SITE REPORT
SOLARIAN SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND (SOLSOC)
Prepared by Loren Voss
Authorized for release to Gebler Special Exploratory Group (SEG)
(Clearance-confirmed contractors included)

SCENE LOG: A Beautiful Song
LOCATION: Rujm el-Hiri, 'The Singing Ruins'
PARTICIPANTS: 2LT Voss, 'Diablos Attacker', Neriah Parringer, Layna Manydays, Kourin, 'Virginia'
RELICS RECOVERED: Unusual floating gem; claimed by Drifter in group
PRE-EXPLORATION SUMMARY: Following up on a rumor about an alleged Zeboim-era ruin, I traveled to the site to conduct an external survey while en route to my assignment. Site located in mountainous region between the Adlehyde Region and 'Badlands'; site classified as ruins, Megalith Type. Age uncertain.
EXPLORATION SUMMARY: Notes on Drifters:
  • 'Diabolos Attacker' (please see POI report)
  • Neriah Parringer (please see POI report)
  • Layna Manydays (human female, 20s-30s?, experienced in combat)
  • Kourin (human female, 20s?, use of ice-focused sorcery of unfamiliar school, sword-fighting skills, accompanied by dog)
  • 'Virginia' (human (?) female, apparent teens, demonstrated staggering skill with black-flame oriented sorcery, appears unstable, possesses some sort of dimensional alteration ability)

Site determined to be atypical from external analysis, further investigation revealed presence of the Diabolos Attacker from the mission in Adlehyde. Ruins featured odd-angled buried architecture, traps, and geological anomalies (a river of ash), along with black butterfly-shaped hostiles.

After setbacks (please see POI report on Neriah Parringer) and intrusions from hostiles from the ruins, we reached the heart of Rujm el-Hiri. An apparent but unused Gear hangar of was witnessed near the heart of the ruins.

Site appears to be only a section overlooking a buried city of uncertain age; this could not be accessed on foot. Apparent human remains were uncovered; I could not get a sample as the Diabolos Attacker disintegrated them. The woman named Kourin claimed an unusual floating gem from one of the bodies with agreement from others; did not intervene lest this disturb my cover.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Throughout the location there was an unending song in an audibly unfamiliar language, though this was somehow 'translated' in my mind. Strong recommendation for additional survey, particularly regarding potential access to city ruins. Geological dating would helpful in pinpointing age of site. Investigate the name 'Ge Ramtos'.
