Where the majority of Hyadeans are struggling to find their place on the two worlds - if any - after the fall of Mother, the young Ratatoskr seems to be enjoying the turn of events presented to him. Noted for an unusually high interest in old war heroes among the natives even before the world-shattering revelations, Ratatoskr has now taken up the mantle of a Drifter in which to further pursue these storied people and anything related to them, past and present. A budding historian as involves the (former?) enemy, his warrior upbringing often overlaps with this interest in troublesome ways. Indeed, the squirrel-like Hyadean continues to possess a lust for fighting apparently for its own sake in pursuit of - and often as result of - these stories and relics, and hardly ever can hold back his enthusiasm. As one of Mother's Metal Demons, he was raised as a rapid assault unit that wielded compressed air shotguns built into his limbs alongside hand-to-hand combat, further bolstered by a horn atop his head that can fire off laser blasts as needed. He uses his fast land speed and the ability to hover across great distances - as befitting for his secondary role as a battlefield messenger - to sometimes even get ahead of the greater Drifter community towards various items of interest. Brash, loud, and eccentric, his genuine respect for artifacts and honored warriors of the two worlds would be more endearing were he not the sort to romanticize the darkest truths and circumstances surrounding them. In doing so, he further glorifies and perpetuate legacies that may have been best left forgotten. With a penchant for going to great lengths to avoid killing his opponents or otherwise try to prevent their untimely ends, it seems as though the only thing that truly discourages him is the idea of an era free of martial conflict.
