Nedian Sorcery and Technology

"I am Metatron of the Ten Wise Men, and fighting me will be the greatest achievement you'll ever have!"

-- Metatron of the Ten Wise Men

Energy Nede has the same powers of Sorcery, Technique, and ARMs as individuals from Filgaia and Lunar. However, extensive use of these powers is rare. The devastation caused by the Ten Wise Men Incident made the average Nedian hesitant to use such powers. As such, their martial power -- despite their age as a civilization -- is typically not that much greater than what Filgaia's Zeboim era could produce. The exceptions are stunning but also in the hands of those who would endanger Energy Nede.

It is important to note that Nedians tend to prefer working with Pokémon over using their own power. There is a healthy level of distrust of using such powers, though it isn't out of the question, especially in the hands of the Greater Kanto Police Department.

Sorcery

Symbology is the only form of sorcery used on Energy Nede. Symbology is incredibly advanced here, as well, with Symbols encoded into the very DNA of those who use it. The Nedians were once masters of Symbology, and this shows: they are the only ones who have managed to uncover the secret of using the Symbological Arts to heal.

Nedians also use Symbology outside of combat, and it is much more common in this context. For example, emergency crews will have spells to help move earth and doctors often know healing spells.

Psychic powers on Nede typically fall under the Sorcery category, but some may be Technique. In general, it is considered an understandable scientific phenomenon, and is unique among many of Nede's lifeforms (including the Nedians themselves). In the case of Psychic-type Pokémon Moves, the usual rules apply (with Attacks being Technique, Special Attacks being Sorcery).

Technique

Martial arts and use of chi are not uncommon on Energy Nede. After using Pokémon, this is the most common means of self-defense. Many Pokémon Trainers know a few tricks, so they can defend themselves and their partners if things go truly wrong. However, masters of martial arts -- and people who use weapons, such as swords -- are very rare, and often looked upon with some suspicion outside of government authorities.

ARMs

In a strict sense, Nedian technology is extremely advanced. In the past, they had weapons that could endanger entire planets and immense fleets. Most of these are gone; what remain are sealed in Armslock City and the fortress of Phynal.

The average Nedian weapon is designed to be non lethal. Firearms exist, but are rare, and usually saved for the worst case scenarios. Stun guns are much more common, and various means of incapacitating someone are the expected armaments of both government officials and criminal elements.

Technology for healing, construction, terraforming, and other uses is quite advanced. The Nedians know how to repair and maintain the habitable zone around the Kanto Region; they understand how it could be extended, but the political will to do so has never quite come together. They are limited in how much of it they can make, because there simply isn't enough manufacturing power to (for example) feed all of Filgaia, much less terraform it.

Nedians, notably, don't use the term "ARMs" to refer to technological weapons.
