<Pose Tracker> Yue Rohay has posed.

The Battle of Luca is concluded.

The refugee camps and other shelters have dotted the Mi'ihen Highroad for those that have not been able to flee elseplace, such as Besaid and further up into Djose territory... and the refugees have also found a curious neighbour next to all this:

CR-S01's sideways-up prison cell.

It's in a shallow crater where Ambrosius and others first found it. Yue is standing in front of it with Minder No. 7, a quiet smile on her face as she hums in thought.

"... well, I guess if we can't tip it over, you'll just have to return to your cell sideways, CR-S01."

Yue tilts her head. "... 'tis not the ideal solution. But fairer than having my collection burn down."

<Pose Tracker> Ambrosius has posed.

Ambrosius has been taking it easy since the Battle of Luca. In the end, there was not much else for him to do, and it seemed wise to take some time to recuperate before returning to his original mission. That did not preclude travel, however - and so it is that he appears in front of a certain prison cell that has find itself in a precarious situation.

"It is a shame..." Ambrosius says, approaching them in the middle of their conversation. "Were my golem here...riiighting it would be a simple task..."

He pauses for a moment as he comes to a stop.

"However...with so many eyes...perhaaaps it is for the best..." He comments, with a slight chuckle.

<Pose Tracker> Yue Rohay has posed.

Yue turns around where the Minder's helmet lights up with a =D expression. "Ambrosius! I'm proud to tell you I eventually got CR-S01 to do her duty," she beams.

Yue slumps her head one way with a wry little smile. "You were pleased I engaged in sport for eclairs?"

The Minder is silent for a while, grumping.

"... a Golem, is it?" Yue addresses Ambrosius. "I glimpsed the two in the harbour. 'Tis an unmistakable show of hand, that one. Perchance was it one of them?"

<Pose Tracker> Ambrosius has posed.

Ambrosius can't help but chuckle a little as the Minder looks pleased, and then grumps at Yue's retort.

"Nevertheless...eeexcellent work, No. 7... You did well." Ambrosius states, then looks toward Yue with a shake of his head.

"No...those were both Kaguya's..." He corrects. Technically one of them was being piloted by Leo, but Ambrosius doesn't bring this up. "Mine is taller, and more lithe..."

He pauses.

"...Also, blue. My Nimue...is made for construuuction..." He explains. Though, of course, the Golem was more than capable of destruction, should it come to that. "But...perhaps Kaguya would have a soluuution...otherwise...we may wish to make a reeequest...of the Sentinel..."

<Pose Tracker> Yue Rohay has posed.

"Lady Kaguya's, say you..." Yue muses about that for a while longer.

Minder No. 7 puts her hands to her waist to remark, "I've heard of her. She's related to Commander Amaterasu, right? I want to go say hello! She's such a hero of the Veruni people!"

Yue's smile is a little more enigmatic. "... ... I imagine you may find yourself with a fine peer, dear Minder."

She opens her eyes and listens a little closer.

"... the Sentinel, too. Would they expend effort for a convict? Though it is true this stands out and poses a risk of looting and scavenging."

<Pose Tracker> Ambrosius has posed.

"Iiindeed... She is an iiintelligent young woman who has done much for our people... Our footing in this world...is thanks entiiirely to her efforts..." Ambrosius explains - for Yue's sake more than the Minder's, who seems to have already heard a great deal.

He looks toward Yue then, and thinks for a moment as she questions whether or not the Sentinel would be willing to help.

"Seeentinel Elvis...is a good man... I am certain he would not ignooore your pliiight..." Ambrosius confirms with a nod, and then smiles slightly to himself. "Though...you may run the risk...of having him rope the both of you...into an eeexpedition... His love and appreeeciation for sciiience...surpasses even my own..."

<Pose Tracker> Yue Rohay has posed.

"An expedition for science's sake with the Sentinel Elvis?!" the Minder's expression erupts into a genuine =O. She psyches herself up and pumps both fists as she says, "CR-S01! We ought to contribute for the sake of science!"

"... ... ah. I was wondering when I would resume Digging," Yue lets out a very bemused little response. "Still... ..."

A pause, as she glances to the camp.

"Dear Minder. Pray attend to your suit reservoir. I believe it is running low."

The Minder looks alarmed as she looks to a little panel to go, "Wah! Oh no, it is! I'll be right backkk..." as she hurries right off.

... Yue has quite the means to send off the person who should be ensuring she doesn't escape, doesn't she? "... ah, such a handful," Yue chuckles. "Friend, have you made new acquaintances in the recent past?"

<Pose Tracker> Ambrosius has posed.

Ambrosius can't help but chuckle a little at the exuberant response the mention of Elvis gets. He pauses, though, as Yue sends off her Minder, leaving the two of them alone.

There's a wistful smile at the question Yue asks him, and Ambrosius finds his gaze tracking upward to the sky.

"Indeed. To discuss them all would be a long tale...but I have met quite a few interesting individuals since I left." He replies. "This mission has afforded me that much, at least."

<Pose Tracker> Yue Rohay has posed.

"... ... that is good," Yue answers, rather obviously sending the Minder away so they had some time to talk between themselves. "It has been a while since..."

A pause, as she lowers her head. It almost feels like she'd take her hat off if she had one, but alas, she does not. Her ahoge goes 'fwoop' instead.

"Imprisoned as I am... all I can gather of you is from your prose, quite far removed, my friend," Yue chuckles. "I had feared... perhaps Metis' departure left quite a vacuum."

<Pose Tracker> Ambrosius has posed.

'A while since'. Yue doesn't finish the sentence, but she doesn't need to. Ambrosius nods quietly.

"Indeed, it has been." He says. He shuts his eyes for a brief moment, thinking back to that day, but he opens his eyes with a slight smile as she mentions his prose.

"...You would not be mistaken. For a time...it was difficult. I was...distraught, and it felt like the world had ceased to carry any meaning. It felt like I had been trapped in an inescapable mire." He comments. It was a dark time in his life, reflected in his work. "But...I was able to push forward, little by little, in hopes of doing justice to her memory."

There's a slight, but fond chuckle after that.

"...I have even begun passing on what she taught me to those I believe able to put it to good use." He says. "I would like to think she approves."

<Pose Tracker> Yue Rohay has posed.

There's a long and quiet smirk for a moment, from Yue. She regards her friend's countenance closely, nodding.

"... I will speak plain. It struck me with fear for a moment, to hear that you had joined the ranks as a soldier," Yue admits. "'Tis your life to lead, however, and mine voice is but commentary upon it."

She bobs her head one way. "The demands of our people are not easy to meet. No doubt you have had much conflict. Hearing firsthand what those Drifters had to say was not easy. But..."

She looks up to the skies, her cucco feather bobbling gently in her mouth.

"If there exist those that you can pass her teachings on... that may well be best. That you have those kinds of people too."

<Pose Tracker> Ambrosius has posed.

Ambrosius nods. He's quiet for a moment, as he considers it.

"...It was not an easy decision to make. But...I believed it my best opportunity to see that world, our Filgaia." He explains. Conflict...that gets another nod, though a bit more subdued.

"...Indeed. There has been...much strife." He agrees. "More than once, have I had to face those who were merely wishing to protect their home. I do not relish it."

And that was not to mention how it had, more than once, put him against those he would consider close, important friends.

And as for the sort of people he could pass her teachings onto...

"It...does offer me some relief." He agrees. "More and more lately am I beginning to understand why she believed the way she did."

Though, in many ways that made his own job more difficult.

<Pose Tracker> Yue Rohay has posed.

There's an almost too-wry smirk from Yue as she says, "Friend, you could have also gone the path of becoming a lifelong convict and be sent to all the most lurid and bizarre corners even Veruni explorers in enviro suits do not dare to traverse."

A pause.

"It is a jest. And I say the long excursions are still somehow preferrable to Duogrammaton's death games," she chuckles.

Yue quiets down and listens a while longer, though. She lowers her head and smiles, this time with her eyes hidden behind her fringes.

"... the understanding that one self-achieves is priceless contrast to those that are fed to us through lecture and text books. I am glad you say you are gleaning that, my friend."

Though it makes his job more difficult. She knows that very well.

Doesn't the Minder, in her own way, after all?

<Pose Tracker> Ambrosius has posed.

Ambrosius chuckles slightly, taking a moment to appreciate Yue's wry humor.

"I imagine. I have seen some of your shows." Ambrosius comments. He wouldn't wish those on anyone. "At the very least, I am sure this incident is a welcome change."

He goes quiet though, as the conversation returns to a more somber topic. He nods quietly.

"...Yes. It is one thing to hear the words, and to know them, and another vastly different to truly understand, and know the meaning." He agrees. "If I had understood sooner..."

Would he have made the choices he did? He pauses for a moment, however, and shakes his head.

"...But, I suppose the journey was necessary. And...I gained much along the way." He decides.

<Pose Tracker> Yue Rohay has posed.

"Friend! You never told me you saw them. I am mortified now," Yue answers, though the light smirk on her face seems to indicate that she doesn't seem to be that mortified.

She does pause a little longer, though, lowering her head.

"'Tis folly to dwell too deeply upon trails we did not take," Yue speaks. "That you have those that you can teach... ... I suppose you will come sooner or later to a moment of truth, friend."

She plays with that feather in her mouth, lightly chewing on the stem for a moment.

"It shall not be easy. It never is. Yet... I believe you will carry Metis' philosophy onward, in whichever shape it may take."

<Pose Tracker> Ambrosius has posed.

Ambrosius just smirks, leaving it at that. Instead, he looks up at the sky with a pensive expression as Yue continues.

A moment of truth...what truth would he come to, he wondered...? The future spreads out like the branches of a vast tree, and even he isn't certain where it'll take him.

But...

"If you truly believe that...then it means much to me, that you can say that. Thank you." Ambrosius replies, bowing his head slightly in appreciation. "I shall do my best - for our people, and her as well."

<Pose Tracker> Yue Rohay has posed.

"... I will support you, for her sake as well," Yue nods.

The Minder hurries up the path after Ambrosius finishes his words, a tinny synthetic huff coming from her as she puffs to go, "All filled up!"

Yue tilts her head and remarks, "Good. The last time you ran out of onboard water you passed out."

The Minder grumps with a =S as she exclaims, "C-CR-S01! You will not regale Ambrosius with such embarrassing tales! I am a capable member of the Veruni too!"

"Very capable indeed," Yue nods. "Well. I believe I shall retire to my sideways gaol. I would invite you, Ambrosius, but an upright cell is terribly uncomfortable, let alone a sideways one..."

"... you can bunk up on your hundreds of books, maybe," mumbles the Minder.

<Pose Tracker> Ambrosius has posed.

Ambrosius raises his head just as the Minder returns, giving a nod of greeting in her direction. There is a hint of smile as she grumps.

"Indeed. If you were not, you would not have the role you currently possess. We are counting on you, No. 7." He replies sincerely, before returning his attention toward Yue.

"I appreciate the offer, but I have my own arrangements that I should be returning to. Do take care, both of you - you have been through much these past few days."

With that, he returns to depart - though with much now to mull over. Still, that was not a bad thing.
