The guardian angel watching over the assassin's guild Scattered Bones, or perhaps the devil whispering in Rose's ear, Dezel is the unseen force that has provided the guild some of its most infamous accomplishments since their foundation. Stoic and taciturn to those who are even aware of his existence at the best of times, and downright rude at the worst, Dezel doesn't believe in friendship and bonds so much as tools and assets. Nonetheless, he has been by Rose's side for longer than even he can remember, assisting her with his mastery over the winds and his patently unique choice of weaponry in the form of a simple pendulum. While Dezel is surrounded by mysteries, he is paradoxically blunt and straightforward about what he wants: revenge against the Hellion who ruined his life and took everything precious from him, and the power to reap it. Everything and everyone else? Just a means to that end.
