Background

Ribaldy was always going to be a ARMs Meister. His father was an ARMs Meister as was his grandfather before him. His homelife was good, though his parents were alarmed when he turned out to be more beastman than his mother, who had a standard dog-ears-and-tail package. That slight tension was all his life's equilibrium needed to push him along a different path.

Ribaldy's rebellious phase in his late teens did not cause him to abandon the career path his father set him on, but it did cause him to hare off completely, abandoning his father's apprenticeship to take up with a cooler, more dangerous ARMs Meister who worked with things that looked significantly more intense. Blodik Cain was the ARMs Meister for Jack Vantabrack's Black Ties, and Ribaldy fell in with the gang with a wide-eyed fascination.

Sent along the suicide heist with Kent Hauch as a factor of simply being young and expendable enough, Ribaldy became a Suit through virtue of being the only ARMs Meister in the Black Ties to survive the heist, the takeover, and the follow-up Solarian kill team attack.
