SCENE LOG: Buried Giant
LOCATION: Adelyn Ranchlands
PARTICIPANTS: Cap. Yugh, Josephine Lovelace
DESCRIPTION: Investigated rumor of a 'metal giant'.
PRE-EVENT SUMMARY: Responded to local rumor regarding a 'metal giant' sighted in the Adelhyde hinterlands. Investigate on foot and the general area and located the disturbance at coordinates 6HAZJ15. Disturbance was verified visually as a partially exposed gear exposed by soil erosion caused by recent weather activity. The exterior was sufficiently weathered to obfuscate attempts to reliably date the wreckage, though a time frame from the metal demon wars to the Shevat-Solaris conflict seemed possible.
EVENT SUMMARY: At this point, closer investigation became challenged by the incursion of local resident into the area. Young female with no obvious markers of demihuman mutation, identified herself as Josephine Lovelace, an archaeologist originally hailing from Aveh. No risk to my alias as Marcus Rider, she seemed more interest in inspecting gear as well, but took nothing from the area that I noticed.

Although the cockpit of the gear was accessible, I could not open it without arousing suspicion. In order to prevent any potential information that could still be stored in the onboard computer and pilot log (if functional) I discretely applied a low-voltage ether current to the gear's chassis that was sufficient to fry any remaining electrical components.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: None. Gear may have marginal value for salvage and parts, but may already have been depleted by local residents by the time of this report. Risk to regional stability: Low.
