Gryndille is a mysterious, self-aware ARM that has plagued Ignas for nearly the last twenty years. Many consider it to be nothing more than a rumor: a legendary ARM, as tall as a house and armed with a large cannon, that moves and attacks on its own. It has laid waste to villages throughout Ignas, especially in the Badlands, but avoided conflict with Kislev, Aveh, and other military forces. The automaton is a silent killer, offering no explanation for the damage that it leaves in its wake.
Rumors
Little is known of Gryndille's origins. Few Drifters have encountered the ancient ARM and lived to tell the tail. Some information is broadly agreed upon: it is large, though not nearly as large as a gear, with four legs and a vaguely humanoid upper body that gives it a vaguely monstrous look. It has a powerful cannon and wicked, sharp claws that can tear a man limb from limb with ease. Gryndille is silent in its fights, save for the occasional mechanical hiss or whine, and no rhyme or reason for why it appears or attacks has ever been agreed upon.
When it attacks an area, it tends to be thorough. Gryndille will systematically destroy every structure in a village, kill every person within ten miles, and leave little trace of its passing. Despite its power, it has rarely intervened where heavily armed forces might be. A few Aveh and Kislev patrols have supposedly encountered it, but never large units -- though it is said that it handily dispatched Gears twice its size.
