“I always wanted to travel more.”
Lily Keil is the second-in-command and medic of one of Kislev's elite commando teams, the Black Wolves. Kislev's high command accused her and the Captain, Leon Albus, of killing their entire squad while attempting to turn coat to Aveh. Rather than face court martial, she displayed secret sorcerous abilities--previously hidden from her superiors--in order to help them escape. These abilities were similar enough to Gebler's powers that she's now facing charges of espionage in addition to treason. The transition to life as a Drifter has been fairly easy for her, except for a greater melancholy than ever before. She retains a practical, almost ruthless military mindset and an understated sense of humor. While she lost her own ARM, she picked up another thanks to a botched robbery perpetrated against them. Now much of her concern is looking after her Captain while they seek justice for their squad's deaths, answers from their superiors, and the truth of a dangerous automaton called "Gryndille."

Relationships
Friends
- Leon Albus: Everything. What she did to get them both away is still worth it.
Associates
- Bart Fatima: Took Lily on a mission to break someone out of an Aveh prison. Now she's set to work for him more often, and that's fine with her. He seems very competent, though she had to correct his implication that she's a particularly good person. It would be incorrect to suggest that she's warmed up to him, but she's willing very quickly to work with Bart for reasons she doesn't particularly understand herself. Certainly a factor is that his mission--and his missions--represent a tie to her old way of life.
- Josephine Lovelace: Lily doesn't, as a rule, trust. She does however really like Josie, and comes closest so far with her. Josie interests her, though she's hesitant to say as much outright, and Josie has proven to be a useful ally thus far. The truth is simply that while she can't trust so quickly, she does like her.
Acquaintances
- Anna:
- Catenna: Lily liked this woman immediately, though she's not sure that their goals are compatible enough to work together often. Something to be seen. Lily did offer to help her with medical needs while they're in the same locale, as a result of their first meeting. Lily is fascinated by the places she might have been.
- Cassidy Cain: In some ways confusing, and in some ways not; Lily has a lot of questions about this woman, but finds her stories believable. Most of her suspicions are smoothed over by the fact that their meeting was incredibly embarrassing and that Leon seems to have a favorable impression of her. It may yet prove to be a dangerous lapse in her guard. In the meantime Lily legitimately enjoyed talking with Cassidy, as unusual as that is for her.
- Fei Fong Wong: 'Rescued' him from an Aveh prison. They had to tie him up and that's fine.
- Hiro: Nice kid, good with machines, highly competent. Lily's fond of Ruby, who appreciated her fire magic.
- Lucia: Fascinating, on many levels. Lily doesn't find her demeanor particularly off-putting, but she is very interested in her magic.
- Sephilia Lampbright: Adorable.
- Talise Gianfair: Starting to make a habit of working with her. Lily's fine with this; she seems reliable, though it takes longer for Lily to rely.
- Virginia Maxwell: Lily has concerns about Virginia, but can't deny her abilities. A lot of concerns. Would work with again, though.
Enemies
- Jude Moshe: Lily has a fury for this man that goes beyond the reasonable. Ordinarily Lily can't spare the energy to begrudge everyone who seeks to do she or Leon harm, but Jude is an exception. The truth is that their first encounter was a very close call, and Lily remains deeply unsettled. Jude taps into a deep well of anger that Lily only sometimes shows.
