| PRE-ENCOUNTER SUMMARY: | 2017/04/12: At approximately 2300 hours I arrived at the entrance of the Sult Mines, intending provide a preliminary investigation of the exterior and surrounding area in anticipation of later exploration of mine interior (Background: The Sult Mines are one of several areas identified as potential sources for the upcoming archaeological expeditions by Adlehyde. Report still being compiled). No resistance in the form of wildlife or lambs were encountered en route to the mine.
2017/06/27: Encounter report from Lt. van Houten, reporting to infirmary post encounter with individual. Van Houten additionally demonstrating a large animal injury, partially cauterized at infliction, to the right thigh, with aggravating blood loss and emotional agitation. |
| ENCOUNTER SUMMARY: | 2017/04/12: At approximately 2305 hours, encountered an unknown individual at the mine entrance. Human appearance, fully dressed in white armor of unknown style and origin. Gender unknown, but appeared and spoke in traditionally masculine forms. Subject was armed with a bladed weapon, but seemed to dissipate it in command (Possible ether user. Unconfirmed). Engaged subject in confirmation, found them unfamiliar with local regional terms-questioning (the subject's) reflected a general lack of knowledge of both geography and geopolitical structures to the continent of Ignas. Subject then identified themselves by the name "K.K." and confirmed they were not native to Ignas. Did not confirm place of origin, but identified their career as 'Geohound'-I believe this is an Aquvy regional term equivalent to mercenary, further research needed.
Though the subject's appearance and behavior on occasion suggested threat, did not engage in combat. Subject provided unclear motivations where presence at Ruins when questioned, other than to satisfy personal desires regarding "our past", as he/she/they put it. Further questioning proved inconclusive as subject decided to retreat. Given the location, my current armament, and unknown nature of the subject's combat capabilities, elected not to pursue and continued original operation. 2017/06/27: While off duty I noticed a cluster of "Malevolence entities" of humanoid form in a crowd in Bledavik. I attempted to trail them to their location but was instead drawn into the Bledavik slums near a disused bazaar. A total of four large canines (comparable to Dazil-region wolves, with fire emission Ether organs or similar in mouths) attacked; I was able to disable three before being injured. The person or entity called "K.K." by Captain Yugh slew the remaining one with their personal weapon, and then spoke with me. I did not have the opportunity to elicit much information from "K.K." due to my injuries. They appeared interested in my personal psychology and after some conversation chose to leave the vicinity, if with a threat to return in the future. They referred to me as a "destroyer," which seemed to be a term of art although the exact connotations were not clear. From context I believe this refers to my Ether abilities, which "K.K." seemed aware of, although I made use of them in self-defense against the wolves. 2018/03/17: Individual spotted in Krosse; appears to be intimately involved in national instability. |

| COMMENTS: | 2017/06/27: A recon patrol to the reported site of the encounter revealed no remains or blood traces, although several cold-water patches and an electrical scorch on stonework validate van Houten's account of Ether use. The pattern and size of her leg injury is consistent with a creature such as described. |
