Background
She likes to joke that she's the forgotten middle child in triplicate. She has two older brothers and a younger sister. For what it's worth, the triplets don't frequently swap places just to mess with people. They do get up to other types of trouble though, much to the presumed chagrin of others.
A sleepy seeming slacker, she does keep on top of her school grades by dint of testing. Her sisters are a little better in some ways, worse in others. Can't help the resemblence!
The family history, tradition and training are all very important to her and contrary to her school work, she's very studious here. Even if it's contrary to the overall feeling that the world needs to be shaken up, a theme present in some of her tags. And her short lived attempt at creating a pirate radio station or other similar acts of relatively harmless rebellion in the grand scheme of things.
When her friend Sable started a pokemon journey, all three sisters (And friends of Sable) chose to follow suit. Mostly thanks to Sable's mother providing them with their starters. The triplets then promptly went their own way. Not out of any frustration, but in a desire to see what happens. Also there's an unofficial, but mostly friendly competition going between the three of them.
Chapter 3 Act 1
Nina has met the enemy and they are terrifying in unique ways each. She will not back down. She has resolved to join the aliens in the defense of her home, friends and family. There's a special chip on her shoulder for Team Rocket members. So many seem to share her same concerns and beliefs, but have chosen a different route.
What she's seen has only strengthened her resolve. That she can stand with the others and protect everyone.
Skills, Powers and Abilities
Nina is an impulsive trainer. It's clear she's chosen her team based on some vibe she can't fully explain. There's some friction growing in that she's afraid to put them at risk the same as any of her other friends and puts herself out front. She's learning slowly. She's an aggressive trainer with a focus on poison, burns and frostburn. Outside of what she's deemed sanctioned fights, she's also not at all above playing dirty.
She has potential. Enough that a few have tried to get her to slow down and stop playing by ear. A stern talking to by a gym leader and frequent reminders from Sable being the ones that stand out the most. She takes them to heart, honestly, but it will take time.
There is no secret to her ninja training, separating her from Sable's take on the matter. She's received training in her own family's school (They're the superior ones clearly!), but she's also received some training from Anne, with Sable. For all of her brashness as a trainer, she's quite different on her own. There's fewer problems when no one else is at risk. Obfuscating and buffing magic suplement improvised smoke screens, talent with a kusarigama and the patience she's missing everywhere else in her life.
Nina's kind of terrible at fishing. She's quietly a fan of various forms of art and photography though.
