Margaret is the "Black Pearl of Neo-Vane," formerly the "Black Pearl of Zaback," who could charitably have been called a mercenary before her ascension to the councils of Neo-Vane. She and her "Hounds of Hell" gang-- *free company* were seconded by the Black Wizard Borgan to Althena's Guard, and that is why she is here. Margaret can come off as a moaning wastrel or your garish aunt at casual acquaintance, but this is the silk brocade on a large steel hammer which can come down with lightning speed from unexpected angles.
