Nightburn is a considered by many to be the Drifter's Drifter, a man with a relaxed demanor that belies his astonishing aptitude for gunplay, solving riddles, and taking down golems. Rumors from abroad also suggest that he's quite the humanitarian, offering aid to those in need along the fringe settlements.

Romantics who grew attached to tales of many duels won with a trusty six-shooter may be disappointed to learn that he seems to have moved on to better gear as his success grew. Nightburn's current armament of choice is a compact hard-light SMG ARM that many collectors would be willing to kill for, as by all appearances it dates back to the Metal Demon wars. The fact that Nightburn can openly utilize such a weapon while retaining ownership of it speaks volumes for his prowess with it.
A Golem's Worst Nightmare: According to the rumors, Nightburn can stand toe to toe with golems without so much as blinking. Of course, some of the rumors also say that Nightburn is eight feet tall and can beat Metal Demons in arm wrestling, so it's hard to say how much of this is embellishment. While it's debatable that Nightburn has actually had an opportunity to fight a fully awakened Golem, the frequency of these stories might imply that he has a knack for dealing with automated ruin guardians of a smaller scale.
