The name of Dr. Taphas Parth has circulated in Solarian academic circles for some time, attached to studies on chemistry, biology, psychology and their interplay. A short break from her duties above now over, the doctor has resumed her role as a terrifyingly pragmatic psychochemist and bioshaper. Dr. Parth specializes in treating the body and the mind with the same clinical precision as an engineer would treat a machine, utilizing chemicals and cybernetics to achieve the results she wants - results that can include hideous experiments in mind control and transhumanism. Cold, acerbic and with no bedside manner to speak of, she leaves a lot about herself unspoken, and more than a few questions tend to hover around her in the circles she travels in - including why she can fight as well as any Gebler operative, and why her name crops up in studies and papers from years before she was even born.

Background

Powers and Abilities

Dr. Parth's combat powers are somewhat ambiguous, among other abilities that raise question marks.

  • Medical Expertise: Dr. Parth's name has been attached to numerous medical papers in Solarian periodicals, focusing on topics as esoteric as behaviour modification, engrammatic monitoring, computer consciousness modeling, transhumanist theory, etheric theory and psychoactive chemicals to matters as seemingly benign as geriatrics, cell decay and preventative gene therapies. The odd part is that her name shows up in periodicals from decades before she should've been born, given that she looks to be around 25.
  • Long Array: When she does deploy in the field, Dr. Parth is usually seen with a long-barreled rifle of Solarian manufacture, equipped with a chin-mounted launcher that appears to be optimized for grenades or canisters. She usually pairs the weapon with a nose/mouth-covering respirator with prominent filters, for some reason.
