A once relatively-unknown Light Seraph, Liath had lived a life of obscurity until recent events thrust her into the spotlight in the form of a fateful connection: Liath currently serves as the Prime Lord to the Shepherd Thessaly, claimed by the Goddess Althena herself to be the one true Shepherd to tend to her flock in this dawning Age of Chaos. This bold assertion is reinforced and given considerable legitimacy thanks to one, simple fact: unlike most Seraphim, Liath is completely visible even to those with no spiritual resonance to speak of -- the result, she claims, of an Oath made with the Shepherd, doing much to engender belief and faith amongst a populace less inclined to believe in what they cannot see. Worldly, gentle and warm, yet also blunt, strong-willed and possessed of the noble bearing and charisma of a natural-born leader, Liath is in many ways what the faithful might picture as the quintessential Seraph -- her tendency towards odd digressions and bizarre, imagination-fueled tangents aside. Despite her kind and forthright nature, however, there are a number of peculiarities to Liath: amongst them, her refusal to take on Sub-Lords, and her apparent restrictions against providing direct and personal aid to any mortal save the Shepherd herself, even in the most mundane of things -- the cost of the selfsame Oath that renders her so discernible to the naked eye.
