Amelia Rose, Priestess of Althena, is a serious, blunt, yet soft spoken and often kind woman. After a rough life growing up in Larpa ended in her disfigurement from her father's gambling debts, she took to the Church to maintain her sanity. A talented healer, doctor, and lover of knowledge, she spent years as an adventuring pilgrim and priestess for hire before the coming of Althena to the world. Since then, she's served in the Althena's Guard both as a front-line fighter using her whip-cane, canine companion Silver, and healing powers to save the lives of many a guardsman. Now lost in Filgaia, she searches for Lucia the Destroyer with cunning and tenacity, all in order to carry out Althena's will.

Background

Growing up in Larpa to a Priestess and gambling addicted father, her early life would be marked by being a casualty of her parent's gambling debts. Left blinded from the incident, a loving mother pushed her towards the Church of Althena, where her talents for White Magic would be discovered.

Years later, she would embark on a long string of adventures as a priestess on pilgrimage, offering her services as a healer and growing in skill as she learned from every person she met. Only the growing greed of the Church, and worse, the odd proclamations from Althena as she came once more to the world would give the woman pause even as she rushed to assist the city being built for the Goddess in the flesh.

Service in the Guard followed, and it's left the kind-hearted healer with a streak of pragmatism and a faith rivaled by few. Yet, so too does the taste of adventure linger in her heart as she finds herself on Filgaia. With a Destroyer to catch, she nevertheless finds time to use her powers to help any she can.

Powers and Abilities

White Magic: An accomplished mage, Amelia's skills at healing are notable in both power and pure experience. Perhaps moreso is her willingness to offer them freely or on the cheap, in stark contrast to many of her fellow priests.

Martial Arts: Long years of adventuring has left this elf with more than enough skill to defend herself, using a cane-whip and close range attacks that leverage her anatomical knowledge. Pragmatic at heart, she has no problems fighting dirty.

Silver: Amelia's dog! Well trained, tough, and yet with a fluffy heart of gold.
