Isolde is some woman with a sword who seemed to just walk out of the desert and take to the adventuring life. She has to have come from somewhere, and she did: Lunar, where she admits only to being a professional gambler. Her demeanor is gentle and empathic enough to suggest a noblewoman from a storybook (at least, away from the gaming table) and is mostly punctuated by viciously efficient swordplay, which she leverages against problems for coin to go waste at the gaming tables. Her poor luck is partly due to overly aggressive play, but the eye bindings of thick cloth probably have a role to play, too. There is the occasional glimpse of melancholy... but it's occasional. Who doesn't have problems, sometimes?
