It was a fine day in the Sylvaland Market and business was booming even with the threat of Heimdall Gazzo looming overhead. War hadn't touched Sylvaland for a long time and it showed. In truth, Solitaire felt out of place here already and that wasn't even taking into account her current problem. Her expression was sour even though she was sitting by the quite pleasant Eastwise Lake. Solitaire normally enjoyed public parks. Or rather, she enjoyed the one public park she ever experienced before which was this one.

"Nnm. Don't like it." Solitaire pouted, arms crossed.

~You already admitted that you were willing to get a second pair of shoes so the first pair wouldn't wear out more quickly. And we already paid for it. Try them on.~

Solitaire sighed reluctantly but ultimately sat down on a bench and pulled the boots on, one by one. Then she hopped up and down twice. "...."

~Well...? How are they?~

Solitaire lowered her head. "...They're comfortable."

~See! It wasn't too bad was it?~

Patience frowned, seeing that the frown on Solitaire's face had gotten bigger and the beginning of a tear was forming in her right eye. It took Patience but a moment to figure out what the issue was. Solitaire had grown up on the bottom rung of society and her life had improved tremendously already in her eyes. Maybe a second pair felt like too much?

Still, they both acknowledged that Erzebet was ultimately correct here so...

~.....Would you like to exchange them for something a little less comfortable?~

Solitaire nodded furiously.

~...Okay... Let's go back to the cobbler and exchange them.~

Solitaire brightened immediately and gave Patience a big hug. "Mmn!"
