- Summary: Eleanor Klein finishes her study of the Shrine of Dan Dairam, and prepares a report.
Once again, Eleanor walks out to the clocktower, kneeling down beside each talisman to check for changes in its magical signature. Each is designed to be sensitive to movements of the Ley, though they all look different; they're some of the many trinkets Eleanor has picked up over her years as a Crest Sorceress.
This one is bronze, with an intricate lion design. She marks down its readings.
That one is silver, with geometric patterns. She marks down its readings.
Another, and another, all in a set, each in various directions from what was a convergence in the Ley. Ordinarily, these talismans would not be enough to determin much even so, but somehow, Eleanor knows that with her new abilites, she can read the subtleties. And what she has read is very concerning indeed.
The young elf frowns as she looks over what was the Shrine, the interlocking orrey of Ley energy now gone, and starts to walk back to the castle.
She has a report to write with her findings, comparing and collating day after day. When she finishes the report, she sends copies to many Drifter groups and individuals, as well as the scholars at Sielje.
"The Shrine of Dan Dairam was host to an important convergence of the Ley that has abrubtly faded. The signs and flows ar weakened considerably, and worse, are beginning to change and re-route in the absence of this vital point. This could have drastic impacts on the health of the entire Aquvy region."
There is much detail here in indicating the specific rate of change of flow, direction, and power. The conclusion she reaches, however:
"If this energy is not reclaimed from the Prophets, we face a very real danger to Aquvy's environmental balance. The damage can be restored and the environment healed, wih the methods I have laid out in this text. But only if we can 'free' that energy. It must be done, and it must be done soon. I request your assistance, those of you who are able. For those who are not versed in combat, I request that you prepare the methods I have outlaid."
