"I can do this! I can definitely do this! HERE GOES NOTHING!"

A nun of the Ethos, Rosaline was born with cat ears and abandoned by her parents in front of an orphanage. Having grown up quite literally cloistered, she fell into the Drifter lifestyle when her home was destroyed. Now, she wanders the wastes not only to find the culprits, but also to raise funds to open a new orphanage. She is sweet and kind, to the point where some might consider her too timid for adventuring. She is armed with a pair of SMGs but unable to hit the broad side of a barn, though still determined to help out with her healing and support spells. Rumor also has it that she hides a violent side, but how could a girl like her even hurt a fly?

Background

Powers and Abilities

Esdras and Judith: A pair of submachinegun-type ARMs, particularly compact ones by Filgaian reckoning. Silver-colored and polished to a mirror sheen, their names were lovingly engraved on each side, along with the Ethos insignia. Rosaline has terrible aim, and seems recalcitrant to even fire those in the first place. Thank God she can purchase ammo at a discount.

Crest Sorcery: Rosaline's true specialty, enabled by several Crest Graphs hanging from a crucifix she carries around her neck. Her usual arsenal trends towards the support- and healing-oriented, with a little offensive magic thrown in as necessary. She never uses fire in more than an utility capacity, for Rydia reasons.

Beastman Athleticism: Rosaline's freaky physiology makes her somewhat easily capable of athletic feats most humans would need dedicated training to manage. It would probably be quite something if she were to really push herself beyond this point. That is, unless her potential were to somehow be inhibited. But, ha ha, that would just be crazy, right?

Berserker Risk: As some of her friends have found out, Rosaline occasionally enters a murderously violent, enraged fugue state is which her gentle personality performs a complete 180. Probably nothing to worry about!

The figure is an artist's interpretation, the floof is real.

Dungeon Tools:

Holy TNT: A bundle of Church-issued explosive with two peculiar magical properties: it can't harm living beings (they should still steer clear of debris, though) and rather than blowing everybody's eardrums out, the noise actually makes listeners feel stronger for a while. All of this perfectly stands up to scrutiny.

Extreme Teen Bible: Some mildly heretical artistic license was taken in this edition of the Word of Granas, in a desperate bid to make it appealing to teenagers with an attitude (i.e., Drifters). Reading it out loud sometimes provides Rosaline an insight into her current predicament, and hopefully motivates her party members in the process.

???: An ancient, terrible magic that should have remained sealed away. No one, Rosaline herself included, realizes that she wields it, let alone how she came to acquire it. Its effects on reality are subtle but maddening, corrupting all. Brave people have caught a mere glimpse of this power, and nearly been destroyed in the process. Blessed and cursed in equal parts, Rosaline must be extremely careful not to abuse it-- It would leave her an agency-free, contrite husk of a catgirl rather than a person.

Only hoary, reclusive scholars dare whisper its forbidden name: moe.

Relationships

Greetings from the status screen!

Mentor

Mother Oba - "Not my first mentor. A very kind, if sometimes demanding woman. I wish I had known more people like her, growing up."

The Fox Company

Ida Everstead-Rey - "The daughter of an Etone and a good follower of Granas in her own right. She seems to have some anger in her but... I'm really in no position to speak."

Talise Gianfair - "A half-beastwoman from the Old Moon. A bit of a hothead, but she has a courage in her it's hard not to admire."

Sephilia Lampbright - "Definitely not a kid. I'll still protect her, or at least help her friend Chauncey do so."

Layna Manydays - "A-A real pirate! She's not quite like those in the stories I've read, but... she's been very nice."

Lord Chauncey of Foxington - "Thank Heavens he's on our side."

Friends & Allies

A Horse with No Name - "I've been through the desert on his back, once. I lost him at the Guardian Temple, but I believe in miracles."

Catenna - "A priestess of the... Baskar, I think? Maybe she needs to hear more about the Word of Granas..."

Claude C. Kenny - "He has proven a dependable, if sometimes odd ally. How does he know so much about Gears? He doesn't seem like the... type."

Elena - "A fellow servant of Granas. She can be rude sometimes, but I think we make a good team."

Gwen Whitlock - "Is this what having a big sister is like...? If everyone on Filgaia were like her, it would be a much better place. I'll be praying for the Super Courier's success."

Matilda Whitehead - "I can get behind wanting to make the world a safer place. I should apologize for crushing her muffin, it looked delicious."

Maya Schrodinger - "I-It's like looking in a mirror... She made a generous offer for our future travels, one I intend to take her up on. Surely she's unrelated to those two other women."

Rudy Roughnight - "I feel a bit silly for treating him the way I did when I first met him... He seems like a good person. I wonder what he's been up to."

Jacqueline Barber - "She's done a lot to help everyone, me included. Since she probably has no choice to hit the road, I hope we meet there."

Josephine Lovelace - "She seems to have her heart in the right place, but hopefully one day she realizes that smoking is bad for you. Her pigeon friend could probably take me in a fight..."

Virginia Maxwell - "My check bounced! Did she make a mistake? She definitely seemed strange, but she seemed so friendly. It's terrible, what happened to her..."

Xantia - "She's very strong, but in some ways she's still just a child. I'll keep an eye on her and protect her, whenever I can."

Those times when you run into a monster and the world gets all pixelated and sideways.

Enemies

Parbody - "Having helped us one time won't counterbalance her constant, egregious sinning!"

Kent Hauch - "I-I swear, the glass of water was an accident... But he and his group will pay for their sins one day, this I swear."

K.K. - "How can someone so evil exist? But maybe my friends and I will be able to stop them from covering Filgaia in darkness."

Yarobeleedt - "Oh no. OH NO."

???

Kalve - "I-Is it really going to be all right? Well, either way, Ida is a friend. I'll keep your secret."

Riesenlied - "I... I don't know what to think anymore. She is no angel, but from what I gather, perhaps no devil either."

Zed - "It seems he really does mean well, in his own unusual way, but I can't help but feel this will end in tragedy. And what is... anime? Do I really want to know?"
