Alisha Diphda is royalty, but only barely. The youngest of the King of Hyland's children and last in the line of succession, she turned to being a knight as a way to serve her kingdom. She is a skilled fighter, trained in the spear and still advised by the Blue Valkyrie, Lady Maltran. It has been a fraught and frustrating path, however. Her idealism has met constant obstacles, as she has tried to look out for her kingdom's people as the Council guides Hyland towards war. Alisha has turned to legends of the Seraphim, seeking out their aid in a world that seems to be going wrong. Her efforts helped uncover the new Shepherd, Sorey. Now, she has allied with him and travels with him on his journey, in the hope that it can bring Hyland peace.
Alisha is from Lunar, so she is capable of using Lunar magic. She has the light elemental and uses White Magic. This is secondary to her first area of expertise: the Azure Lance Style.
This style is practiced by the spear-wielding knights of Hyland, and the master is considered to be Lady Maltran. Many of Alisha's techniques came from Maltran, who taught her, including her finest technique, Light Blast (which obviously incorporates a little of her element, though it is entirely a spear technique). Alisha is capable of doing those techniques with other weapons, too, though her finest is her long bladed spear.
Her magic consists of Litanies. She learned those in Ladylake, taught by the mages in the court. Alisha received some formal instruction, though never as much as a full-fledged mage. She was never considered for traveling to Neo-Vane; her magical prowess isn't nearly so great.
Sorey: The Shepherd and a true friend besides. To say that Alisha is loyal to him is a dramatic understatement.
Rose: A merchant and the leader of the Scattered Bones... and, maybe, her best friend. Alisha adores her, even if they're as different as night and day.
Seraph Lailah: The Seraph who lived in Ladylake's Cathedral and the Prime Lord of their Seraphim. Alisha truly looks up to her, and that she fits the reverence she feels for the Seraphim helps.
Seraph Edna: Lady Edna doesn't quite match Alisha's image of the Seraphim. But, she likes her, despite her sense of humor.
Acquaintances
Cecilia Adlehyde: Another princess, just like her. Cecilia and her spoke about some important things, but the way Cecilia doesn't seem to believe her bothers Alisha a little.
Jacqueline Barber: The leader of the Caravan Kinship, and a nice person! She thought that she might be one of Rose's competitors... but she seemed to be a kind person, who she would like to help again.
Uncertain
Talise Gianfair: Someone from Lunar! Alisha likes her singing, but she isn't sure that she understands the danger of the Lord of Calamity -- or the seriousness of her position. However, she has helped a lot, too. Alisha thinks of her a friend -- but she wonders, at times, if it could stay that way.
Garan Dantear: One of her opponents in the Lacour Tournament of Arms, and a knight of Rolance. She knows they could come to blows one day -- but she respects him, even if she wonders, just by considering him, if the peace she hopes for is possible.
Enemies
Lucia: The Lord of Calamity! Alisha isn't convinced that she is human -- or that Sorey's vow to purify her and save her could work -- but she feels that they must try.
Hiro: One of the Lord of Calamity's lieutenants. She liked him, but then he lied to her about his identity -- but she hopes that he has been corrupted or misled, rather than truly helping her willingly. Of course, he is willing to fight for what he believes in... and that makes it hard.
Jean: Another of the Lord of Calamity's lieutenants! She thought she was nice and hoped they could be friends. But... she doesn't understand how she could choose to help the Lord of Calamity. Or, perhaps, she has been lied to.
Lemina Ausa: The daughter of the premier of the Magic Guild and not Sasha Nash. She doesn't understand why she could stick with the Lord of Calamity -- and is it really over guild dues!? But... she also showed her respect in the tournament. She seems like they could be friends.
Zed: He helped the Lord of Calamity. But... he also had churros, and he seems to have more to him than she would have ever given him credit for. Except, of course, he ended up being a Metal Demon.
