leon Albus has posed.

"Probably not," Leon says to Shalune. "And from what I've seen... I doubt Odessa means well for Solaris, either."

He rubs his chin, before he looks at Fei. He nods his head once -- because they did run itno Loren. He frowns, before he nods his head once at what Elly says. "We're not letting that happen," he says. "We'll protect you. If it comes down to that."

His eyes shift back to Citan -- and he nods. "...I see," he says. "An entire force, in the Lapisera Mines... then, I wonder... if that means they came originally, or later."

<Pose Tracker> Lunata Croze has posed.

"... the Tzadkiel was around back in Meribia. I remember. Do you think it was possible a detachment or two made it overseas to Spira?" Lunata offers up a suggestion.

She tilts her head. "Or, they disguised themselves as part of the Guard fleet. We never figured out which Filgaian supplier provided Rolance with those ARMs, did we?"

It's all just conjecture. Being teleported is just as likely. But it feels like there are many shadowy groups working around Lunar. It was distasteful, to her.

There's a smile at Leon and Lily, with a wave, but her face falls when Fei and Elly say someone tried to kill them.

"Geez. Are you--" she catches Elly's look. "Two all right? I can try to be around more, help kick his butt." Little does she know she had to prop him up and feed him soup after!!

"Lapisera Mines, huh... I guess I've got to warn the Maester and Krelian about yet another group of people," she grouses. A pause. "If... that's okay with you guys." She holds her hands up. "If you prefer I don't, that's okay too."

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

"Voss isn't part of some concerted effort to bring you in, though." Lily seems fairly sure of this. "I had thought he might be isolated, but that would be too convenient." Glance back to Fei. "Anyone trapped here could be looking for a way back, but..."

Tried to kill them. "There' ssomething..." She considers, frowning. "Mm. Nevermind."

"We will," she agrees to Elly, and then considers Citan. "So you think it's possible that they were already here, for unrelated reasons, but haven't shown themselves in the past. I can't say that I have any proof otherwise. There's too much we don't know."

Pause. "I ran into him myself, at Djose." She does not recognize the name Krelian, though that would be incredible. "He..." She considers.

"Maybe you should. He warned me about one of the Maesters, though I have no idea what he meant. He seemed... Strange, somehow."

<Pose Tracker> Shalune Amira has posed.

"... right?" Shalune nods her head to Leon as she collapses the umbrella away into a much smaller form, much like she does the Little Dipper. "The Odessa guys would be all 'huff puff look at you floating above the skies lording it over everyone, even though we don't much like the concept of 'everyone' in general anyways. We're gonna pull you down from your lofty perch!' I bet they'd be all too happy to beam the place over to Lunar en masse."

With a glance at Fei, she frowns at the news. "And I bet... I bet they're the sort of people who don't know what to do when they're down on the ground, y'know? Might explain why they're ranging around. You get isolated, you get used to your nice happy routine, then suddenly you're on another world and lost and confused but the idea of asking anyone's real hard--"

She is at least listening, because she abruptly goes a little stiff in that 'oops' manner when Elly gently indicates she was once one of their number; Shalune bobbles a little in consternation, then digs at her hair in an attempt to keep the mess back down. "Um. No offence meant. I just meant generally, you know? People who end up isolated kinda get that way, I think."

When it comes to Krelian and the aide's conversation with Lily, Shalune taps at her cheek. "Hmm... I mean, it doesn't take much to get the impression the Yevon Church isn't exactly united. There's a bunch of old Maesters, and I kinda think they each have their own idea on what should happen next. He's really been helpful, though."

<Pose Tracker> Fei Fong Wong has posed.

Fei wonders what Solaris could be up to.

He hasn't really thought too deeply about it. He just assumed they were stranded here as anybody else, but it stands to reason... "Perhaps... they are after the same thing that Odessa is after." He shrugs again. "Whatever that is?" He can't imagine Solaris caring about a giant whale on another planet but even that he can't really say for certain.

He closes his eyes for a moment, knocking on his old buddy's door.

'Hey, do you have any ideas?'

The response is immediate: I'm not your exposition. Ask the Doc. I bet he already has some idea of what they're up to

Fei blinks his eyes a few times, fluttering them open.

"Wait, did you just say Krelian?" Fei asks of Lunata. "Haha, what a coincidence! Elly and I met a Krelian in Besaid too. We had to save him from Guba, we had dinner together after. Haven't seen him around since, but he seemed nice. I hope he's doing alright...but yeah, I guess warning Krelian about Solaris might be a good idea. I could see them trying to ingratiate themselves with the Church to kind of become the people behind the power there, like they're doing with Shakhan."

He glances back to Citan then and adds, "Say Citan, you worked with 'em before, did they ever mention anything about this sort of thing while you were lending them a hand?"

He pauses a moment and scratches his ear with a finger. "...Wait, was that a Yggdrasil Crew only secret or did we all know about that?"

Fei makes some dumb OK KO face.

<Pose Tracker> Lunata Croze has posed.

Lunata beams up at Fei. "Oh yeah! That sounds like him! Krelian's our scootin' buddy. You catch a ride on the Dipper once you're a scootin' buddy for life."

<Pose Tracker> Fei Fong Wong has posed.

"I...I road the Dipper once... does that mean..."

His eyes sparkle.

"I'm a scootin' buddy too??"

<Pose Tracker> Lunata Croze has posed.

Lunata gives Fei a wordless thumbs up. Big Shal Style.

<Pose Tracker> Fei Fong Wong has posed.

Fei thumbsup Lunata right back, sparkling.

<Pose Tracker> Elhaym van Houten has posed.

"But..." Elly says.

She blinks, slowly, and her lips turn into a frown.

"Oh," Elly tells Lunata. "Um. The man we fought... I went to school with him, I - I know he wasn't... He didn't like me, but he... just... I don't really want to talk about it, right now."

She looks at her feet. She looks at Leon, when he speaks, and she smiles.

"... You know him?" Elly says to Lunata, then, folding her arms loosely. The topic of that man, who had a pleasant sort of feeling to him... ("It's alright," she asides to Shalune.)

"It sounds like it was the same man," Elly says. "It's a little funny, really, since there's a man with that name in..."

Elly trails off as Fei says 'Doc, you used to work with them, right?' And now it's CITAN she's looking at again, and her face isn't really hang dog so much as -- searching? If she had dialogue here, it would absolutely, unquestionably be "..."

<Pose Tracker> Citan Uzuki has posed.

Was it possible that this could have predated their current arrival in Spira, perhaps as far back as the last transit to Lunar? Citan shakes his head. "That, I cannot say for certain. ...However, I think that there may have, ah... been more sign of their presence here, were that so. But I cannot be sure."

He unfolds an arm and rubs at his right temple as if he were developing a headache.

He glances Shalune's way as she speculates after Solaris and its people's natures, tilting his head almost thoughtfully, but says nothing.

Watch out for the Maester, is it? "I would not say that Yevon appears to be in the midst of a schism, but you are correct, Shalune. It may be that there are weak points within the church."

There is a glance, then, when Lunata mentions the name of 'Krelian'.
    "...Krelian?"
He looks, at most, mildly interested, with a vague cast of concern tinging his expression... as it has for most of the conversation to this point.

This state of affairs maintains itself even through the point where Fei mentions that, he, too has met a 'Krelian'. Yes, even through the part where Fei considers warning Krelian about Solaris.

Until the part where 'Krelian' and 'scooting buddy' leave Lunata's mouth in the same context. Citan's expression grows, every so slightly, that much more strained. He lifts a hand to readjust his glasses, ducking his head a fraction as he does so.
    "I, I see..."

This is, perhaps, not the best state of affairs...

He glances back at the rest of them after a moment more.

Fei lets a little 'something' slip. "Ah." The doctor then lifts a hand to his mouth and politely clears his throat. "...No, I believe they did not," he explains to the young man. "But it is no matter. No, I should have been upfront about this some time ago." Citan glances at the others. "...It is as Fei has said. By birth, I am a Solarian. That is the country where Gebler is from," he adds, by way of explanation. "Indeed, despite my social status at birth, I attained a role in that country's government. However... I defected some time ago," his gaze shifts here a moment towards Elly and Fei, "This is a story that I have told them before, after the operation to rescue Princess Cecilia. Again, my apologies for not speaking of this sooner. We, soon after, became engaged in many things..." He shakes his head.

"But to answer your question, Fei... I am afraid not. I have been, shall we say, somewhat out of the loop? However, I have not yet seen signs of an operation on Solaris' part in Spira yet, and this is what concerns me. Either their methods have shifted since I left, there are fewer of them present than I suspect, or..." He appears to, again, consider something in silence, his gaze tilted upwards to the underside of the pavilion's roof.

<Pose Tracker> Leon Albus has posed.

Leon doesn't know the first thing about Krelian. He does, however, nod at Lunata. "I don't think there is any harm in warning the Maester and his aides that you're friendly with. I'm impressed, really... the four of them are the highest leaders of Yevon. You've done well to befriend one."

Even if part of him says they should be careful. After all, Leon picked a different side: the Al Bhed.

He looks back at Citan -- and then he nods his head. "I think you're right. Also... the fact that you found corpses, not living soldiers," Leon adds. "That, in and of itself, is a concern."

He follows the conversation about Krelian -- and then his eyes widen at the discovery that Citan is, in fact, Solarian. He wonders, for a moment, if others will be former Solarians. "...I don't blame you. It's dangerous knowledge to share, Doctor. Some people might decide that you're their enemy. But..."

He shakes his head. "I appreciate that you told us. I think... we need to learn more." He frowns, and then glances towards Lily. "A quiet Solaris is a troublesome Solaris."

<Pose Tracker> Lunata Croze has posed.

"... it was pure coincidence, honestly," Lunata admits to Leon. "We landed right in front of the cafe he was having a meal at and the rest was..."

    A frown.

"I don't know. There's something about him... his Aeon... but I can't really explain it."

She does look curious at Lily's comments about one of the Maesters. She looks to Shalune too. "Which one, if you have a name...?"

The talk of Loren, and Voss, and Lily having met him... it's Elly that she looks concerned about. "... okay," she nods, as she says she doesn't want to talk about it.

But then she switches to Krelian. She raises her eyebrows at Citan, but answers to Elly, "Yeah, he's Maester Seymour's aide. He's a friendly fellow."

Citan shares that he is Solarian by birth, though...

"... I'm not so dumb that I'm going to bang some pots and pans and lump everyone as some kind of Flan," Lunata answers, looking at Elly again. "Elly's shown me that. And--"

She glances to Leon. "... I mean, I know it's gonna be awkward sometimes. With me working for Yevon. But I like to think I know how to set things aside, especially cause you've all been my allies for such a long time. And I'll help you where I can, with what Yevon's able to learn."

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

Lily also doesn't know anything about Krelian. She isn't exactly surprised at the friendmaking prowess they've shown, though. It suits them... though of course, she too chose the Al Bhed.

"...Heh," she says to Fei as he blinks. Did she have some guess at what happened? ...Maybe. Regardless though, she looks to the others and--pauses.

"So you're..."

"Hm." There is, admittedly, the flush of instinct; she looks over Citan, and internally she contemplates the situation at hand; the likelihood that Fei and Elly for one might intervene, and how quickly; Citan's probable reflexes. The amount of force that would be ideal to counter these factors; the direction--

"...It's fine," Lily says, acting on apparently none of this information. She certainly doesn't communicate it, just is calm and quiet for a moment.

"Despite your status?" Lily wonders. "...Hmm." Engaged in many things... "....Yes, I was rather occupied at that time, as well. I would like to have known, but..." She glances back to Fei, thoughtfully.

"Honestly it's for the best that you didn't tell me sooner," she admits. "I might've been one of those to decide we were enemies, back then."

She looks to Citan again. "I'm concerned as well. Not only at the possibility of their presence--though I likewise think we might notice something--but simply because..."

"Well. Solarians, Gebler--their military aren't slouches. Anything that can take them out is worth knowing about. Sure, it could've been surprise attacks, but still."

Lily flexes her fingers, then, and... might be calming something down. Leon can sure see it, anyway. It's simpler, as she looks to Lunata instead. "He didn't give me a name. Just that he mistrusted one. We were... civil," she allows. "It would have been problematic to go on the attack, if nothing else."

Flan... Ugh, slimes. "It's fine,' she says about working with Yevon though. "Personally, what governments want makes no difference to me; work with whichever one you like."

<Pose Tracker> Fei Fong Wong has posed.

'Heh,' Fei thinks to himself. 'Citan didn't know anything after all.'
Yeah, sure, okay.

He considers Shalune's words on Solarian nature quietly but he thinks it might be a bit gauche to actually comment on it. But even he has to nod slowly in affirmation of Leon's own words. A quiet Solaris is a dangerous Solaris.

"And they're often pretty quiet." Fei murmurs.

He looks up and shakes his head to Lunata. "Hey I have no room to complain. Y'all still accepted me after uh...everything. Just know we'll come to lend you a hand if you ever need it, or ask, alright?"

He smiles. Lunata seems to be doing better lately. If that's Yevon's doing, have at as far as he's concerned.

He wonders what took out those Gebler soldiers... But well, Fei has taken out Gebler soldiers before so how dangerous can it--

--oh right, he is also pretty dangerous. Maybe there is something bad going down just out of sight.

"He's an aide to the Maester," Fei tells Citan. "I don't know much about him but he seemed friendly enough."

He does look relieved when Citan says letting it out is all good and he isn't in trouble.

Wait why is he worried about being in trouble with Doc? They're both grown men.

Okay, maybe Doc is sort of an important mentor figure and Fei doesn't want to dissapoint him okay??

"I mean I guess technically I also worked for them so."

He gives another big shrug since he's referring to the demn of elru here.

<Pose Tracker> Elhaym van Houten has posed.

"..." Elly says, and she means it.

"heh," she says to Leon.

"... the only thing that doesn't make sense to me about this," Elly says, "is... how could they have sent forces here?"

She looks up. "To my knowledge, Gebler didn't have the ability to travel between Filgaia and Lunar... the Tzadkiel was caught up in the warp of space to get here, and was nearly destroyed. When it sortied against Sin, it was barely functional... I think the Elements were holding it together with their bare hands."

SMASH CUT TO THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE TZADKIEL SEVERAL ACTS AGO

Tolone drinks a juice box from where she's controlling the ship with her brain. Seraphita is loading another juice box.

BACK TO HERE NOW

"But if Gebler had that capability... if they could send people that far... they wouldn't need the Tzadkiel, or any ships. They would just sortie Gears from the homeland and have them fly back."

Elly looks up. "Do you think they seized the Sorcery Globe from Rhadamanthus?"

<Pose Tracker> Shalune Amira has posed.

Shalune has the common sense to give Lunata a bit of an amused and disbelieving stare as she and Fei go into the scooting buddy routing, but it's tinged by obvious pride as she grins foolishly. "Scooting buddies. Though, Mr. Krelian does tend to kind of yell and pout a lot whenever we scoop him up. That thing where you know he's enjoying it but he's too proper to admit it."

She's quick to gravitate towards and nearly pat Elly on the arms a few times, only stopping short due to the chance she'll zap the redhead with static shock. Shalune doesn't have the guile to lie or be overly tactful, so the warm smile is probably genuine as she nods her support, missing the unspoken question between Elly and Citan - but not Citan's response to them all.

"Huh," she blurts, her eyebrows raising in curiosity the next moment. "I mean, if Mr. Fei trusts you, that's pretty much all I need," she admits, allowing herself a rather impish grin. "I mean, he's pretty good at being suspicious of people, so if you get past that it must be okay! ... but, suddenly I've got about a million questions on how the place even works. Not even in terms of organization, just-- gimme one of their engines or something so I can take it apart?" she wonders, trying an innocent wink as she sticks her tongue out the corner of her mouth.

    She is not fooling anyone.

"Ah, we kinda just fell on the Maester, honestly," she adds to Leon, looking a bit sheepish as she tries to force her frizzed hair down. "And I mean that totally literally. Popped out of a portal right in front of him, but he helped us out and lent an ear.

She looks again at Lunata, for quite a while, when the other girl says she can set things aside. But she doesn't press the point, as upbeat as she is, and breaks into a beam instead. "Yeah! And honestly, I'm a bit more free and footloose than Lunie is right now, so if you need someone to fly messages around or just poke into something, I can sure help out on that front."

<Pose Tracker> Citan Uzuki has posed.

Citan nods but once at Leon's assessment. "Indeed, Captain. Solaris... judges defection harshly." He glances, fleetingly, at Elly. "It is best that as few people know as possible. However, as Fei is targetted by them, and as Elly, perhaps, now also may be in their sights... it is best that you know."

He actually smiles slightly when Lily makes that admission. "Even if it has been some time since I counted myself among their number? ...No, I cannot blame you for that impulse. You had undergone a trying experience at their hands, even if he would have prevented you from being unduly harmed..." He folds his arms over his chest and glances away, his thoughts apparently elsewhere.

Lunata's response prompts a simpler reaction, by comparison: "Thank you, Lunata. Indeed, I am not the only one to turn their back on Solaris' methods."
She would actually need to only look so far as the Yggdrasil for another escapee... but far be Citan to speak one of his oldest friends' secrets for him. If Sig wants to tell her, he'll do so on his own time.

To Shalune, he can only sigh and shake his head. "I thank you for your support. ...Regrettably, I did not take anything with me, so I have nothing that I can offer you." He smiles though, as if to suggest he is (mildly) teasing her.

Expecially now that Solaris may be operating, to some degree, in Spira. "Yes... I believe a good first place to look may be the mines. We were unable to investigate further due to the Fiend in that photograph and were forced to retreat," he explains, shaking his head once. "If we had more of a trail to follow we might try asking some of the native Spirans. However, I do not know where to begin." He glances over at Lily. "You said you spoke to that... classmate of hers. Where was this? Perhaps that may be a clue."

The information about the Maester's aide, meanwhile -- from various corners, Fei included -- gets a carefully, carefully neutral: "I see." He appears to be considering the matter, but offers nothing more on the man verbally.
Particularly not when Shalune adds in her own two cents on the matter.
Citan's talents in non-reaction are getting put to the test today...

He regards Elly for a moment. He, of course, had not been transported to Lunar with the rest of them back then, which means he has little first-hand information about what transpired. "I see. Yes, in that case, it would not be possible that they were present here quite this long. I understand that crossing the sea to Spira was unheard of before Althena's Guard managed it, and I do not think they would have been able to have arrived unnoticed." He nods. "Yes, I have been thinking about that myself. Either they were transported at the same time that we were, or..." A pause. "It could be. That, or they were transported here by Odessa."

Neither, arguably, is a good situation.

His attention shifts, then, and of all the people in the room his focus fixes on Fei, when the younger man mentions having also 'worked' for Solaris. In a sense. "..."

<Pose Tracker> Leon Albus has posed.

"Well, sometimes civility is called for," Leon answers Lily. "I'm glad you got what info you did. I'd rather know if Solaris doesn't feel Yevon -- or the Maesters -- are entirely trustworthy."

Then, he looks back at Lunata. He nods once at her. "...All right," he says. "I trust you, Lunata. It may not hurt, besides. Having someone who can get an idea of who Yevon is -- how they think. Just... keep your eyes open, that's all I'll ask."

He gives a glance to Shalune, too. Something along the lines of 'keep an eye on her.' But, he smiles. "We might take you up on that, Shalune."

He glances at Citan for a second -- and then back at Fei, then Elly. "I'm more interested in where you are now. We'll be careful, for all of our sakes."
