A young woman from Kilika who claims to have suffered under the persecution of Althena’s Guard. Having fled her supposed captors, Ena now seeks to become a Summoner in the hopes of driving the Guard from Kilika Island. Ena attempts to be kind and helpful, but is prone to bouts of clumsiness and seems to have struggled in taking in the lessons from her home temple. Despite this, she throws herself fully into her studies and training, as though she is trying to learn all she can of her faith. This fervor occasionally leads her to places she should not be, and it’s only a matter of time before it gets her in trouble.
Background
Ena was on Kilika when Althena's Guard took over the island. She claims to have survived both the attack by Sin (by luck) and the Inquisition of Althena, having recklessly escaped the island on a fishing boat. She's not entirely sure how the waters took her to Luca, but she managed to make it to the refugee camp at Mi'ihen Highroad. It is there that she implores Yevon that she undertake training to be a Summoner.
Powers and Abilities
- Shadow Magic - Ena is a surprisingly adept Shadow Mage for how little she has been exposed to fighting or combat. She still seems to be getting the hang of it, but it's useful for a would be summoner to have.
- Novice Staff Fighting - Ena can sort of use a staff to defend herself. She seems a bit flaily and not used to it, but she's sometimes capable of getting good hits in. Those seem to be luck or accident, though.
- Fast Leaner - Though she seems to have been a poor student, Ena learns quickly. She devours Yevon's teachings with a seemingly insatiable appetite.
