  • Cast: Riesenlied, Lily Keil
  • Where: Wayside
  • Date: 30th September 2017
  • Summary: Lily gives Riesenlied a doctor's checkup.

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Riesenlied has, after all's said and done with soccer practice, taken Lily back to one of the largest houses in Wayside -- a two-storey house with a particularly nice appointment of windows and balconies; a bit ramshackle, but decidedly less so. It's also got nice crayon drawings and a sign that reads 'WELCOME TO WAYSIDE ORPHANAGE' grafted at the top, bolted on by some kind of haphazard gigantic Gear-sized screw.

It's got a ... kind of charm to it that's very reminiscent of Wayside.

Riesenlied's gone up to her bedroom for her examination, which possesses a good number of tribal affectations -- dreamcatchers, feathered ornaments and all kinds of knick-knacks that one might not expect from a Metal Demon. The other half of the room is rather obviously Noeline's, the way things fold out to dramatic frills and a bookshelf with romance novels and the like.

Riesenlied's dressed down a little to just her gown, which is sleeveless and does not hide the scales that have gone up her upper arm. "Thank you for taking the time to check me over, when you're injured..."

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

The walk is a little slow for Lily of course, but given Riesenlied's patience it's not a problem. She walks with purpose, like she usually does, but slow purpose; she happens to be looking around on the way, particularly at the crayon drawings and the sign that tug at her heart. "So this is where they live..." A srew. It's... It's very Wayside.

For her part, Lily is dressed as she was before, in her casual outfit with the long-sleeved shirt. The scales she glances at as she takes a moment, with some discomfort, to pull her arm from the sling and hang it. Her left hand is immobilzed from the wrist with a brace, and she removes the glove loosely over it, revealing the strange markings on her fingers. Her other hand she degloves with her teeth.

"You're welcome, Riesenlied," Lily says in her usual quiet voice. "I value your health." She pauses, and says with a shake of her head, "And I'd rather be doing something useful. All right."

"First, go ahead and tell me if you've had any pain or stiffness lately, particularly about these new growths. You can have a seat on the bed there, I'll bring a chair."

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Riesenlied glances at those markings -- she's seen them once before, a long while back. She nods as Lily says she'd rather do something useful, knowing well that sentiment. That's generally how she gets into trouble for overexerting herself, after all.

She sits on the bed, gesturing towards a nearby chair that looks like it might be used for storytime, judging from how there are smaller chairs nearby. "I've... been feeling more faint, more frequently," she admits. "I feel like I've grown... weaker, actually."

She looks towards the hand that's just about been scaled all over, squeezing it gently. "It feels... harder? To focus my strength, whether in my arm or leg. It's been a problem with fighting, that's why I've focused on creating pinions to make up for it..."

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

They glow faintly, currently blue, those markings. Both hands still have them, and well, Lily is almost certainly about to overexert herself just like Riesenlied tends to. Moving around is easier as long as she doesn't bend, but she's sure about to bend.

She picks up the chair one-handed, bringing it in front of Riesenlied to sit there so she can look her over. "Faintness. Has there been any change in your diet, known illness, or unusual temperature extremes in your environment in that time?"

Weaker... Lily nods.

"I see," she says, and beckons Riese's hand closer. "It may be that these changes are new, and your body has to adapt to the physical chanes. But I can't know for sure."

When given the hand, she uses her own good hand to palpitate the scales, shifting with her fingers to squeeze here and there and get a feeling for it.

"Avoid fighting for now; you may need rest. But... This is all premature until I know how you got these growths."

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

The scales are undeniably metallic, even though they lack the usual shine of such metal, having more of a matte quality to them. It's reminiscent of the scales of Metal Dragons, as Lily's seen them -- both in Wayside, and that one in Adlehyde she didn't quite kill...

Riesenlied winces at the touch just a little, but not overtly so -- there is feeling on those scales, at least, it isn't like she's developed armour she feels no physical connection to.

"... I think it was exposure to Equites," she admits. "I started having the phenomenon back when I was exposed to Celesdue in Adlehyde... and-- a second encounter with a Guardian appears to have exacerbated it more..."

A pause. "But... that's just conjecture..." She bobs her head. "I haven't eaten differently... and you know my illnesses. The coughing and weak spells, nothing new..." But no less concerning.

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

This too is part of why Lily took off her glove, to make sure she could gather as much data as possible. She is not the type to do a lot of touching, a Riesenlied knows. "Hmm..."

She spots the wince, and nods, as if this too is useful information. Mostly because it is. Her bad hand she rests in her lap beside Riesenlied's hand as she lets said hand go.

"The Guardians," Lily repeats thoughtfully. "I see. I wonder... Could it be that their presence is difficult for you, as a Metal Demon? ...It's all speculation. I don't have enough data to analyze why it's happening, or even consider helping you with reversing it."

"Conjecture is natural. I appreciate the information. ...The coughing and weak spells concern me, but I can start with the weakness you complain of. What I'm going to do is write you up a physical therapy regimen. If you feel weak, then the solution may be the same as weakness in limbs in other circumstances."

"Otherwise, I'd like to analyze you for a few days, so that I can see some of this for myself."

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

"... my senses seem to have grown stronger, on the other side," Riesenlied admits, her lips curling up and thinning very slightly. "I'm not quite certain, but it's... possible. The Guardians are wont to call us 'anathema'... but I have no proof of whether or not my physiology really is counteracted by their presence."

She's skeptical if it's a global phenomenon -- they'd have a lot more trouble if the Material summons were particularly harmful to Demons.

"Physical therapy... yes, I can do that," Riesenlied nods. "Analyse me..." She lets out an 'mm'. "If I had to express it, it's like... the sense of where 'Riesenlied' begins and ends is... slightly blurrier, if that makes sense? And when it is at its worse, I fall into that trance like when we went to the desert..."

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

"That's important," Lily says. "We can test your senses to a degree. I don't have all the equipment I would like for that, and it's not at all my specialty, but I'll do what I can." She pauses. "We'd have to experiment to get that data, and I'm not willing to seek out a Guardian just to expose you and potentially make things worse so that we know."

Lily has the ability to summon one now, but...

She'd be skeptical of that too. The talk of Riesenlied agreeing to therapy gets a nod, Lily's single eye focused on Riesenlied's eyes. "I'll do that soon. Then..." She considers.

"That's... A problem," Lily admits, "But it honestly..." She sighs, shaking her head with a closed eye. "It makes total sense. But it tells me the solution may not be in regular medicine at all. I've never tried to treat a magical condition like this before."

"However, I intend to try." Her eye opens.

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Riesenlied knows that many more Drifters have the capability to summon Guardians now... will this cause a massive problem for her, when misunderstandings arise? She doesn't quite know, but...

"Magical condition... mm," Riesenlied makes a quiet noise. "One of our researchers, Kalve... he said that I was becoming slightly more unstable, last he examined me." There is a pause. "The... small... particles, he said, that make up who I am." It's said as if she doesn't quite understand the science behind it either.

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

It occurs to Lily, too, that it may be; all the more reason to understand this sooner rather than later, as much as is possible. Is she enough of a doctor for this...?

"He... Hrm." She considers that. "I admit, I don't know anything about that. I have no way of even testing for that. But I know that when I use magic, sometimes the best way to do it is to blur those lines that you mentioned. Or to... extend out into the world. Even if it's not the same thing... It might be useful in testing you."

"If you're up for it. It would be completely experimental."

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

"... but it's the same-- principle, I think," Riesenlied shares. "When I close my eyes to reach out to someone, to try to hear their voice, feel their emotions... it is like blurring the lines between myself and others. Even if the means... may not be quite as magical."

Then again, sufficiently advanced technology...

She tilts her head. "Hmm... what do you mean? To-- reach out to you, you mean, Miss Lily?"

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

"Mm... I see," Lily replies. "The same principle... I admit, your abilities seem magical to me. But you would know better than I am what they are. ...Did you have these feelings before the recent meeting with the Guardians, of blurring those lines?"

Lily pauses, and sits back up in her chair with a wince and a sharp intake of breath. She shakes her head. "Yes," she then answers. "Not necessarily yet, or now, though maybe. And I'll try to analyze it with my magical senses. I'm not... Expert at that, but I'll try to... open my own abilities to you. I don't reach out to others to feel their emotions; I simply feel some of the emotions around me, without trying. It was.. Confusing, for a while."

"But if this condition is mystical, as it might be concerning the Guardians... Maybe a magical medic is what you need."

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

"I've..." Riesenlied pauses to think closer on it. "I've /wanted/ something like it. That was why Laevateinn... was meant to pacify, rather than harm or destroy. To... soothe and otherwise try to reduce the aggression present in the battlefield."

A hesitant pause. "But what happened when I used it on Id... that was the first time I did so after Adlehyde, and-- as you know, I connected with him, unexpectedly..."

She breathes and says, "... I think-- I think that would be good. I know you have similar senses... you've told me how being around a crowd is-- difficult." A pause. "I agree. Maybe a magical medic is what I need."

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

"It was really something," Lily recalls, her eye growing distant for a moment. "Mm..." She waits, studying Riese through that hesitation. She encourages with, "I remember."

Lily reaches out to place her hand on Riesenlied's, a little shift in her breath as she does, subtle; touching, after all. Her fingers glow blue up at Riesenlied's eyes.

"Yes. It's... Different, since the Guardians healed me, but that's still true sometimes. I--" She pauses, and suddenly shakes her head. "Nevermind. That isn't important."

"This is what we can do. Maybe the way we differ can help you assert your own individuality further, to prevent your blending from going /too/ far." She keeps a very serious look. "...Just remember, you're my friend, but you're also my patient. You can come to me." She pauses before, "...Not that I think you're hiding something. But you can share things even if they seem strange."

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Riesenlied gazes towards Lily's touch, where her fingers glow blue. It hadn't glowed like that before, she thinks... it was because the Malevolence was healed? So much she doesn't know.

She's glad it's different -- probably... easier? Malevolence has a way of homing in on the negative aspects, after all. But she doesn't want to voice that.

She smiles weakly. "Asserting my own individuality... it is true that that is difficult for me sometimes," she admits. "Noeline would be the first to chide me on doting on others so much I forget myself sometimes. But... yes, I'm happy to call you friend as well... doctor."

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

Lily doesn't move to explain; she just glances down, and then back up, to see where Riesenlied's eyes went, and squeezes her hand. There's the barest amount of self-consciousness apparent in those few moments...

"Riesenlied..." Lily smiles, faintly, a reserved sort of expression that for her at least is nevertheless clear. "Maybe I could teach you a few lessons about that," she says wryly. "Still..." She trails off briefly, "I'm not technically a doctor. I deployed before finishing the extra training." It's not quite wistful. "But you can call me that if you like."

Lily pauses and then shifts out of her seat, moving back over to her bag. "Let me grab my medical bag and take your vitals. Might as well start observing properly."

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

"You're more doctor than I ever can claim myself," Riesenlied chuckles. "My own training only extended to herbal remedies during my life with the tribe, after all." It's better than nothing, but Riese would be the first to admit it's rather rudimentary compared to what others are capable of.

She holds a hand to her chest slowly, and says, "Yes, doctor." T-there might just be a bit of teasing in that... or maybe she's just happy to call her that? It's hard to tell, since she's so earnest.

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

"I'd like to finish," Lily admits, "But I don't have room for that kind of thing in my life." A little shake of her head, "Regardless, herbal remedies are a good place to start. If you locate any of the plants you used in this region, I'd love to know. When I was in the field, I had to try to make use of what I found in the field when our medical supplies ran low."

She pauses, and maybe it is teasing, but Lily looks a little longer than she needs to. "...Heh." She seems happy to be called it.

But in short order she's back with a stethoscope, a notebook with pen, a little long flat object (a tongue depressor), and a sleeve with an air pump. They all go on her lap after she sits.

"Now, I'm going to listen to your chest. I don't know much about Metal Demon anatomy, but I assume you have lungs and a heart of some kind." She pauses. "...But I can't do this through that fabric."

She can start elsewhere... But for the moment she just looks expectantly at her patient.

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

"I'm slowly learning from Miss Jacqueline," Rieselnied admits in turn. "Most of my herbal recipes are from the Arctican region, so my knowledge and recipes haven't been very usable outside of those that grow in both... but, I'll do that."

A lungs and heart...

She's just about startled out of that as she flushes to murmur, "A-ah? Of course..." as she-- looks left and right... Riese, who's going to be spying in your room right now?

(The answer is a Seraph, always a Seraph!!)

Fortunately, Riesenlied can see Seraphs, so she doesn't need to worry about any Serapeephing Toms. She reaches behind her and zips the garment down, and somewhere Noeline is getting jealous awful quickly.

"Is that enough...?" she bashfully asks. "I'm not sure myself, but I'm sure I can ask Cetiri to give you a biological chart if there are any differences..."

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

"Sounds like a good place to go," Lily says offhandedly. "Jay's good, for that matter. Her medicine is the only reason I get any sleep."

Lily is entirely calm as Riesenlied flushes. She doesn't tease, she doesn't really anything rather than just wait... Thanks to her training, she doesn't even laugh.

Lily wouldn't appreciate any Serapeephing Toms herself. While Noeline might get jealous, Lily has... Pretty much entirely a non-reaction. She has seen a /lot/ of people in various stages of undress.

But when Riesenlied is shy like that, Lily nods, reassuring with her tone, "It's just fine. You're doing good." She puts on the stethoscope, with difficulty, but pauses at Riesenlied's suggestion. "I'd appreciate that. If someone's already studied this, then I don't have to invent the wheel."

"Now, this is going to be cold." Once she gives Riesenlied a moment to prepare herself, Lily places it against her, listening to her heart and to her lungs in turn, very business like. On the lungs, "Cough." and so on until she has what she needs. She listens from behind as well after standing over Riesenlied to do so. Regardless of what she finds, she sits down after, takes it off, and starts recording things in her notebook.

...It's a very strange language, if Riesenlied looks. "You can dress," Riesenlied's new doctor says.

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Riesenlied does squint just a little and feel the cold feeling of the stethoscope on her undergarment -- she coughs quietly, and coughs again, the second one coming less deliberate and more like something just spiked up.

The sounds probably are a bit different, given how Metal Demons are still ultimately metallic, despite being a living and breathing organism with biological needs; sound-based diagnoses are going to have different results, though the way she breathes, the way her organs pulsate appear to not be too unusual compared to that of a human's.

Lily's assessment is that of someone who has trouble getting clear breaths; not enough to be life-threatening, given how Riesenlied is, but her breaths may not be granting her as much air throughout her body as she could be receiving, and in turn, could be exacerbating the arrythmic pulsations that she can hear from her heart, which could contribute to the fatigue and dizzy spells.

... is what might be happening for a human patient, but it may not be easy to draw the same conclusions for a Metal Demon patient.

"... I've... never been checked like this by a doctor before," she admits bashfully. "It's a bit different." She nods and pulls her gown back up.

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

Lily notes each cough. The sounds /are/ different than she's used to. She can imagine analogies for some, understand how it /might/ be, but she can't be certain at this early stage. "I'll have to share these with Cetiri... If you don't mind."

She considers, but doesn't have long to be introspective; Riesenlied's admission gets her attention. "I'm sure it must be strange," Lily says. "Heh, I'm usually much faster than this, and much less conversational. All efficiency, ship someone back out to their bunks or the battlefield. I'd be checking for injuries more, too." She shakes her head.

"Tell me if you're uncomfortable with anything. What I found makes me wonder... Would you say you're having any particular trouble breathing today?" She waits for the answer and then gently takes Riesenlied's wrist, pressing down on what she /hopes/ is a vein and taking her pulse. After that effort and about a minute, she's already picking up the strange sleeve and slipping it up Riesenlied's arm. "But honestly... I think this helps me get to know someone. I get a sense for what they're like, for what's bothering them... It's easier to deal with people this way. I'm not sure that would make sense. You know I'm not comfortable with people generally."

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

"... I think that makes sense," Riesenlied admits in turn, coughing gently. "And it's fine to share, she's basically been my physician all this time... I'm sure she'll be able to share more with you too, since she created me."

A pause. Her pulse shares the same evidence as that of her heart -- arrythmic beating, though it's not as noticeable out here than it was at its source. "I think that's fair to say... poor weather conditions like sandstorms or dusty places like the desert tend to exacerbate it. I remember her telling me that Demons have a way to filter impurities like sand out of our systems naturally, but mine is not as effective at doing so..."

She glances towards the sleeve, holding her arm up. "I've... heard of other medical officers say that they like that. That knowing them clinically makes them feel better, since they think they can better help them that way, when they're confused with words... hehe..."

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

"I'm glad. I'm guessing, at this point, but some things at this point I think /do/ work largely the same. ...How much of that results from your Tainted physiology and how much is naturally the case for Metal Demons, I don't know." Lily at this point doesn't even have the grind in her voice that suggests Metal Demons are difficult, despite the issues she's had with them in the past. "Created you, though... It's strange to think of it that way, a person being created." She pauses. "You know, I'd be asking your mother as a human, too. I'd be asking for family history, rather than... insight as to your creation, but even so."

The arrythmic beating is concerning, but Lily won't call it a problem before she knows. "Mm, yes, I see." Lily records the numbers regardless, and inclines her head. "That must be useful to have. You may be able, with the technology available, to filter some of the air in buildings, which would help you."

Riesenlied says that, and Lily pauses, actally flushing faintly, closing her eye. "Ah..." She dips her head, "I admit, it's like that. And I've often been confused with words. ...You should've seen what I was like before I met Leon. ...I was better for a while, but..."

Lily shakes her head. "Well, war has impacts on everyone. Here, this will be tight, and maybe a little painful, but brief." With the sleeve in place, Lily tightens it--holding her arm against the band as she does--and starts testing blood pressure. "After this I just want a look at the back of your mouth and then we're done. You've been doing good bearing up through all of this."

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

"I've... noticed a not insignificant amount of similarities between how we and humans work," Riesenlied admits. "From the way most of us are humanoid, the way we adapt and share language and culture... it's..."

A pause.

"I wonder if it was part of Mother's plan all along, to find a place where we may be able to bond with a new species?" Either that, or... replace them, but... well, Riesenlied is very optimistic, if not naive, in her faith.

It hasn't turned out well for her.

"Shalune did speak about an air filter of some kind... in the meantime, I've just been cleaning the building regularly," Riesenlied muses in turn. "Ah, thank you... checkups back home are nothing like this, but it's... interesting. This is how humans are diagnosed..."

She winces just a little at the pressure... it seems like her blood pressure may be a bit low -- which could be tied into the irregular beating of her heart, and subsequently, the faintness of her breathing.

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

"You told me once that your people aren't so different from mine," Lily points out. "...I'd wonder how much of that extends physiologically, but I'm finding out." She pauses.

Lily has a great poker face, though she isn't trying to put one on exactly. "I wouldn't know. I don't know much about Mother beyond her apparently being someone that will destroy the world if awoken." Gently, "It would be nice if that were true though."

Shalune has it covered? Of course she does. "It's good to do. I recommend you let someone else handle the cleaning for a while--at least the sweeping and dusting. See if that improves your breathing at all."

Lily catches the wince, and while she doesn't stop, she makes sure she does it right the first time. Releasing the pressure, Lily copies down the numbers and adds, "For a human your blood pressure is pretty low. Cetiri may be able to tell me more, but if the numbers are comparable... This gives me some ideas about your treatment. After I talk with Cetiri, I'm going to prescribe you a cough suppressant and something for your blood pressure. This is in addition to our magical considerations. If Jay comes I'll get the medicine for you from her."

She pauses, and smiles faintly. "One more thing. Open your mouth up wide for me. I'm checking for any obvious inflammations. I doubt it, but you're coughing so it's good to rule out."

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Riesenlied visibly flinches as Lily mentions how Mother will destroy the world if awoken. It's obvious she's trying to not react, but some part of her trembles as she erratically breathes; she's been struggling with it, and it shows. "Yeah... that's what the Guardians and Fei said too..."

She bobs her head and looks to Lily. "Low blood... pressure..." She doesn't sound like she's familiar with the term, but Riesenlied isn't someone who's been shown to be particularly medically aware in general. "Ah, I tried a cough suppressant from a wandering chemist girl I met... Jay's has been pretty good too."

For the blood pressure... "I've never... thought much about my own blood other than it appears red rather than silver, admittedly..."

A pause, as she opens her mouth bashfully. "Aah..."

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

Lily pauses, understanding her misake. "...I'm sorry," she says. "I was blunt, while I'm supposed to be keeping you at ease." Lily knows the Guardians said it because that's where /she/ heard it, though she's had other talks about Mother.

Most people don't know that much about their own health, Lily finds, and yet she fell into talking about it otherwise anyway. "Ah, good," Lily says. "We'll keep you on it then, assuming you don't have particularly bad side-effects. I should've asked before; are you taking any other medicines at the moment?"

She pauses, nodding to Riesenlied, but says nothing else until she leans forward and peers in, tilting her head back and forth. "...All right." It might be uncomfortable, having Lily stare right into her mouth, but this she writs down too.

It takes up another page, and as Lily turns the page, Riesenlied can see if she looks that it's a language she's seen at least once but not often.

"All right then. That's what I needed. I'll skip seeing how many pushups you can do." Was that a joke? It might not have been a joke. "As for blood pressure... Suffice to say that it may explain some of your weakness spells."

Lily waits, and dips her head. "You were a very good patient. Good work."

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

There's a kind of awkward noise from Riesenlied as she keeps her mouth open, but she copes! She doesn't really have any swelling from the throat, no...

"... it's all right," Riesenlied admits in turn. "... it would... be so easy to say 'you're wrong; Mother isn't like that', but... that would be doing the feelings and memories of a lot of other people a disservice." To face the painful unknown head on, that one may search truth, as K.K. has once said to them... rather than shy away from the service of it, to revel in safe ignorance.

"I don't think there were... but I've since run out, I'm not scheduled to meet them again until a few weeks from now," Riesenlied admits. "Jay's the closer pharmacist that I see, really..."

She looks to the language again as she expresses, "Do you write... in the same language as the ancient texts -- like the one from Colisea? I'm-- just curious." There's beneficial reasons to do that... like wanting to protect your notes from the enemy, in a wartime situation.

A pause. "E-eh? Pushups?" She tilts her head. "Ah, I'm glad you could find something out..."

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

Lily is so used to it that she doesn't even react to the awkward noise. What she finds is good enough, and is the last thing to record for now. She can compile general thoughts about same anytime. But... Before any of that...

"...I'm not going to argue with you facing that idea. But whether it's all right or not, it wasn't what I wanted to do. I guess we can leave it at that."

"All right, then I'll leave the instructions with you. Mostly I have a few things I want her to watch out for in giving you medicine. Those I'll settle on once I talk with Cetiri."

She pauses, at the question, and glances to the side. "You saw that." A pause, "Yes, I do. For a few practical reasons, but... Mostly it helps me think. It... Feels right to use. I'm sure that sounds like nonsense, but it does help me think."

Lily grins a moment later. "Pushups. Fitness benchmarks. ...But not necessary for you right now. I am glad I could learn a few things though."

"I'll get you the physical therapy instructions. And we'll have to arrange to sit down and try your reaching. I'm going to be here while I recover if I can help it, so I have the time."

<Pose Tracker> Riesenlied has posed.

Riesenlied nods gently as she says, "Thank you, Miss Lily. You've been a really great help... Jay's asked me as much if there's anything she should watch out for, but I've never been able to really answer her with certainty."

She tilts her head with a quiet 'hmm', and then says, "I think I understand... I sometimes find myself writing in old script at times, since that's when I first learnt to read and write."

There's a flushed look from Riesenlied's face as she says, "I--I'll do my best at physical therapy--"

"Riesemamaaa..." calls a familiar young voice as an adorable bundle of black hair and little wings barges in--

--before she eeks! and hides behind the door. "Um, dinner's ready! S-should I tell the others you'll be a while...?"

"It's okay, Mikaia," Riesenlied expresses as she gestures for her to come closer. "Shall we have dinner, Lily...?"

'Riesemama', huh...?

<Pose Tracker> Lily Keil has posed.

"I'm glad. That's what I prefer to be." Lily regards Riesenlied through that nod, her golden eye settled calmly on her. Maybe Riesenlied does understand. But Lily seems not entirely to; she looks distant for a moment, at the talk of when Riesenlied first learned. ...Is it at that? "Ah... That would make sense, wouldn't it?" But she doesn't voice whatever it was that she stopped to think there. She instead says, "I'll use a language you actually know for my instructions."

Riesenlied flushing gets a little huff of amused breath from Lily, but before she can say more an adorable voice barges into the room. Riesemama... Lily's heart definitely looks to thaw a little, visible obviously in her eyes. "Ah..."

"Hello again," Lily says to Mikaia, wincing as she leans over too much. "...Yes, Riesenlied. Let's. It's about time anyway. If you'd help me put these things away, I'll be able to join everyone."

With the orphans, even. Lily smiles faintly. It's one that sticks for a while, though.
