Lynnai Albrek is the third child of a wealthy Adlehyde trading family. Sent to boarding school in Marze for an education, Lynnai's first act of rebellion was managing to get herself apprenticed to a Symbologist without the permission of her family - and not just any Symbologist, but her aunt Sara Albrek, a ruin-hunting archaeologist delving into the history of Filgaia and understanding the most ancient of Symbols. There, Lynnai learned the unusual Symbols she prefers as well as obtained a very strong theoretical backing, combining old runes and new developments into a unified whole. Upon Sara's disappearance in unusual circumstances, Lynnai announced that she would be following in her mentor's footsteps rather than returning to Adlehyde to join the family business, to the chagrin of her parents. An intellectual and scholar, Lynnai is strong-willed and follows her own path in search of knowledge and success, regardless of where it takes her. She enjoys delving into dark ruins, unearthing secrets long lost, and the intricate mathematics and forms of Symbology.
