SCENE LOG: Something's Rotten in Krosse
LOCATION: Krosse Military Checkpoint
PARTICIPANTS: 2LT Voss, Lydia Seren (ID for previously identified beastperson Shaman; formerly Asteroid the Kid. Further information needed), Jean
DESCRIPTION: Infiltrate and retrieve information from within checkpoint.
PRE-EVENT SUMMARY: Intelligence gathered from local sources indicated unusual Krosse military movement near checkpoints and the removal of foreigners to these points. I recruited a pair of Drifters as backup for this infiltration and provided an appropriate cover story.
EVENT SUMMARY: Due to interference from a Metal Demon (sighted under Wayside, name unknown but body strongly resembles something somewhat sluglike (OOC: Yarobeleedt) infiltration quickly went poorly. It would seem that we were quickly detected by the garrison, who were already agitated. Malevolence was sensed on site, and altered the form of the Captain of the Guard in attendance which forced a confrontation at this point. The massing of the remaining soldiers after the Captain was slain required a retreat. However, I was able to retrieve some paperwork from what may have been his desk. It appears there are some ancient ruins under the capital city, Krosse.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Further infiltrations into checkpoints recommended if feasible. Since no agents in the region are responding, further investigation into the countryside of Krosse advised -- be warned, their levels of paranoia are running high. Investigation of potential importance of ruins in the capital suggested.
