SITE REPORT
SOLARIAN SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND (SOLSOC)
Prepared by Loren Voss
Authorized for release to Gebler Special Exploratory Group (SEG)
(Clearance-confirmed contractors included)

SCENE LOG: Snakes And Ladders
LOCATION: Serpent's Coils, alleged poorly-explored ruin
PARTICIPANTS: 2LT Voss, Gwen Whitlock, Lemina Ausa, Jean, Seraph Ragnell
RELICS RECOVERED: None
PRE-EXPLORATION SUMMARY: Investigate and determine veracity of rumors concerning contents of ruin site, Drifter activity, types of materials available.
EXPLORATION SUMMARY: Standard desert conditions outside; site difficult to locate. Ruins inside featured marked presence of slimes and still active ancient mechanisms. Pitfalls were located at various points.

Notes on Drifters present:

  • GWEN WHITLOCK, courier and known 'asset'.
  • JEAN, a woman marked by feats of athleticism; accompanying LEMINA AUSA and met on-site.
  • LEMINA AUSA, a woman using unusual magical talents; may be Symbology but technique style does not match. Recommending watch status for rogue ether use.

Expedition resulted in failure. A fall sent the bulk of our group down a pit, ejecting us from the ruin; the rest had little choice but to follow.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Unable to determine whether Drifters have frequented the site more heavily of late; with increased Drifter presence in the area due to migration west, site contents may become a liability. Further analysis of artifact risk needed; further expeditions advised. Site featured several intact and clearly ancient mechanisms so risk is present.
COMMENTS: 'Spring Breeze' may have been present. Other Drifters observed speaking with a presence I could not see or hear.
