- Summary: A recurring dream goes differently, this time. This phase is over.
The summer heat is strong, but there is no fire except in the hearts of the city's defenders.
Soldiers wearing the crest of House Klein trade bullets and javelins with moblins and Octoroks, but the city is holding. A few storefronts are crashed in due to stray attacks, but the line is holding; great buildings funnel the enemy to columns that can be dealt with, and the people are long behind the soldiers' lines. The markets are in disarray, to be sure, but the pig-faced moblins fall, one by one, in the face of an organized resistance.
Eleanor sees this from within the dream, and she looks around, eyes widening in wonder as she notices what has changed since the last such dream. She sees the soldiers fighting, sees Ganondorf's army clashing with them. And she sees her brother, leading a charge to break the line of Moblins ahead, at the front of a Musketeer unit. But the scene suddenly shrinks--no, Eleanor /moves/, her perspective rising into the air above the city, where many battles have broken out in her home. However, the battles are not what gets her focus. She settles in, and she knows what's coming this time, she thinks--but--
There. The King of Evil himself, stalking the city ahead of his army, searching for something. He throws a cart out of the way, discards the remnants that remain in his hands, and then--then, he looks. And Eleanor finds herself staring straight at him, standing suddenly not a disembodied presence, but a young woman in orange robes.
"/There/ you are," Ganondorf says, and looks down his nose at the much smaller Eleanor. A horrible sneering smile spreads across his face.
Eleanor wakes with a start.
