SOLARIAN SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND (SOLSOC)
Prepared by Elhaym van Houten
Authorized for release to Gebler Special Exploratory Group (SEG)
(Clearance-confirmed contractors included)

SCENE LOG: Butterflies in the Dark
LOCATION: Rujm el-Hiri (see previous entries)
PARTICIPANTS: 2LT van Houten, "FEI" Fong Wong, 'Cyre Lorentz' (see previous reports), 'FENRIR' (unknown female beastman with unusual technique), Cecilia ADLEHYDE, AVRIL VENT FLEUR
RELICS RECOVERED: Mysterious pendant.
PRE-EXPLORATION SUMMARY: See previous reports.
EXPLORATION SUMMARY: Our entrance into Rujm el-Hiri's depths was relatively straightforward; Lorentz suggested this was his fourth journey into the facility. As such our route of entrance was primarily arduous rather than physically dangerous, although it was necessary for us to overcome and defeat one of the "Black Butterflies" that infest the area. Reaching the cityscape, we also encountered the city Voss described if from a different region.

FEI recovered a decorative or religious object from some remains and gave it to me, which I accepted in order to further the mission. (A similar object was collected by Cyre and Avril.) At the prompting of Adlehyde we departed shortly thereafter. (I made no attempt to seize Adlehyde given other operations, but if she is joining adventuring parties on a solitary basis, it may be possible to lure her into an isolated location for extraction.)

The object FEI recovered is a pendant of tarnished but - according to the spectrometer on my tablet - apparently very pure silver in the form of several interlocking rings, forming a gimbal pattern. After some gentle removal of tarnish using inexpensive household chemicals, I was able to discern inscriptions in the Zeboim script. While damaged, I include the images for intelligence analysis.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Continue expeditions on site.
COMMENTS: (Attached are images of the pendant, including one of Elly wearing it and resting it next to a 5-gella coin for size comparison. The inscriptions in Zeboim script have been faded, but many letters can be made out on the three rings of the gimbal. They are as follows:

Outermost ring: WE W.. H.VE SW..N OA.HS TO O.R L.DY IM..RE
Middle ring: FOR.V.R...E .E SHA.. S..ND IN .I..L
Innermost ring: A.AI..T ..E DA.. F.RC.. OF Y.MO..U)
