  • Summary: Riesenlied attempts to sneak away from Noeline and Odjn in search of hair dye from Jacqueline when... a curious individual appears!!

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

It's been a while since the Drifters were returned to Filgaia; Riesenlied has had a few adventures since, but mostly she's been trying to calm down with Noeline following the news that... well, the Fereshte didn't come with them.

Riesenlied is at the Thames today, given her propensity to try to keep up with the news; she's still not terribly used to how bustling and raucous the atmosphere is, despite it being rather similar to Wayside village.

But that's not all -- she's caught wind that at least some of the Caravan Kinship is here, and she's trying to find Jacqueline on her own (!!) to ask her a favour.

... not that she's terribly stealthy, wheelchair and all, but what could be so important she'd try to sneak out on her own?!

A barrel nearby pops open as the littlest dragon peeks on out. "Suspicious..." she mumbles, possibly next to another Hyadean next to her.

<Pose Tracker> Noeline has posed.

The figure hunkered down behind Odjn's barrel is not as stealthy as she could be. Once upon a time, Noeline would have had no problems with disappearing into the shadows - but as she is now she's a little more used to being out in the open, especially around the Thames where she's enjoying playing up her Crimson Noble presence once more.

She can't help but feel a little guilty for following Riese like this. It's a bit of a complicated feeling. She's genuinely got the best of intentions - honest concern for Riesenlied's health and state of mind, and a desire to ensure that nothing happens to her. On the other hand, she genuinely trusts her partner to be able to look after herself, or at least enough so to call for her over their link if something happens that needs her to be at Riesenlied's side.

On the other other hand, she's slowly turning into a small vibrating ball of curiosity.

"Is this really alright?" she huffs to the little dragon, grumbling bashfully to herself as her mind spools over several possibilities. "I'm still not sure if we should be following her like this. She's probably just going to get a refill of her medicine, or something."

<Pose Tracker> Jacqueline Barber has posed.

Jacqueline Barber was a frequent visitor to the Thames. Its location meant there were people from all over, so there was a constant flow of goods and information from around the world. It was a convenient place to return to, particularly if there was anything ever in need of repair or maintenance. She had worked out a few deals that made things convenient for everyone.

And so it is that, amongst the stalls and tents set up throughout the Thames' market, there is a familiar tent - brightly colored and bearing the logo of the Caravan Kinship.

As one might expect, Jacqueline is there - seated in the shade of her tent behind a stall packed with potions and other various goods. There are a few tables and chairs set up in the shade, though at the moment there's no one occupying them.

Jacqueline herself can be found paging through what looks to be a weathered, leatherbound tome. ...Close examination reveals it be something of a mix between a spellbook and a cookbook. She pauses, though, as she catches movement out of the corner of her eye - and the book is shut quickly as she spots a familiar face.

"Riese!" Jacqueline says with a gasp of surprise, her expression brightening. "You made your way here too?"

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

"Well, I'm sure she has a ..." Odjn pauses, as she kind of bobble-thrums around the barrel she might or might not have gotten stuck into. "... an adequate reason. It's probably going to be a bit silly and we're going to tell her she shouldn't have worried about nothing and we'll hug and make up."

Riesenlied definitely hasn't noticed Noeline because noticing physical things isn't her forte; she stops by Jacqueline's tent with a gasp, as she hurriedly-pushes herself over on her wheelchair with a wave.

"I-- I did," Riesenlied stammers. "... Noeline and I." A longer pause, as her voice cracks a little. "The Fereshte is still in Spira, we think."

She also looks... a bit different. The first, most noticeable thing is... that her hair is all-white now; gone is the formerly ashen blonde colour. The scales seem to have creeped their way up a little too.

"I wanted... to ask," she stammers, bashfully. "Do you sell... hair dye? Um. Yellow hair dye?"

Odjn's face falls at that.

<Pose Tracker> Noeline has posed.

Noeline creeps a little closer, almost comical in the way she carries Odjn's barrel in front of her - and then she sights Jacqueline's alchemy tent and Riesenlied wheeling her way up to it, and that makes her let out a sigh of relief. The list of people she'd trust wholeheartedly with Riese's health and wellbeing-- well, it's honestly kind of a long list at this point, but Jay is still near the very top of it.

She makes the decision to straighten up, not least because she's getting funny looks from a couple of the Thames workers, then brush herself down and busy herself with looking through a couple of the nearby stalls. "You're probably right. If I had to guess--"

Her ears prick up when she catches the other Hyadean's request. Her face doesn't fall like Odjn's does - but she does puff out a soft breath to herself, hiding a warm and faintly amused smile behind the almanac she's just picked up to look over. "... I thought as much. Honestly... I told her not to worry about something like that."

She catches the little dragon's expression, then taps Odjn on the side with a chuckle. "Something like that is up to her, though. If she wants to try it, I won't begrudge her that."

<Pose Tracker> Jacqueline Barber has posed.

Jacqueline's used to assessing the conditions of those around her - it was an instinctual thing, for someone who commonly carried around healing supplies. She notes how her hair has gone completely white, and the way the scales have begun to creep up.

This is concerning, of course - but Riesenlied says something that's a bit more pressing.

"...Ah, I see. I'm sorry." Jacqueline says, offering her a small smile. "Well...I'm glad the two of you are still together, at least - couldn't imagine you two being separated."

"I'm sure everyone back in Spira is going to be alright - they're a strong bunch. They can take care of themselves until you meet up with them again." She says, trying to reassure her.

And then, Riesenlied makes her request - hair dye. Jacqueline can't say she expected that. It wasn't a common request, but it wasn't unheard of, either.

"I don't usually carry any in stock, but I /do/ have some recipes for it. Did you have a particular hue in mind? I could prepare a few different ones and let you take your pick." She asks. She could hazard a guess what Riesenlied might be look for, though. If she wanted to try it, Jacqueline wasn't going to suggest otherwise.

She pauses for a second, then.

"How have you been? You and Noeline both." She asks.

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Jacqueline reassures her that they'll be all right, even back in Spira -- and Riesenlied wants to rally hard around that statement... "I just... miss my children," she admits. "It is difficult to not..." A pause.

The second request, though--

"Um--"

Riesenlied doesn't sound familiar with what she's asking for, so she timidly picks at the ends of her hair, as if the pale colour might scrape off.

"The... the same hue of colour I used to have?" Riesenlied helplessly suggests. "It happened after I transformed in Macalania. I had to transform to help protect Lombardia against Sin, I..."

A pause.

"I do not want Janey or Mikaia to see what has happened..."

Jacqueline asks how they've both been doing, though. Beat. "I am trying to keep my days full with Noeline, and of course, I am endlessly grateful I have not been separated from her either..." she at least gets distracted from the sadness she's feeling about her hair, rather obviously rosing up in her cheeks. "We went to this festival in Meria Boule. And I met a decades-long term penpal of mine here in the Thames--"

She glances around. Odjn ducks back under the barrel!!

"--she is a grandmotherly matron called Mama Shibe. She's a dog beastwoman. She has sheltered us for the first few days after we arrived. She has a cute granddaughter too..."

<Pose Tracker> Noeline has posed.

Noeline doesn't duck behind anything, because she's always preferred to hide in plain sight, her head down in a book - or at least pretending to be. But when the other Hyadean starts to visibly worry, the sensation of it prickling across her thoughts, she lets out a soft breath and puts the slim volume down.

"I'll be back for that in a little while," she nods with an amicable smile to the shopkeeper, then lets out a light huff of breath as she turns and starts to make for Riesenlied's side. There's a faint nudge at the other Hyadean's mind over their link, then her hand gently comes to rest on her partner's shoulder in support.

"Miss Barber," she greets with a nod and an amused smile on her face. "It's good to see you hale and hearty, or at least close enough. Welcome to my second home," she adds, and perhaps she's being a little grandiose about it to help buoy Riesenlied's spirits, playing up how strange it is for her bombastic nature to be drawn to a place like the Thames.

She pauses, and rubs for a moment at Riese's nape in something like an apology. "... I'm sorry. I couldn't help but sense your distress, and Odjn was rather worried as well," she explains gently, then looks meaningfully towards a completely innocent-looking barrel.

<Pose Tracker> Jacqueline Barber has posed.

"I'd be surprised if you didn't." Jacqueline replies, shaking her head. "I'm sure they miss you too. I know how difficult it can be."

To be separated from one's family by an entire world...it was a painful feeling, and one she knew. The first thing Jacqueline did upon finding herself back in Filgaia - after finally getting some sleep, of course - was make a beeline for the nearest Memory Cube and let her mother know she was okay.

Riesenlied explains her request, and Jacqueline nods.

"That should be easy enough. Are you two staying anywhere in particular? I can have it delivered to you - it should be ready by tomorrow." She says.

She notes, though, how asking about how she's been doing seems to be distracting Riesenlied, so she decides to keep it up.

"A festival in Meria Boule, hm? That sounds fun... maybe I should visit some time." Jacqueline considers. ...Even though she'd technically already been, as the Mysterious Gourmet. But no one could know her secret indentity.

"A penpal, though... she sounds nice!" Jacqueline replies with a bright smile and a good-natured chuckle. "I'm glad you two were able to run into each other - and were able to meet her granddaughter, too."

And that's when Noeline herself arrives. Jacqueline offers her a bright smile and a wave of greeting.

"Noeline! Yes, it's good to see you, as well." She says, and then looks a little surprise. "Oh, your second home? Somehow, I'm not too surprised - this feels like the sort of place you'd enjoy."

It's meant well, of course - this is Jacqueline we're talking about. And then, she gasps.

"Oh! Is Odjn here too?" She asks, following Noeline's gaze to a certain barrel.

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Riesenlied feels that nudge in their link first before she spots Noeline, looking about and-- eventually finally finding her as she introduces Jacqueline to her second home. She looks rather distressed at first, embarrassed second, but then settles down for a moment as she whines, "B-but I thought I snuck out so well...!"

She probably left a very obvious trail bheind...

"Mama Shibe's place is downstairs, she tends to point and guide people around. She said she was okay with keeping anything I had delivered," Riesenlied explains. "If ah--"

She stares back to Noeline. "If that is okay."

Odjn grumps as she floats next to the Crimson Noble, folding her arms and saying, "Of course we are! Geez, sneaking out for a reason like this... but!"

She beams and bows to Jacqueline, sitting down at her table. "Hey Jay! It's been a while! I took an extended bit of leave because of uh..." She glances to Riesenlied again. "Reasons, but when I heard from these two over the Cube, Muni-Muni and I zipped our way over here."

A pause, as she whispers, "We ran out of money, but Muni turned out to be an incredible mascot for the festival over at Meria? She gets to eat as much as she wants."

Rumours of a very bright and bouncy castle have been spreading around, actually...

<Pose Tracker> Noeline has posed.

Noeline is a little red-faced at the talk of penpals. Whyever is that? With a soft huff to herself, she flicks out some of her hair, letting a grin resurface on her face. "It's one of the places I stayed longest at on my original trip west - and when I returned back towards the east, for that matter. I've always enjoyed it for what it is," she adds, "Even if that might seem a little bit unorthodox."

She catches Riesenlied's expression, and lets out a brighter laugh. "Did you really think you'd slip past my senses?" she teases - but softens the next moment. "You did do very well. I just wondered where you were, and followed our link." She's quick to settle into place at her partner's side, blinking just a little at Riesenlied's hesitation.

"... you know my feelings on the matter. Different doesn't mean bad," she echoes what she said down in the underwater ruins of Spira, offering a warm smile. "But at the same time, if you feel you want to try it, I'll support you all the way. It's entirely up to you. ... though, ah, I bet Janey and Mikaia will be able to tell somehow. Still, I think they'd say the same as I would."

She hesitates at Odjn's story, her eyebrows raising. "... what... exactly was your plan to get further, if we hadn't come along when we did?" she wonders in rather a deadpan.

<Pose Tracker> Jacqueline Barber has posed.

Somehow... Jacqueline's not surprised that Noeline would be able to figure out that Riesenlied had snuck out. She doesn't mention this, though, instead nodding as Riesenlied explains where Mama Shibe lives.

"Okay, in that case, I'll give to her to hold for you." Jacqueline says with a nod, before looking toward Noeline. She notes the look on her face at the mention of penpals, but doesn't mention it instead, nodding as she explains about the Thames.

"Ah, I see..." She murmurs with a nod, and then chuckles. "Unorthodox... that seems like a good word for this place, honestly, so that feels about right."

She looks between the two of them, as Noeline tells Riesenlied she'll support her. Jacqueline smiles warmly.

"They /are/ quite sharp." Jacqueline comments.

She looks over to Odjn, then.

"It /has/ been a while...but it's good to see you again, as well!" She says. She can guess what Reasons those might be. "Oh, Muni came with you, too?"

She may indeed have heard these rumors... Jacqueline laughs a little.

"That must be like paradise for her." She says...and then, considers Noeline's question to Odjn. It's...a good question.

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Odjn has a very long, delayed pause when Noeline asks the pointed question.

"It would not be the first time Muni has pretended to be a rolled up carpet in cargo and squished me inside of her," she relates with a look of glum horror on her face.

Riesenlied whines in turn as Noeline teases her, but then puffs up proudly when she reassures she did very well. Does she really believe that?! -20 to Stealth Riesenlied...

"Many many years ago, when Noeline struck out west on her own," Riesenlied shares with Jacqueline after glancing towards Noeline, since she started talking about her journey. "I desperately wanted to stay in touch and know how she was doing. I did not know if she would ever return, after all. So I wrote to people, through Elru, to Adlehyde, then Krosse, and Jolly Roger... I made a chain of penpals over decades."

She smiles a bit wistfully. "I only ever got to see these places in these last two years, but I imagined a lot what being part of that world would be like. And I have been in touch with Mama Shibe since she was young... and now, I get to be here to experience it myself with Noeline."

The Hyadean laces hands as she looks up to her partner, clinging tighter. "Because we aren't going to dwell on the past, but move on together..."

This beautiful moment that nearly sparkles with heartwarming radiation between them is nearly undercut when--

A tiny dog -- golden and brown in fur, and terribly round-faced -- of a beastwoman crops up from the bottom frame, wearing... wearing... not a lavish and fanciful Crimson Noble gown, but a cute priestess' robe and croissants taped to a headband over her head.

"I'm Reesenleed!" she exclaims.

<Pose Tracker> Noeline has posed.

"It's been a while," Noeline remarks before Odjn's comment, chuckling to herself. "But it's honestly good to see them both again, Odjn and Muni both. Particularly with the Fereshte yet to meet up with us," she picks her words carefully, squeezing Riesenlied's hand as she does so, "It's been good to have some company and support."

Then she just raises her eyebrows up at Odjn, smirking quietly as she snorts. "You could have just asked Val to spot you some, surely. But I've heard of worse ways to go stowing away, I suppose. You're lucky she didn't have to imimate a giant fish and get stuck in a net to be pulled on board."

Really, Noeline just lives for the moments when Riesenlied puffs up proudly, and watches as her partner's horns surely wiggle happily. "... to be honest, I still can't describe how humbled I was to learn you were doing something like that. Really, it makes me feel all the more childish--..." she starts to grumble good-naturedly, but cuts herself off when Riese clings to her, nodding as she also sets that feeling from the past aside.

And instead gets to blink in sheer surprise. "--ah--" she blurts with a puff of air, then smirks as she plants a hand on her hip, immediately hamming it up. "Hmph! I see the glory of the Crimson Noble has been cast aside, in favour of the majesty of the shaman!"

<Pose Tracker> Jacqueline Barber has posed.

"W-well, I'm glad Muni is resourceful, at least..." Jacqueline comments, then looks toward Noeline.

"...I imagine. I'm glad that you all were able to meet up." She says.

Riesenlied recounts her tale, then - how, when Noeline went west, Riesenlied made a chain of penpals in order to keep in touch and know how she was doing.

"That's...quite romantic, really." Jacqueline replies with a warm smile - and, a friendly chuckle as Noeline begins to grumble. And as Riesenlied says, now the two of them can experience it together. "I'm glad. That must feel wonderful - being able to see it for yourself after so long, and togehter as well..."

...And, it isn't long before someone else appears - an adorable little dog beastwoman calling herself 'Reesenleed', and dressed for the part. Jacqueline sends Riesenlied a brief, knowing smile, before looking back toward 'Reesenleed'.

"Well, hello, Riesenlied! I'm Jacqueline - nice to meet you!" She says, greeting her warmly. And judging from Noeline's statement, she must have been Noeline before...

Jacqueline can't help but find that adorable.

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Riesenlied giggles as Jacqueline calls it romantic, and then she leans in just a little bit closer as she looks up towards her. "You make it sound like I was doing some elaborate, grand scheme, but as a young girl I was just... writing, and writing, and writing, dreaming with every step my letters reached further west."

... which sounds rather elaborate, despite how she tries to play it down.

But!!

Reesenleed toothily grins as her little dog-ears flap and she puts her hands to her waist. "Hee hee, that's right! I'm a mighty shaman of, of... Odor Yuck!" A pause, as she doesn't sound like she has it right, but continues right on as she playfully goads at Noeline. "Fear me, Crimson Noble, or I might shoot my mighty rays at you!"

Riesenlied's horns flop a little -- and 'Reesenleed' flops her croissants down before one breaks off and she just gobbles it up for lunch.

The little dog-woman looks up towards Jacqueline, beaming as she says, "Jackeleen? Are you a friend of Riese and Noeline? Wow! You have a lot of things here! Sell me something?"

Uh oh.

By the glint in her eye, it won't be long before there's a Jackleeen Barbeer, the most powerful merchant in the world...

<Pose Tracker> Noeline has posed.

"A very long-term sort of romantic. I only learnt about this after-- how many decades must it have been?" she wonders to Riesenlied, because even if the letters took a lot of time to come to and fro, that just reinforces how long the other Hyadean must have been writing and sending them." She obviously picks up on how dreamlike her partner's explanation is, because she's chuckling quietly to herself as she leans in and places a kiss on Riesenlied's forehead.

It's impossible to say any more, though, because then she's recoiling in horror. "... gasp!" she calls, hands up in front of her face as she steps backwards. "The light of Odor Yuck..." There's a pause for dramatic effect, then smirks from behind her arms. "Hmph! Such a thing won't stop a Crimson Noble's power!" So saying, she's scooped up the girl under the arms, pulling her around into a lazy swing before setting her back down.

"Jay's a famous alchemist," she advises. "Whatever you want her to mix, she'll make it. Plus," she lowers her voice in the tone of someone who understands what certain types of kids want to hear, giving Riesenlied a brief wink as her smile tugs wider. "She can make mountains just appear right out of the ground."

Straightening up to let that sink in, she slips back to Riesenlied's side, sniggering happily as she squeezes the other woman's hand and tries to coax those horns back up. "Oh, and we mustn't forget either - you haven't met Odjn yet, have you?" Noeline wonders aloud. Uh oh, times two...!

<Pose Tracker> Jacqueline Barber has posed.

Jacqueline laughs good-naturedly, at that.

"That's the beauty of it, I think. You were following your heart and your dreams, and that's the most important thing of all." She replies, and looks toward Noeline as she offers her own input.

She watches good-naturedly as Reesenleed and Noeline banter and play good-naturedly, and then nods when she asks about her.

"That's right - we've been friends for a little while now. They've helped me out of quite a few jams." Jacqueline replies with a nod...and, a sheepish chuckle as Noeline gives an explanation of her own.

"...Well, people do say I have a solution for every problem..." Jacqueline jokes with a wink. ...She's not sure if the meaning of the pun will get through, but it's worth a shot. "Mountains, though..."

Jacqueline laughs, but doesn't deny it for Reesenleed's benefit. But, she wants her to sell her something, hm...

"Well, what are you in the market for? I've got medicines to cure aches and pains, potions to help boost one's strength..." She pushes a plate of pumpkin cookies into view. "...And treats, too."

She's been putting that cookspellbook to good use.

"I don't do this for everyone, but for a mighty shaman like you, I could let any of these go for a good price..." Jacqueline says. "Just let me know what you want!"

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

"More than ... eight decades," Riesenlied puts things into context. It's something that perhaps brings to mind the difference in context of their lives -- that Riesenlied would keep fervently writing to keep in touch with someone she was in love with, and to keep hope that she could someday she a world she couldn't...

She has that kiss on her forehead, and her eyelashes flutter softly as she chuckles and watches the two of them play, giggling.

"M-mountains! Wow! Show me, Miss Jackleen!" exclaims 'Reesenleed', though it seems like her grandmother insists on putting a little sticker that reads 'Hi, my name is Nana Shibe' just so that if she gets lost, people can find her.

She lights up further as Jacqueline boasts that she has a solution for every problem! And offers cureaches and potions and--

  • sniff sniff*

"I want a cookie," 'Reesenleed' answers immediately. "Hee hee... I got a discount! Go me!"

A blink at Noeline's comment, though. "Who's Odjn?" just as Jacqueline notices one of her pots clattering as the little dragon tries to hide.

... has she sensed, perhaps, that this little spitfire of a beastgirl might just yank her cheeks? (Yes, she totally would.)

<Pose Tracker> Noeline has posed.

"Of course, Jay tends to end up in a few too many jams than she really ought to," Noeline shoots back, her expression drawn down into an amused deadpan as she gazes across at the alchemist and folds her arms. "It's laudable, I suppose, but I do wonder sometimes." She could add in a tease about Jay and discounts, too, but lets that part of it rest with another light chuckle.

"... eight decades," echoes Noeline, still feeling just a little guilty even though she's looking forwards rather than back. The last of the stack of letters she's seen floats through her mind, and an idea presents itself; quietly, she resolves to keep a look out for a pen and some decent paper.

But for now, she seems content to remain at Riesenlied's side. "After this, would you like to take a stroll around the market?" she suggests as she leans over the handlebars a little, the better to be at Riesenlied's height to share space with her. "It couldn't hurt to keep an eye out for a few things while we're here, and I know a couple of the older stall owners have caught wind of you from Mama."

She hesitates at the sudden movement, and then her gaze drops to a half-lidded one. "... you're really going to hide away like that?" she challenges the open air with a toothy grin. "Really, now. She's perfectly well-behaved, not to mention a mighty and kind shaman."

<Pose Tracker> Jacqueline Barber has posed.

"She's got me there..." Jacqueline says, massaging the back of her neck with a sheepish laugh at Noeline's good-natured jab.

"Eight decades..." Jacqueline replies, sounding awed. It really did put things in perspective. She herself had barely been alive for two.

'Reesenleed' wants to see her make mountains. Jacqueline chuckles sheepishly.

"Well, okay, I wouldn't want to disappoint. Let's see... Where would be..." She murmurs to herself. She scans the area, eventually spotting a section of ground underneath the tent that's fairly clear of both people and things. She doesn't have her gauntlets with her today, so instead she draws out a Crest Graph and invokes its power. Suddenly, a pillar of earth rises from the ground.

And then, 'Reesenlied' - Nana Shibe apparently, Jacqueline notes - makes her decision. She had a feeling that was what she would settle on.

"Let's see...for you, how about a gella each?" Jacqueline decides. And then, conveniently, a single gella coin rolls out from somewhere, bumping into 'Reesenleed's' foot and clattering to the ground.

How did that get there? How mysterious.

Jacqueline does, meanwhile, glance toward one of her pots that is suddenly occupied. And Odjn is now nowhere to be found. Hm, yet another mystery. Jacqueline chuckles to herself.

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Riesenlied idly ponders the idea floating through Noeline's mind, and it makes her think -- perhaps, how wonderful and romantic it might be to finally get a letter from her in return. She doesn't quite voice it, but through their empathic link, it's rather clear she's pretty attracted to such an idea...

"Ah. Yes, I think so," Riesenlied smiles. "It is not too busy, so I am not overwhelmed right now."

The little beastwoman gasps a the earth pillar rising, exclaiming, "A mountain did appear!" She tries to clamber up on it and sit ontop, and afterwards...

Reesenleed perks up again as Jay says a gella -- and then she rummages through a pocket to go, "I have... one gella!!" A pause, as a gella coin rolls out of nowhere, and she gasps. She leans over to pick it up -- probably having to catch herself to avoid her croissant dropping -- and then says, "No, two!"

Odjn quietly remains inside the pot. "A cruel one, I sense..." echoes the pot, out of nowhere. My, Jacqueline has a Magic Pot from Spira?!

<Pose Tracker> Noeline has posed.

Noeline doesn't take any steps to try to protect the thought from Riesenlied's empathic link, perhaps because she knows the thought of it is only the first step in writing and presenting the letter properly. Part of her's already wondering about the best way to send it to Riesenlied for maximum cute surprise, even as the rest of her watches that column of stone jut up from the ground as an impromptu chair.

She nods to her partner's agreement, humming thoughtfully. "Should we take Nana with us? ... I suppose she's fine playing on her own, though, and has no end of distractions. Still, I'm a little curious to see what she comes up with next," she chuckles to herself, shaking her head as she sneaks another kiss on Riesenlied's hair. "... I'll look forward to seeing how the colour looks on you. Will you need a hand?"

"Don't sneak /too/ many, or Mama Shiba the Super Shaman's Mother will find out somehow," notes Noeline with a fanged grin and a slightly awkward huff of air, lifting up from where she's leaning on the wheelchair. She can't help but compare Nana to their children; she's more like one of the orphans rather than Mikaia or Janey, who've always been just the right sort of independent that they didn't exactly need parental coaxing, so much as just company.

"Are you staying in the area for long?" she adds towards Jay as she gives the pot another deadpan glance. "Actually, I suppose I should check that everyone is accounted for on your end? Did your Caravan make its way back as well?"

<Pose Tracker> Jacqueline Barber has posed.

Jacqueline can't help but feel a little good at how entranced Reesenleed is by the sudden appearance of the earth pillar. She's glad her sorcery can bring joy to some people...

And then, conveniently, Reesenleed has two gella! Jacqueline keeps an eye on her to make sure she doesn't fall, but thankfully, it looks like that won't happen.

"Well then, that means you could get two! Looks like it's your lucky day." Jacqueline says good-naturedly. She picks out two of the freshest, best-looking ones, putting them into a small bag for ease of carrying.

"It's a pleasure doing business with you, Reesenleed!" She says, holding it out for her to take.

Meanwhile, she looks toward Riesenlied and Noeline as they make plans to have a nice stroll.

"This is a good time for - there won't be another big rush for a while yet." Jacqueline comments. There's a chuckle as Noeline brings up Mama Shibe but she doesn't comment on that, instead considering her next question.

"We'll probably be off the Thames again before long, but we'll be remaining in the Aquvy region for a while so it's only a matter of time before we return." Jacqueline replies. "This is a convenient place to return to after a long trip."

She chuckles a little.

"It isn't.../quite/ the same, but...I've always been a city girl at heart, so it has a nice...bustle, I'd say, that I've missed." She comments, and then nods.

"Yes to both, thankfully - at least, everyone who chose to return with us." Jacqueline replies. "It could have been a lot worse, with how hectic everything was..."

She glances back toward Odjn, chuckling a little at her comment.

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Reesenleed giggles as she grabs her two cookies and conveniently slides off Jacqueline's earth pillar with the same amount of glee as if it were a slide. "Thank you, Miss Jay! And look forward to the appearance of... Jackeleen Barbeer, next time!" She looks like she's commited her look into memory as she runs off with a wave to the three of them, grinning at Noeline. "Then I'm gonna share one with Mama!"

Risenlied sighs softly, chuckling as she says, "I think I would be too slow for her. But it is fine, we will see them tonight again anyway."

She flushes at the kiss, as she hums in thought to murmur, "W-well... maybe I will just keep it on hand right now and see how I feel. Having the option is more important."

Jacqueline mentions she's going to be off again before long, but staying in the Aquvy region.

"We will likely go on our own adventures. Perhaps we will see each other, and, ah... I am glad everyone is all right as well," she nods. "Thank you, Jacqueline."
