Essentially cheerful and positively optimistic, Josephine Lovelace -- known as Josie to friends -- represents one of perhaps many archaeologists who have slipped somewhere along the line from pure archaeology into Drifter-hood. Until-recently active in the Aveh region by all accounts, she's since been in hot pursuit of old contacts of hers across Ignas. Known to be an accomplished Symbologist, she appears to have gained some notable skills in ARMs recently. She's never seen anywhere without her pet pigeon, Penelope.
Background
A native from the town of Marze and an archaeologist of some note in the Aveh region, Josephine seems to have found that archaeology wasn't exactly paying the bills and took up Drifter work to supplement her passion. She's recently arrived in Adlehyde, following up on an old colleague of hers who used to be in the area, but the sudden disappearance of her wallet (and her already low funds) means that she has some work to do before she can get down to finding out exactly where her fellow researcher in the region has gotten themself off to.
Finding people takes money, after all.
Powers and Abilities
Josephine fights using a combination of ARMs and Sorcery (specifically, Symbology). Her current ARM weapon is a modern (for Filgaia) rifle. Her Symbology focus is largely supportive, and orients around stopping/stunning where it isn't. She seems to be a pretty good shot when it comes to her rifle.
Relationships
Buddies
- TBA
Associates
- Jude Moshe - Pretty fun; kindred spirit. Owes me a donkey. Might a bounty hunter or something on the side, but we've all got our secrets. Just leave Lily alone, ok?
- Leon Albus - Surprisingly, (ex?) military. Has an interesting ARM. Lily's boyfriend? Fun to harass. Good kid, though -- pretty sharp. Should shape up nicely someday.
- Lily Keil - Surprisingly, (ex?) military. Magic seems odd. Leon's girlfriend. Quiet, has a bounty on her head. Quite fond of her but she should be more careful. Quite a secret, there. Maybe I've gotten a little too fond of her.
Acquaintances
- Bart Fatima - Associate of Leon and Lily. Pirate. A bit reckless, but who am I to judge?
- Catenna - Mysterious girl, devout. Has some unusual magical talents, may ask about this someday. Has come here from a long ways away. Penelope likes her, that counts for a lot.
- Gwen Whitlock - Mysterious kid,
should chat her up about her armdid do this, it was pretty interesting. - Jacqueline Barber - Runs a pharmacy; sells a pretty damn useful wound salve. Remember to go back and get more later.
- Jean - Apparently from the moon; more importantly knows how to drink.
- Rosaline Calice - Nun and Etone. A bit of a pushover but knows some useful things. Reminder: don't actually piss her off, though. Damn.
- Rudy Roughnight - Damn, when did kids get so perceptive? Good kid, though.
- Talise Gianfair - A warrior. Beastman? Owe her some money. Should pay that back. Eventually.
Enemies
- TBA
Josie's Shit List
- K.K. - You're going to judge us? We're too weak? Hell no.
NPCs of Note
Watch this space?
- Penelope - A fancy pigeon. Allegedly a loyal trained bird. Smarter than she seems (but still just a pigeon). Often sulky, may be going through pigeon adolescence or... something. Dangerous to salt shakers.
- Timotheus Lovelace - A powerful Symbologist and a man of significance in Marze. Quite probably related to Josephine. Still distressingly spry despite being nearly 80. Also still not a nice person. (basically this guy, honestly)
