"Thank you for riding ze Shoopuf today," he speaks through a quaint speaker attached to the corner of your cabin. "Sshortly, we would like to begin ze degustation, starting with ze appetizer..." A small round table bearing the appearance of a Magic Pot emerges from the centre. A sweet purple cloud poofs out from the top, and out comes...! A cute lotus flower-shaped bowl containing lightly crisped renkon or lotus root chips -- sourced from the very Moonflow itself! Lightly salted and with a delicate taste of ginger and spice, it's the perfect finger food to kick back and relax with... But, ah, with any light finger food, it's easy to overindulge and be too full before your main meal. LAST TIME IN Wow you ruined your life further Lunata Croze!
Lunata is having a hell of a time trying to prepare a menu and organising her sous chefs for Seymour's wedding reception -- a wedding reception, she might add, which she doesn't know if the bride will accept which is kind of making her raise her eyebrows at her new Maester friend but WHATEVER it's a culinary challenge--
"H-head chef, help! There's an invitational at the Moonflow... apparently there are some very important guests and they need a reception."
Lunata slumps in the middle of preparing her new culinary insanity, and that's all the lull the Ice Flan needs to nom her on the head--
TODAY
Lunata Croze is awaiting in the middle of the extravagant booth atop the Shoopuf, dressed rather pleasantly in Yevon swordswoman robes; it's rich red with various blue and yellow stripes, bearing the appearance of travelling nomads, with a nice tassel at the collar.
She... she still can't get rid of the Yggdrasil Alliance jacket, though, so it's still synthetic tacticool with the iron faceguard ontop. She also got someone to do up her white hair kinda nice, which--
Is kind of all for naught because she's staring agog at the guests incoming.
OH that's Kaguya. Well, she's kind of entirely on the opposing side and everything and OH hello that's the woman she fought to a draw and a boat got killed because of them and OH that's the nice man in red who saved her life back when she was getting choked by Yaro and OH that's also Sentinel Elvis coming.

She clears her throat, and then imagines shoujo sparkles around her as she puts on her suave face and delivers her smoothest line:
"Welcome, honored guests, to the Shoopuf Degustation Course."

Leave is an important part of waging a war. This, too, is a wisdom that Amaterasu knows well. While most would assume that the woman never takes time off at all, this is far from the case.
(Even if she should arguably take more time off than she does.)
To this end, particularly in the wake of recent events and the subtle shifts in the war...
She has made arrangements. They are the sort of arrangements that do, arguably, take them all into enemy territory. Sort of.
But this is a fact that concerns the Veruni soldier little.
On this day, Amaterasu wears little armor. Her dread weapon is nowhere to be seen. She is, now, simply herself, without any weapon.
...But herself, though she did not announce that fact.
"I have learned that exemplary food is served upon this excursion," she explains to her fellow Veruni. "We should make us of this as a day to rest and recover from our recent efforts. Come. We will set off on the fabled Degustation Course."
She gestures, broadly, towards the Shoopuf.
SHORTLY AFTER
Amaterasu regards their guide.
"Waitress," she says at length. "We meet again." Her gaze takes in their current surroundings, the booth atop the Shoopuf. "Do not worry. I am not prepared for battle this day." She leans forward, her attention on Lunata and Lunata alone. "...Is this a part of your fabled waitress training?"

She doesn't even look when she reaches for one of those renkon crisps. Not looking at what you're eating is the true path to eating mindlessly--!

Leave is a very, very good idea after time at the front there--Kaguya, for one, has been getting a little... grumpy, to say the least. So the prospect of getting out to the Moonflow isn't a bad one; there are a lot of plants Kaguya would like to take more samples of, and going without an army makes that a lot simpler...
It's fine.
EARLIER
"Yeah, see," Kaguya says, dressed nothing like someone from Glenwood at this point but instead in more casual, water-friendly attire (guns out!! ...she's super scrawny it's fine.), she leaans over to the receptionist of the course after Amaterasu leads them over. "You should know," Kaguya says pleasantly. "I'm kind of a big deal."
NOW
The jacket's cool. Kaguya notices it. She also notices Lunata, and when she sees her--Kaguya, naturally, is at the back of the group, being the smallest--her expression shifts. Her strange, pale green eyes dance--her face--
It is very clearly :D
By the time Amaterasu starts looking around, her expression is normal and casual of course. She does not bust out laughing as Mat mentions the 'fabled waitress training', which frankly she thinks should qualify her for an award. Really she should be on TV back in Locus Solus.
"Why, thank you," Kaguya answers pleasantly, reaaaching out and taking a crisp. "Meatless, right?" she asks, looking over--doesn't look or smell like any meat broth...
Chomp. She seems to approve. But is she paying attention? Or will she... Snack on????
Regardless she leans back in her seat for a moment, lounging. "Shoopuf..."

Amaterasu, apparently, had made dinner arrangements for all of them. Dinner arrangements within enemy territory at the Mooflow's Shoopuf Crossing.
Well, Ambrosius wasn't going to turn down that offer - he appreciated the opportunity to relax and enjoy the company of his friends and allies.
"I have heeeard this...as well..." Ambrosius replies with a nod toward Amaterasu. And as she gestures, he nods, and when they proceed forward they see...
...a familiar face?
"Miss Croze..." Ambrosius greets with a polite nod. Ambrosius is not really the type for casual outfits, but he at least is without his armor - instead in his usual heavy adventuring outfit, complete with his poncho.
He takes a seat, and...draws out a silvery device from within his poncho? Is it a weapon!?
No, he's...
...Is he analyzing its nutritional values??
It's okay, he's not trying to uncover the secret ingredients, or anything like that.

It was time to cross the Moonflow.
More research opportunities lay beyond in the wilds. He has found all sorts of strange creatures an items, carefully documented with stored specimens. From fangs, to ominous fragments of stone, to crystallized energy.
It all held potential. And more lay beyond this water. And while Sentinel Elvis could possibly jump it, or swim it without issue, THere was some quaint rustic feeling to taking the local way across. Not to mention a chance to note on the massive beasts of burden the small creatures that call this place home use.
Plus, fellow Veruni nearby, too. Actually, Kaguya seems to have a plan of some kind. Considering she is spearheading relations on thsi strange continent, it may be prudent to let her lead to not arouse suspicion. "I look forward to exploring the reaches beyond this location," he comments idly.
Surprisingly, helping with this comfortable ride (Perhaps a little cozy for the Sentinel's size) is someone the Professor has seen before. He recalls that potato and onion soup well. The taste and warmth contrasted the biting cold of the Steppes well. "Hello again, young lady!" he says with a singlar waving gesture of the hand. She appears different. Something about her he can sense is different, but cant quite put his finger on it. Not that it matters, she is helping with this pleasant event.
Hum. "What are these?" he asks, peering at the small conjured appetizers. They look like a good, healthy snack. He, of course, has out a small book, documenting among local floral entries to see if he can pinpoint which it might be, or a yet unwritten kind of plant! And of course sampling it as well.
"So! How do you all fare as of late?" he asks his fellow Veruni. "Hah, I don't get to see out out of armor too often, Amaterasu! Glad you could relax this day." He continues to sample this small delecacies, trying to estimate their recipe. "What interesting locations lay beyond this river, little miss?" he asks Lunata.

Amaterasu hails them.
Lunata has this twinge inside her head as she inquires about the fabled waitress training and she immediately glares towards Kaguya for a split-second. She thinks of what to say.
"I was once a waitress, but I have now become a chef. I prepared everything we'll be dining on today. Please, have some--"
Kaguya asks if they're meatless, and Lunata squints for a moment then advises: "There are some dishes with meat in them, but we have prepared vegetarian and vegan options as well..."
oh crap did i?? asks inner-Lunata. She didn't get any memos about dietary requirements...
And then Ambrosius is scanning the chips. It's kinda high on fat and carbs, as a root vegetable deep-fried in oil... but at least it's high on monounsaturated fats and has zero trans fats.
"Hello, Mister Ambrosius. It's been a while, I hope you'll enjoy the meal," she nods.
She's trying soooo hard to keep that hospitality voice up. It sucks.
And finally, Elvis-- "Ah, it's an appetiser from the lotus root, which grows plenty here on the Moonflow's banks. I've designed a menu based on local produce, something the residents of this river are proud of," she explains.
"If that is everyone, we can depart--"
"W-waaaait!"
A little figure in a blue robe and straw hat and a black matte helmet currently displaying a glowing ~_~ emoji runs up the ramp, panting.
It's the Minder!
"I--I made it... whewwww..." she grumps. "Ugh! CR-S01 got sent to the frontlines but she told me to stay put! I--I can't believe the nerve... it's not like I'm worried about her or anything..."

It has been some time since they have all been in the same place. Sentinel Elvis, Ambrosius, her sister. But this day, they come not to fight.
No, they come here to eat.
Though she does glance towards Elvis' stack of notes, then down at her own gauntlets, and smile distantly.
"Do not worry. I did make note of our dietary needs in advance," she says to her sister.
She looks then Ambrosius' way. "I see then you know the waitress as well--"
Lunata explains. ...Sort of. No longer 'waitress' but... chef...
An odd, pensive glint of excitement lights in Amaterasu's strange green eyes. "I see. I see..."
Somehow, against the odds, Amaterasu eventually does stop chewing on the lotus chips and refrains from spoiling her appetite. "I am no cook myself, but I must ask you for the recipe for these. I had not thought the roots of flowers to be so delicious."
Then, before they are all away--
"No. 7? What are you-- ...I see. No, come aboard. You have been working hard, too." Her gaze flicks back to Lunata. "She may need accomodations." Such as--?! "Do you have any straws?" ...oh.
Amaterasu regards the gelatins before her with a warrior's eye. "These are..." she proclaims, a ferocious look in her eyes--
"...sweets. I will pass," Amaterasu says, handing her plate over to her sister. "I do not have much of a taste for sweets."

"I have...been well... Sentinel..." Ambrosius replies to Elvis with a polite incline of his head. "Thank you..."
Ambrosius regards the device in his hand for a moment before nodding. Whatever it showed, the results seem satisfactory as he then begins to partake, though he does pause to offer Lunata a nod.
"Iiindeed it has... Thank you... I am ceeertain... I shall..." He replies politely, before looking toward Amaterasu.
"Iiindeed... we have met...a few tiiimes...in the past..." He explains. And then he pauses, as a certain tiny figure arrives. He greets her with a polite nod of his head.
"No. 7... I am glad you could make it..." He replies.
As the meal continues, it leads into a series of desserts? Sweets, this early...what a bizarre meal.
Ambrosius very carefully picks into them, mindful of the particulars of each one. They all seemed very unique, and had their own attributes, after all...
He does pause, however, to take a drink. If it wasn't Gounon's Apple Wine, then there was really only one beverage of choice for him - a glass of nice, clean, pure water.

"The Spirans have inspired me in ways I couldn't have thought of in Filgaia," Lunata explains to Amaterasu. "Like you, I didn't think a flower root could be so delicious either... they truly make use of everything they can."
And that's genuine - she really appreciates the way different cultures make food of things.
The Minder lets out a breath and looks up to Amaterasu, lighting up as she sits next to her and Kaguya. She's smiling at Ambrosius as well. ... fortunately she doesn't need a toddler seat.
"W-wow, those look super tasty! A-and, um--" She rummages through her pockets.
"If I remember which Flans beat which, I'll get 25 Black Mage Points for Xiumei!"
... Black Mage Points?
Lunata does acquiesce to Amaterasu's suggestion for straws, as the Minder lifts one of the flans up and--
*bweee*
--a little square panel flips on the surface of her helmet and she sticks the straw to it. Slurp...
"Mmmm!! It's so tashhtyyy!" the Minder explodes, like any child having treats.

See? Politeness. Kaguya of course looks to Ambrosius's Multi-Tool appraisingly, with the curiousity of a girl who has never had to worry about calories in her entire life, thus possibly disproving the idea of a just world in one fell swoop.
She always has a plan, though.
"Oh, hey," she says, over a glance at Elvis's notes, to the Minder. "Of course you're not," she agrees easily.
"The path of the waitress can be a long one," Kaguya says, with seriousness, nodding along. "But Lunie always was good at cooking..."
A grin. "Yeah I like these. Not a lot of places really appreciate how roots can be, you know? But you really have the knack. I'll have to see the plants you sourced from, get some samples." A beat, "Hmm..."
But then--
Flans. Kaguya looks at them, and pauses. She tilts her head. "Hey..."
Pause. "Well that's fine, Minder and I will accept the terrible responsibility of eating your share. Sec."
Kaguya, her soldiers might note, doesn't actually eat terribly much. But in this case she reaches into her bag, and pulls--
Is that a Remedy that she's sprinkling Ether on??? Either way she downs the resultant concoction and then nods firmly. "Okay now I'm good. Better count quick, Minder! Because I'm not leaving them long...!"

It feels good to relax around good company. One day, they wont need to do such forays, and they can chase their own dreams rather than survival. But small moments like these are to be cherished. It eases the burden he carries. "Of course!" he offers heartily toward Ambrosius. And a kind nod to Amaterasu, as well!
"What is that strange... Wait have I seen that model before?" Elvis says, squinting. Was that a Veruni production model? Was it Kaguya's? Ambrosious get another unit?
The Sentinel peers at what is summoned before them, though the distant din of battle causes him to look up for a small time. "Definitely sweets, but looks like... some kind of pairing dish? Much like cheese and wines, I would assume." Liekwise Elvis is not one for sweets, but he would be happy to sample. "Perhaps the coloring helps somehow..." he muses, taking a utensil to try a small dab of each and pairing them together to test the results. "It is always good to find new and remarkable things to use in everyday like! I am actually searching the lands to do just that, myself!" he comments toward Lunata.
Also help the Guard in their conquests, but that is a story for another time. Also not necessarily his main goal. "Indeed, her cooking in Arctica was quite filling!" he adds in with Kaguya's comment on the powers of Lunie's culinarian powers.
...Are those actually powers? Might as well be. Elvis also just watches... Kaguya down medicines and sweets at once?! Masking the taste of medicine??? HOW DIABOLICAL.

"Black Mage Points?" Amaterasu echoes. "Who is... Xiumei?"
This may not end well?
Hopefully there's no actual Flan (or gelatin, for Kaguya's sake) involved here.
Amaterasu simply hands hers on over to her sister, who, with the help of the Minder (and a miracle of modern pharmacology) manage to polish off that set.
...Though, are all these flans this early on a little too much for the Minder...?
As it turns out, water is the perfect accompaniment to so many little sweets, and Ambrosius finds that they are hardly so sweet as to overwhelm the palate. In fact they are... refreshing.
Most of Elvis' attempts at pairing, meanwhile, go over well.
The Yellow Jelly (lemon) and the Purple Bavarois (taro) ...
...not so much.
Amaterasu, for her part, sits and observes, taking in the food by the eyes rather than the mouth.

"A thought-provoking dish, these make!" Elvis says, sampling small bits together. Each is its own flavor, but when put together, make entirely new kinds! Like a variable math equation with multiple answers!

And then, with the small smoon his his motuh, just stops moving. His lips visibly pucker tightly around the untensil in his mouth. "I don't think those two are suppose to go together..." he ekes out. A look down at the tray. But they were right next to each other!!!
The man quickly reaches a giant hand into a satchel and fetches a sealed thermos, quickly taking chugs out of it with eyes watering. "ICK," he says with the look someone might have if they bit into a stick of chalk. "Bad picks for me on that... though like other pairings, not everything goes well together. Most of these do, though!"
He tries to put on a brave face, but it is obvious he can still taste it. Perhaps the next dish can help remedy that!
Actually, the next dish may be suited for cleansing the palette of previous flavors, or for those with weak constitutions, just remove your taste buds altogether so you can't taste it!
The Magic Pot begins to rumble upon its display, with magical flames outing from its mysterious opening! Out rain numerous peppers, on fire briefly as they fly and settling into conjured bowls full of a sause primarily made of simmer yak's milk cheese and Ronso spices.
The strength of the peppers makes one's eyes water being even near the dish. Dare you down a dish fit for even the fabled Ifrit?!
Elvis will sure try! "Ho... that is gonna be strong, he says, picking up his first with the fork, and raising it up. "Did you cook all these?" he asks Lunata, before taking a bite.

"H-hey, I'm not some kind of production model?!" the Minder whines at Elvis. She must be around the exact same age as Carol, come to think of it. "I'm Minder number Seven! I'm a proud Veruni! J-just..." She glances aside. "I have to wear this enviro suit because of the Factor."
She doesn't let that wear her down though, because she's lit up at Kaguya's use of the medicines. "W-what does that do?" She looks like she's somewhat familiar just because of how many meds she has to take.
She also turns to Amaterasu and beams innocently. "Xiumei was going to teach me board games! She also told me if I study hard about the ways of Black Mages, which I'm dressed like... maybe I can use some magic some day!"
Lunata scratches her cheek and looks towards Elvis, saying, "Oh-- thanks. That was quite a while ago..." A pause, as she nods. "Let me know if you find anything else -- I might just be able to cook something tasty."
She looks up as the next dish comes up, and her expression gets a bit nostalgic and sorrowful.
"... yeah," Lunata answers, the hospitality facade slipping a bit. "I made it in memory of my mom-- Emma, not Meredin. ... I miss her a lot."
The Minder looks intimidated. "I--I don't do well with spicy... I'll have to pass on this!"
Lunata closes her eyes, palming a little sphere she got long ago in Luca that's served as a meditation device. Or maybe it literally unlocks sphere grid paths.
"This one's in honour of the people who taught me along the way," she explains, and takes her own spoonful of chilli.

Ambrosius looks between Elvis and the Minder. Come to think of it, they've never met in person before, have they? He doesn't comment on the Black Mage points.
"She is the current Minder...for Priiisoner CR-S01..." He explains, and then nods as the Minder speaks up. "Iiindeed...she has been...a vaaaluable member of the team..."
He does not mention, in current company, that the prisoner Yue happens to be a good friend of his.
The next dish is looking to be a rather spicy one. Burning hot, in fact, if the flames emanating from the Magic Pot are any indication.
"I see...this one...tests the liiimits of ones durabilities..." He considers. He draws out another device - this one serving as a utensil to help him portion out the dish cautiously. If he's not careful, he might find himself overwhelmed by the spice...

"Xiumei..." Amaterasu repeats. "A Spiran? Minder, there is no need for you to learn magic from the ones here. Soon you will be of age to learn your own magic. I am sure that you will have a good teacher," she affirms with a shake of her head.
And then-- the next dish arrives before them.
"Ah, this..." Amaterasu breathes it in the scent of it. "...this is a dish worthy of a warrior," she declares, lifting her fork. Beads of sweat have begun to prick across her brow, proof positive of the heat that the Emma, Dat's She has to offer the lot of them. But Amaterasu does not waver.
"Minder, if you do not want your portion... then I will take it." She had passed on the last course.
Surely by now, with her metabolism, she must be quite hungry...
Amaterasu lifts a fork. Then, drawing upon the module installed in her gauntlets -- there is a waver of purplish force in the air -- she digs in, precisely as if she were thus wading into battle.
But a struggle against a dish like this is a form of battle, one with a fork as the weapon...!

It's fine! Super fine. Kaguya's mega fine.
"Yeah," Kaguya agrees on reflection. "It's interesting to consider the contrast of each flavor together. It gives a real sense of presence and dynamism." No nameplate appears at the bottom of the screen, but one can imagine.
"Anti-nausea," Kaguya explains to the Minder. "Though it also results in it being easier to use magic for longer. Funny, right?" She does not comment as to the Factor. Or the enviro suit, which she definitely doesn't wear. Not directly, anyway. "Maybe you can use magic, though. You'll have to make sure to get as many points as you can." Not quite what Mat said, is it? "Learning other techniques can make you better at using ours, though--the more you know, the more you can compare and improve. Like take me--I'm a Green Mage... but I might award you some points sometime..."
"A laugh. "Ahahah, you win some you lose some," she tells the Professor... And next up--oooh the spicy. There's a double feature here. On the one hand, Kaguya enjoys spicy food. On the other hand, it's not exactly very good for her...
Okay that's like, a super understatement. Regardless--when has taste, good sense, or wisdom stopped Kaguya??? So naturally she eyes it for a moment as she listens... And then says, to Lunata, thoughtfully--"...Yeah?" Kaguya asks, and someone could swear that she actually sounds... nice. Or at least gentler. Like she might even care. "She's probably too crazy to be too hurt, back there, right?" she offers, though there's no venom in the assessment at all.
But then--"Well if you're passing, then I'll have to challenge it! But hmm... Let's see, if it's like this... Ronso live in the cold..."
Kaguya considers--and then reaches into her stuff. She pulls a clear blue Potion and then cracks the stones that contain the Antarctic Wind over it, re-capping and pulling a--Yep. That's a bomb. One of her strange plastic green-blinking bombs. She pops open the casing and holds the bottle against the insides for a moment before she shakes it to mix, re-caps the bomb, and puts it away. Downing the whole thing at once--
"Okay now I'll try. Here goes!!"
It... probably won't do her physical harm. Probably. ...Whatever the bomb did...

Elvis pauses for a second befor biting down upon hearing the Minder. "Oh! My apologies! I meant the suit you wore. And fully understandable as to why you wear it!"
The peppers, despite appearing well cooked and soaked in the complimenting cheese, has incredible crunch still to it.
And they. are. hot. Think of the hottest food you have had before. Then magically enhance it with fire. Amaterasu may have had something similar, perhaps even made for her for endurance training, considering how well she dowsn the peppers liek a champ.
Lunata will of course find the dish prepared just to her liking! No deviations from flavor, peak spicy that lasts just as long as expected, with savory aftertones to help counteract the blistering pepper.flavor.
Ambrosius' and Kaguya's tools are perfect to lessen the fiery force their mouths would have to endure. They last much less time than expected, with the water ether magic of the aqua cutter snuffing the fire magic aspect, and Kaguya's just outright removing it.
Elvis... doesn't get so lucky. There is a crunch, and a gout of fire from his mouth, reacting with his ether magic. "WOW!" he says, reaching for something, anything to drink. "That's hotter than Persephone's fire when she is mad!!!"
Rushing for drinks causes the palanquin to rock some on the Shoopuf's back, but he finally manages to get some more water, At least enough to settle himself down.
His face is super red though. "I-I'm okay. Next!"

Served in a heart-shaped platter is a wide variety of berries, with a light sprinkling of sugar and decorated with leaves. It's really quite a heartwarming sight.
Ambrosius chuckles good-naturedly at the sight of it.
"It is...an aeeesthetically pleeeasing dish..." He compliments, before very carefully trying some. It's a dish that's meant to be eaten quickly, but he was never very good at doing things quickly.

In spite of herself -- and their respective ranks -- Amaterasu cannot help but smile in faint amusement, even if it is at the Sentinel's discomfort. "Easy now, Sentinel. This dish is a bold one indeed."
...She says, having finished off her own and Minder's. She's broken a sweat, sure enough, but has otherwise not even batted an eye.
"I have not eaten a dish that potent in many years," she remarks. "My compliments. I see that your training extends even to the culinary arts..."
Maybe someday Amaterasu may learn what the word 'waitress' means. But that day is not today.

It's in the aftermath of that dish that they are treated with a rare romantic sight.
...Even a career soldier can be moved to smile at such a thing, it seems. "How cute," Amaterasu remarks.
Before the pot produces the next dish.
Amaterasu tries a little. "It is sweet, but the sweetness of fruit is different," she remarks, crossing her legs under the table. As if as a precaution against one of the Shoopufs getting a little frisky and potentially setting them -- and the booth -- into motion and jostling the perfect arrangement of fruits, she then kicks out one booted foot for the table support and holds it there.
Sticky soles work more than one way.

The Minder gawks as she stammers, "T-t-the shoopufs are smooching, CR--"
A pause, as she looks. Oh right, she's not here... She looks kind of sad for a moment. Aww...
Kaguya pulls out a bomb and then uncaps it and drinks the insides. "Somehow I'm... so used to you that doesn't even register to me on the scale of 'surprise'. Is that bad?" Lunata asks. Then on the topic of Emma: "... she's absolutely going to just bomb anyone who messes with her, true."
Amaterasu comments that she hasn't eaten a dish that potent. "Aheh... it's really my Aunt Hilda who taught me about chillies," she remarks. She winces a bit as Elvis begins to react, however.
She hands him a glass of milk.
Lunata coughs for a moment and wipes her mouth, looking towards Ambrosius as she looks away. "It's date food, definitely, but ... ... still haven't worked up the courage to invite her here," she mumbles, being COMPLETELY unaware that Jay is the Mysterious Gourmet. Still.
Some people are called to Destiny. Lunata is called to Density instead.
The Minder looks excited as she says, "... wow, this is really pretty. I'm almost sad scooping it out..." as she takes her own little portion.

Kaguya cheats. ...She's good at cheating! She takes pride in it. And now--
Well now she laughs a little at Elvis's antics. Or maybe at his pain. It's kind of hard to say which. It's good-natured, though--he does remain her favorite old Professor, after all. But suddenly... Suddenly a slow, and--
"..." Kaguya watches the two shoopufs for a moment--and then the heart-shaped platter appears. The small Veruni (but not smallest! Thanks Minder) looks at them for a moment, and then sorta looks through them. The berries, that is.
She doesn't smile at all these nice sights, actually. Instead...
Kaguya glances to Lunata again, after a moment. "...That's fair."
Then a glance down, instead. "...Yeah, you know? You're right, Minder. Can't make myself do it. You'll have to take my share. I've got... some more medicine to take, anyway."
Kaguya digs around in her things, but this time she doesn't bring out any exciting or strange combinations. Just some of her pre-mixed stuff, to help offset... things.

Still cooling his jets after the last dish, Elvis is rather pleased overall with how... interactive this meal is. Despite the sour tastes and the fire, oh the fire, he seems to be having a good time! Also a good belly full of food. "Yeah, I tend to forget I am not as young as I used to be, haha!" he comments toward Amaterasu. She of course handles the dish just fine! Perhaps it has something to do with ehter attunement. Hum!
Elvis graciously accepts the glass of milk and downs it quickly. It soothes the throat quite well! "Why thank you!" he says politely. "I would be very interested to hear how those peppers were enhanced sometime for my research."
Another shoopuf passes closeby, and after interactions, another place is produced! "Oh, another sweet based dish! This one being more healthy sweets. Natural sugars." This particular dish seems a good type to take your time with, though with all these berries, the coating of sugar will draw the moisture out and surely make it all sticky. Would be best to be careful not to get sticky hands or stains on his coat!
A momentary glance to Kaguya when she does not partake, before he continues to portion out his own to try. "This device is quite interesting, that is producing the food! Seems quite unique, procuring one somewhere could be beneficial." Did someone make it or was it found? Is there a famous Magic Pot potter somewhere, creating these?

The sun is cozily setting to a gentle golden gleam in the distance. A dessert would truly be perfect to finish the entire meal off, before you go. And to that end, the Magic Pot retracts one final time and... Not terribly long ago, there was a muisterious reporter who wrote about the wonders of the treats provided at the Shoopuf waystations. Apparently, the kindly bakers and patissierie that supply the Shoopuf Degustation Course has seen it fit to provide a little homage in turn, in the form of a specially-crafted set of dango. Normally a grilled series of glutinous rice balls set upon skewers glazed with a delicious salty-sweet sauce known as mitarashi... These particular ones are printed to have the expression of someone who is truly discovering the human emotion of lazing around, mui. The muitarashi dango is taking it easy. Do you dare finish it, with its surprisingly hard, crunchy exterior? =Dungeon Conditions: Hesitate=================================================

Ambrosius takes note of the sad look that briefly crosses over the Minder.
"I am ceeertain...she would appreeeciate hearing about it..." He offers.
There's a faint smile as he notes that even Amaterasu seems to approve of the sight of the Shoopuf.
And then, they all dig in - with the exception of Kaguya, who decides to give her share to the Minder. Because she has medicine to take, of course.
There's no real difficulties partaking of the food - everyone clears their portion without difficulty, in part thanks to Amaterasu keeping the table stabilized. It's quite delicious!
Ambrosius studies Lunata for a brief moment as she mumbles about not having the courage to invite someone here. He doesn't comment on it, though, feeling wholly uncertified to talk about dates and romance.
"Iiindeed, it is curious..." Ambrosius comments, with a glance over toward Elvis as he considers the Magic Pot.
Eventually, the two Shoopuf eventually release each other, and the Hypello chaffeur is eventually able to coax theirs into getting moving once more - though it's slow going.

Elvis and Ambrosius express some interest in the Magic Pot. "Oh, yeah... technically this is a Fiend," she explains. "But they don't have much appetite for fighting -- they run on Ethers, strangely enough. We're using them to deliver food straight from the kitchen to the shoopufs in the midst of their voyages. It's kinda ... magical..."
The Minder is gawking at this now, just noticing the face on the Magic Pot.
"Okay," she answers Kaguya. "CR-S01 says I shouldn't eat so much or I'll get a tummyache, but... fruit is fine."
But then the Magic Pot slides out another, final course of food...

She gazes at it, taking in the face.
"..."
"...So this is the power of a waitress turned chef..." she murmurs, her brow furrowing. They can even command a Fiend and make it do their bidding...
Of making tasty food. But still.
With a gentle jerk of her leg, Amaterasu peels her boot away. It seems as the the two would-be lovers in this space of the river will now for a time have to separate. Life is cruel...!
But the pot, for them, has one more course.
Mi--
Er, muitarashi dango.
Amaterasu dips a gauntletted finger into the sauce, then samples it.
"Hmm."
It's a delicate sweetness, but... still.
"I believe I must pass, even on the last course. Fruit is enough sweetness for me," she says, and in her hand -- the hand encased in a softly glowing gauntlet -- she holds out her dango for someone else to try.

Upon the revelation of what the Magic Pot is, Elvis gazes upon it with deeper scrutiny. "Fascinating..." An ironbound tome is pulled out immediately as the Fiend is sketched and added to what looks like some kind of forming beastiary. "Non-violent. Certainly a first in this land."

The man takes a portion, and steeling himself for the final course, digs in! "I think I have had something like this before sent from Merla Boule? An excellent filling dish." He hopes this food is compatible with their palattes. Each attempt at human food can end poorly if not careful.

"A Fiiiend...? Iiimpressive...to have utiiilized its taaalents in such a faaashion..." Ambrosius considers. That took some talent, truly.
And then, as the sun starts to set, the Magic Pot produces a final course - a dessert, this time, with a lazy expression printed on it.
The exterior looks to be surprisingly durable...but Ambrosius is not one to be deterred. He takes his share, carefully and meticulously dismantling it.
It really is quite delicious, though. He looks toward Lunata then as she grumbles...and offers her a slight, sympathetic smile.
"Sometimes...that is the most difficult thing of all, I find." He comments.

"Huh. A fiend," Kaguya repeats. "...That's pretty cool," she's forced to conclude after a moment. "It kinda suits you, Lunie. Definitely your style." ...Is... is she getting the wrong impression??? She might be. But Kaguya glances at the Minder and then adds, "Maybe this, too... is worth a few points..."
Pause. "Sure. If it's too much, let me know, all right?"
But here--here... Kaguya looks upon these lazing muitarashi dango. it looks... comfortable. Casual. With no cares in the world. Lazing around...
"...It makes mui want to chomp it," Kaguya declares quietly, seeming not to realizer for the moment that she's talking. She reaches out--Takes her sister's extra. And then--
She brings forth the most beautiful silk and gold-embrodiered cloth napkin for miles, the sort of cloth that inherently makes any moment fancier. She drapes it over her hand, to keep the sauce from dripping just in case--or--or is that why?? because she pulls back out her bomb, and sets it on her lap, and--
...And, apparently, uses it as a stand for the one she isn't eating yet, just slots it right into one of the little hollows in the chassis.
CHOMP. She bites with sharp teeth the first of the dango. This level of comfy...
Cannot be tolerated.
