==============================<* Gunsmoke Desert *>===============================

The Gunsmoke Desert occupies the northwestern portion of Ignas. This desert is different from Aveh's. Instead of rolling dunes of sand, it has dry and cracked ground, and the mountains that rim it also intrude into the interior, forming stunning rock formations that can look as beautiful as they look impossible. The settlements here are hard-pressed to survive, consisting of countless small towns. The lucky few are connected by railways to the Seed Cities scattered about the Gunsmoke. Many are lost to the sands, which cover them and a tremendous concentration of ruins from Filgaia's past. This makes these badlands the heart of Drifter activity in Ignas.

<Pose Tracker> Id has posed.

Id flew off after that nonsense, staring at his hands the whole while. His thoughts are his own but he is concerned by the influence of his other selves over his own actions. To make matters worse, he isn't sure there is much that can be done about it. It's more about the fake's experiences than his own.

Isn't it?

Id keeps going until he's a mile or so in. The heat rolls off him readily as he maintains a careful balance of chi throughout his body.

He drops down then and only then to conserve energy. He never knows when he'll be taken off the stage so he must be more and more careful every time he comes out.

He didn't want to kill Xantia, that's for certain, and it's hard to want to harm her even for him, considering her strange reactions to him. But the Dean boy? The longer he waits before destroying everything, the more sleeping giants are bound to awaken.

"Tch.." Id says, lashing out at a nearby sand dune, detonating it in a wild splendor as sand sprays everywhere intermingled with wisps of red chi energy.

<Pose Tracker> Millenia has posed.

"Oh my, I don't suppose you'd do that again for me~ <3" comes a voice not far behind Id, followed by the sound of feet landing on sand. There's a woman standing there, dressed in crimson almost as offending as Id's, vibrant red hair held up in two large buns and a ponytail, with white and gold horn-like accessories under the buns. Yellow, semi-transparent fabric is pretending to be a skirt under that corset, clashing with the rest of the red (and some purple and white) outfit.

Long black wings start shrinking on her back, before disappearing outright, her need for flight gone for the time being. Fingers reach for her lips and Millenia Id a kiss in greeting.

"Please, don't let me distract you! That was incredible, such raw power! I bet you've got a lot of steam to let off. Would you like a drink?"

Her other hand produces a bottle of rum, still not open. Probably stole it on the way over.

<Pose Tracker> Id has posed.

Id says, "You're not Neriah, but your energies radiate like Neriah's. Similar. And I remember what Neriah is." He turns around towards Millenia. His eyebrows raise. He didn't expect anyone like Neriah to look, well, that stable let's be real here.

"...Who did they put you into?" He asks. "And what would you like to be called?"

His eyes slant towards the rum. Much more stable, he thinks.

"Christ I want a drink," Id admits. He doesn't seem inclined to blast Millenia, at least not yet. Whether it's because of sympathy for the devils that are imprisoned in mortal shells, because she brought rum, or because he considers Millenia one of those sleeping giants is not stated but odds are it's a combination of all three.

"You're right," He says, regarding blowing off steam, but he's apparently stubborn enough to not just go out and do the job he was made for. "But shooting sand is a waste while you're here."

<Pose Tracker> Millenia has posed.

"You're right! That's because my possession isn't complete. It's such a drag, let me tell you!" Millenia says, smiling, as she wanders on closer to hand Id the peace offering. Some powers you don't approach without something to subdue them, and Id is definitely one of those. Cocky as Millenia is, she's not suicidal. "Oh, if I told you who you'd never believe me! Well, you might not even know them. Some nobody, really~. <3"

She certainly seems playful, at least. Not hostile.

"Why, I wager if things had worked out like they were supposed to, I'd be a lumbering monstrosity. I'd say this is the silver lining to beat all silver linings. Oh, a name?"

She stops to think. Evidently, she doesn't have one yet. Id's surge called her and made her wake up for the first time. How could it not? "Mmmmm, how about Millenia? That's lovely, isn't it?"

She inspects Id, lingering on his face but attention caught by his armor. "I feel like I've seen your face before, but oh my, don't you just seem kitted out for war? Who's the unlucky sucker who ruffled your hair the wrong way? And what name will you make them curse?"

<Pose Tracker> Id has posed.

Id wasn't expecting Millenia to actually tell him. Id is an alias too. It's one he identifies strongly with but he knows what and who he really is. That does give him a small advantage sometimes when dealing with other people like himself, younger ones still growing into their identity. Luckily(?) while he is still certain that he can only relate to others through destruction, there's nothing in that phrasing that doesn't mean he can't enjoy destruction with other poeple.

Id finally cracks a smile. "You'd be surprised, but you're smart not to say."

But that's interesting. An unsuccessful experiment? Id believes in gods but doesn't see them 'as gods'. It's a subtle difference. He says, "Perhaps we were on the same team at one point, or on opposing teams. When you've been around as long as I have, you've pretty much fought on every side."

He leans back, hovering in air as he swigs down some rum. It's a wonderful gift and he hands back the bottle to Millenia since while he may be an asshole, he's not one hundred percent a dick.

"Millenia, they call me Id. The 'unlucky sucker' was Corwynt of the Althena Guard and an entity calling itself K.K. That one's tricky, the other's a run of the mill idiot I've seen die proudly countless times."

He considers Millenia. "Yeah, you're probably right. Guess we've got a lot in common. Not Valmar, but enough." He considers whether or not he should ask her what she wants to do now that she's around, but she's still new. Maybe that's too much. He mulls it over in his head before admitting, "A silver lining this evening... that's for sure. So. You wanna go fuck off somewhere?"

He seems to run that through his head. "By which I mean with me. Do you want to go somewhere or do you just want to watch me shoot shit?"

<Pose Tracker> Millenia has posed.

For a long time, huh? Millenia taps her lips, pondering. "Well, I suppose I've spent the last several centuries in a box, so I wouldn't know what that's like. Who wants to stay in a box when there's a big great world to explore, though? Not me!"

In a box or not, she does know things, courtesy of the host body. "Ah yes, Althena's Guard, Filgaia's second worst god-totting plague. Don't they all know there's no such things as gods? Just different shades of devils when you get down to it! Excuses to commit awful things!" She laughs. It isn't a nice laugh. "People need to be more honest with themselves."

An invitation. She grins. "Oh, I'm just fine watching you teach that sand who's boss. I'm strong, but you're something else~. You're the wrath they write legends about!"

In truth, she wasn't sure how long her body would last. Certainly not long enough to go on a real, fun adventure. Not yet. "But why don't we make that an I.O.U?"

She takes the bottle, chugging down a quarter of it before handing it back. "Next time we're both around at once, let's go have some real fun somewhere. I'll bring the drinks, you bring the not-so-divine wrath!"

        That's probably a fair trade.

<Pose Tracker> Id has posed.

Id says, "You have your own will. Whatever or whoever made you. Though I guess that's something you already seem to understand that," That's the key piece of advice he'd give anybody who's like him. He snorts a little at the description of the Althena guard though which keeps him from drinking more rum just yet. "Granas isn't even five hundred years old, but sure I bet they know a great deal." The sarcastic tone in that is unmistakeable. He takes the jug back. He's feeling like maybe he should go after November City. Those people who think they're safe, they're not safe, he'll teach them they're not safe, yeah! That's what he'll do!

Id is still physiologically connected to Fei at least on some level and Fei tends to drink to forget which means he drinks a lot when he drinks but he's not an alcoholic, really, so he doesn't drink that often. He turns with an arm and fires a chi blast into the air and it bursts into several shards of red light, like a firework, right there in the desert sky.

Is this how the demon of elru is defeated?!

egardless, he doesn't fade back into Fei just yet. "Pffh, power's overrated." He says to Millenia. "But you're one of the most sensible people I've ever met." He takes one last swig before giving the bottle back to Millenia. "You're right! People've gotta be honest! They just go around blaming everybody else for their problems and it's like--no wonder malevolence is everywhere, right? If they just accepted they wanted to be pricks, they'd blow off some steam and be pricks less often!"

He fires another blast into the air. "And religion's the worst of it. They trick nice folks into workin' for them, sure, but the folks running the show? They ain't got no kind intentions. They just want...power! It's all any of 'em want."

He throws a middle finger to the sky. "FUCK YOU OLD MAN!"

"Sure," He adds after. "IOU. You seem like you'll be hard to miss, heh!"

<Pose Tracker> Millenia has posed.

"Oh I've got more will than anyone can handle, baby!" Millenia says, laughing. It's a good laugh this time! Contrast. They're not that different. "Certainly more than any Guard or Church can handle."

Taking the bottle back, she takes the last chug of it, tossing the empty bottle into the sand afterwards. She oooohs like a fascinated child when Id puts on a show, giddy as she jumps up and down. "Overrated or not, power sure looks pretty. Malevolence? I wouldn't know about that. But ah, darkness has many names! That's all they are, names. Excuses, just like gods! Oh no, the big bad Valmar made me do mean things!" She gestures wildly. "Surely I must be innocent and all evil is Valmar's fault!"

She sticks her tongue out. "Nyyeh, suckers. Darkness doesn't create intent, it just brings it out of you."

She watches with a smile as Id goes on a rant about religion and power. She could get used to this! But alas, there's a tug. It seems her host wants to wake up. It wouldn't do for her to awaken in the desert and get suspicious.

"Oh, believe me, you'll miss me every second I'm gone~ <3." she finally answers, twisting Id's words with a grin. She bends forward a bit, blowing the godslayer another kiss as long, black demonic wings pop out of her back.

"Well, toodles for now, seems someone really wants to wake up! I'll look forward to our date, handsome!"

She hops off the ground, ready for takeoff!
<Big Scene> Heal Berry says, "Yaro cowers, aggressively"
<Big Scene> Yarobeleedt says, "oh does he ever"

<Pose Tracker> Id has posed.

Id's charmed. On this cow patty planet, as some have been known to call it, it's rare to find the modern outlook from back when he was truly young. He may be a civilization destroyer himself, but he's seen the fall of civilizations himself, rarely in truth done by his hand. Maybe feeling the hopelessness of building these little clay sanctuaries is what compels him to smash them. They don't even know the true dangers. They're not something you can punch out. If Id could just punch his enemies out, they'd be dead by now. It's not that easy. Power, it's just power. Millenia certainly seems to have will and confidence. Time will tell whether it's truly hers or if it's just an illusion of Valmar itself. Granas may be a lie, Valmar likely too--but that doesn't mean they aren't constructed from true creatures, true creations.

Id calms down somewhat--in part because throwing off those explosions lowers his energy and being drunk weakens his control. He should dump Fei somewhere before he wakes up too come to think.

Id dips his head. "You got me there."

He watches Millenia depart for a long while, though, despite the need to dump the body somewhere because he's thinking.

"Smart kid," He murmurs to himself.

And then he thinks it over some more. Maybe he's going about this the wrong way. Go to a town, blow it up, pass out for a while, rinse repeat? Sure, there's towns he should destroy, but he can have ambition, can't he? It's not just Millenia, though she seems to be the prime example so far. There's Neriah too. Ida. Others, perhaps. People he can relate to over the nature of destruction...

...that does sound like the best solution to the seal on him doesn't it?

"Wasn't a waste after all." Id flies for November City in order to dump Fei in his room but let it be said that today Millenia saved that very city by getting Id wasted.
