<Pose Tracker> Eleanor Klein has posed.

This lovely room in a Celadon hotel is complete with proper amenities and wide spaces, a large bed and a desk, and various other matters. It's a start, at least; Eleanor is glad to be here instead of at a local Pokemon Center.

There's also a television and a remote, but Eleanor is less familiar with that.

Instead, she's at a desk, writing out her thoughts on what she's seen and experienced here thus far, while waiting for her wife.

It's a nice day out, which is no surprise; Celadon City bustles with activity, the City of Rainbow Dreams always up to something...

And it is very much not Filgaia.

<Pose Tracker> Xiumei Klein has posed.

Xiumei has been quite impressed with the room they found in Celadon. Nevermind that they had to sell a couple of spare pieces of jewelry, but nobility comes with having a few pieces of jewelry that aren't of any sentimental value.

Xiu isn't used to that.

She arrives, with a sigh, and rotates her shoulder as she does. On the other, her Eevee -- steadfast and loyal -- sits, and looks about alertly. Xiumei reaches over, scratching his head.

"Ah, these are very nice!" she tells Nora, as she enters. "Quite the adjustment, isn't it?"

<Pose Tracker> Eleanor Klein has posed.

Eleanor is used to that. It puts her in mind of Spira, where she pulled the same trick, and that makes her a little nostalgic. This is certainly an easier place to be than Spira, though.

Eleanor's Pokemon aren't out at the moment; she found it difficult to write while her Pikachu Phaosia was demanding attention. But now that Xiumei's here, she sets down her pen and smiles.

"Welcome," she says, and waves to the little Eevee, too. "It is," she agrees. "Though I don't mind the new friends i've made so far. I made another while I was out in the city earlier..."

"How are you adjusting?"

<Pose Tracker> Xiumei Klein has posed.

Liu Bei looks at Eleanor, his tail swishing left and right. He is a serious little Eevee, it would seem.

Xiumei smiles, before she walks over closer to her life. She slides an arm around her shoulder, with a sigh; Liu Bei hops off, to begin looking about the bed. Xiumei pays him a glance, before she looks back at Eleanor.

"Surprisingly well, all told," she says. "It's a strange world, but... it's comfortable. A little disturbingly so, sometimes. But the chance to make friends here is quite nice."

Xiumei tilts her head. "What about you? You made another friend...?"

<Pose Tracker> Eleanor Klein has posed.

Liu Bei!

"Yes," Eleanor agrees, "And the people are largely friendly, though I blend in better than I did in Spira." She doesn't have to gesture to her ears. She leans against Xiumei with a smile.

"It is strange, though. I hope that we can talk to the people in charge soon... I feel a little odd, being a visitor that way."

"Oh yes! I'll show him to you. I call him Okeanos." She naturally uses old languages, as a Crest Sorceress who studied at Sielje. She picks up a pokeball from beside her paper and directs it to the floor.

"Slooooooooooow," he begins to greet Xiumei, a big pink creature with a white tail and a very dopey face.

"He came to me while I was sitting down at a fountain. He seems to have the ability to project his thoughts? Which is curious. I haven't met many who can do that other than myself..."

She considers thoughtfully. "Oh, well. I was just writing some of my thoughts down..."

"Poke," Okeanos finishes.

<Pose Tracker> Xiumei Klein has posed.

Xiumei laughs a little, as she looks at Eleanor's ears. Her own fingers drift up, touching her rounded ears. "And I feel as if I stand out," she admits. Then, she nods her head.

"I hope so, too," she says. "I've acquired many questions, and I'd like to balance the books a little on having answers." She tilts her head to the side -- then she blinks, as the Slowpoke is revealed.

Her green eyes widen.

Liu Bei looks to Okeanos, with a thoughtful glane -- and stays quiet, though his tail swishes. "Ah, really?" she asks. "How amazing... well, ah. We've learned something new about these Pokemon. He seems very friendly..."

Xiumei smiles down at him. "Hello, Okeanos."

<Pose Tracker> Eleanor Klein has posed.

"It's a little strange, isn't it?" she asks. "But don't worry. If anyone takes issue, it's my turn to defend you."

"Same," Eleanor agrees about questions and answers--and then there is Slowpoke! Eleanor watches Liu Bei curiously, but then looks back down at Okeanos. "Oh, he is," she says. "He actually came up to greet me, from a group of them. That's why I decided to keep him."

About thirty seconds after Xiumei greets him, Okeanos starts turning his head towards her. Just when it seems he might not've noticed...

"But I admit," Eleanor says. "I'm... a little confused. We've experienced very little real danger since we were here. Some people know about the Ten Wise Men, and even so, there's been... nothing. No sign of them."

"Only this Team Rocket has been an issue, and even they seem content to stay with Pokemon battles."

<Pose Tracker> Xiumei Klein has posed.

"Hm, the tables have turned," Xiumei says, with a little laugh.

"I can see why... very friendly," she says. If slow, as evidenced by the -- well -- delay that it took for him to look at her. She smiles at the Slowpoke, and then she stands up straighter. Her brow furrows, for a moment, and she nods.

"I'm worried about that, too," she says. "And... about what could happen on Filgaia in our absence, too. We're cut off, and I doubt our troubles there have ceased entirely..."

<Pose Tracker> Eleanor Klein has posed.

Eleanor smiles back.

Very friendly!! Eleanor nods, and lets her Slowpoke just hang out for a while. Eventually as they talk, he gives a big dopey smile to Xiumei. Right about the time they're discussing the troubles they have.

"Yes. There are many things back on Filgaia that could be a problem, particularly in our absence. I'm worried at what Ganondorf might try to do..."

"Still," she says, "Despite that it feels peaceful here. And there are people we can rely on back there, that didn't make the journey with us--that's part of why they stayed behind from the trip to Marduk in the first place. So there's at least no need to panic."

She reaches up to place a hand on Xiumei's, then. "I believe we'll be able to find a way back. ...If nothing else," she says, "I still have visions of myself in Filgaia. We are destined to return, one way or another."

<Pose Tracker> Xiumei Klein has posed.

Belated as it is, Xiumei smiles back at the big dopey smile. Then she reaches down and pats Okeanos on the head, giving him a good pat.

She nods, though, and doesn't let herself get too distracted. "As am I," she admits. "And any number of things, besides. And... well, I'm glad that we're destined to return. But we could easily share our problems with this world, too."

She places her hand atop Eleanor's, then gives a squeeze once.

"I'm glad we will return," she says. "I'm fond of this place. But... I admit, it's not home to me, either."

<Pose Tracker> Eleanor Klein has posed.

Okeanos appreciates this. He closes his eyes at length, sighing.

There is a lot to worry about. "We could. And despite their advanced technology, they seem not to have much by way of weaponry, or other things that would help against the problems we could bring them. I think we may have just acquired a new people to help protect."

A smile, at Xiumei. "...Yes, indeed. It's been a lovely visit, but home is home."

"But I admit, seeing such cities... It makes me think of how Klein might grow, in time."

<Pose Tracker> Xiumei Klein has posed.

"I've noticed that. And I've little illusion that our friends here are powerless, but..." Xiumei trails off. There is a certain lack of bloodthirstiness here. Which raises its own questions; after all, the Wise Men were anything but holding back.

"It's made me think of that, too," she admits. "Is this what Filgaia might have been like, too? Had we not been beset by multiple disasters in our history?"

She trails off, then sighs.

"I suppose there's no way to be sure," she admits. "And--well, I do like visiting. And meeting these Pokemon. I admit, it's a little tempting..."

<Pose Tracker> Eleanor Klein has posed.

It rasies quite a few questions. "Even so. Unless they have some great ability that they've been hiding..." It's trouble.

"Yes," Eleanor says. "I know we've seen the ruins of Zeboim; this is beyond even those. How far could we have come? ...I don't regret how our world is, but it does make me wonder."

Then, "...There isn't. But I do intend to ensure that Filgaia has the chance." A pause. "Tempting?" she wonders. "...Yes. I hope they'll do well in Filgaia's lands. I'll have to ask if they depend on anything here. I would hate to leave my little friends behind when we go home."

<Pose Tracker> Xiumei Klein has posed.

"It is," Xiumei admits, with a frown. But, they can't well turn away from a people in need. There is little question about that.

"It makes me wonder, too," she admits, quieter. "But... it's a reason for us to work hard, too. To protect Filgaia, so we have the chance to reach these heights."

Then, she looks at Eleanor -- smiles -- and nods. "It is. And, well--I don't mind making new friends. And..." Her eyes light up, until she pushes her glasses up. Eleanor likely knows that look in her eyes; it's the same one when she gets to play a complicated board game.

"...The rules with battles between Trainers, and all of the intricacies of it... they're well developed," she says. "I'm honestly impressed."

<Pose Tracker> Eleanor Klein has posed.

"It is!" Eleanor agrees. "So we'll work hard. Our planet can heal. I'm sure of it. So long as we don't give up."

Eleanor continues to watch Xiumei, as Okeanos slooooowly rolls to his side. Flop. "Oh." A little laugh, "I see, yes. That would be quite tempting, wouldn't it?" Eleanor knows that look for sure.

"They are, aren't they? Am I looking at an expert Pokemon Trainer in training?"

<Pose Tracker> Xiumei Klein has posed.

"Mm-hm," Xiumei answers. "I think so too. I think... we just have to work at it. And not give up."

Xiumei's eyes briefly look down at Okeanos. She smiles a little -- and then she looks back at her wife. There's a faint flush to her cheeks; the glasses catch the light, which does a lot to hide her expression.

"W-Well--"

Liu Bei hops up, landing atop her shoulder. He looks at her, his tail swishing side-to-side.

"...I might dabble," she admits.

<Pose Tracker> Eleanor Klein has posed.

Eleanor also glances down at her Pokemon, and laughs a little more, gently. "...Yes," she agrees again. But, as she looks back to Xiumei, sees that flush, she can guess at her expression behind her glinting glasses. Especially with Liu Bei there.

"Then I'll be sure not to fall behind," Eleanor says. "I'm told by the people that I have a reasonable team together..."

She starts to stand, and moves to take Xiumei's hands.

"So long as we're together, I'm sure it'll all work out."

<Pose Tracker> Xiumei Klein has posed.

"Well... that would be good. There are doubles, you know," Xiumei says. A little like tennis, which Xiumei plays at times -- but she knows better than to ask Eleanor to play sports competitively. Athleticism is more of an obligation for her.

She takes Eleanor's hands, then squeezes. She smiles. "I'm still assembling mine. It's just Liu Bei, thus far," she admits. "But..."

She trails off. Then, she laughs a little.

"...It will," she says. "I've every confidence in us."
